1 PROLOGUE

A deafening lightning thunder filled the atmosphere as the storm came closing in by the lands of Canada. Suddenly a heavy knock on the Santiago's door echoed towards their hallway.

"Sandali lang!", Mr. Santiago shouted.

He then opened the door and was surprised that a poor old woman wearing a black coat was standing in their front doors in the middle of a storm.

"Hello, Can I please stay at your house just until the storm has finally stopped?", The old woman asked my father with a very raspy voice.

My father was a bit hesitant and paused for a while to think. He then looked at my mother and as he stared at her she then looked back with a mad expression in her face.

It was so clear to him na ayaw ng kanyang asawa na papasukin ang matanda.

With a heavy heart my father told the lady that she can't stay for the house is already crowded.

Silence had overcome the atmosphere they can feel the wind becoming thinner and the storm somehow disappeared. The lady smiled and walked towards the other households.

After the stormy night my father went outside to see the damages caused by the storm. He was then surprised when he saw a diary in their front door. As began to pick it up his saw an unfamiliar writing in side of the book. He then began to read it out loud.

"Quien me abraza ahora está atado con esta maldición. Una nueva alma recibirá una bendición o una maldición basada en las acciones que haya realizado."

"Hmph...what could that mean?", he shrugged and continued to walk along the neighbourhood.

Suddenly as he was about to go inside his house, his wife started screaming and asking for help.

"Pedro tulong! Manganganak na ako!", Mrs. Santiago kept screaming inside the bathroom.

"Where are you?", Mr. Santiago shouted.

"What ! are you in the CR honey?", tanong ni Mr. Santiago.

He suddenly realized that she must be really in the bathroom but it was too late, he opened the door and saw their new born baby fell towards the toilet.

"Oh my God! Yung baby kunin mo!", Mrs. Santiago yelled and because of the shock and tiredness she was feeling she became dizzy and past out.

Mr. Santiago no longer knows what he was going to do so he past out to, after a minute passes by nahimasmasan na silang lahat at agad inasikaso ang sanggol.

The baby was cute but may pagkapango dahil sa pagkahulog nito but for them it was their new blissful start in life, well yun ang inakala nila.

After the baby was born series of bad luck had overwhelmed them and it caused them to file a divorce so that they can end their own relationship.

Mr. Santiago along with his daughter went to the Philippines, changed their last names to fortune to cover their bad lucks and continued to live their own happy life.
