Kira stared in complete awe at her reflection.
Her grey eyes were replaced by hazel ones, her light brown hair was now completely white, and not to mention the change in her facial structure and physique.
Instead of her usual black attire, she wore a basic knee-length pink dress that seemed to be a little worn out.
She most definitely did not look like a twenty-nine-year-old, but rather a twenty to twenty-four-year-old.
"Are you done yet? This mirror's kind of heavy you know..." The girl's voice pulled her out of the momentary trans she'd fallen into.
Kira's gaze met the girl's, showing that she was clearly skeptical, and had yet to come to terms with her new reality.
"There's no time to be surprised, Heather. You have to get ready, else..." The girl gave Heather the look that instantly made her stand to her feet.
She most definitely wasn't looking forward to feeling that intolerable pain again.
"Are you okay?" Lyra asked as soon as she saw Hazel step out of the bathroom.
Kira wordlessly walked past her and headed for another door she hoped to be the closet. And lucky for her, it was.
After absentmindedly changing her outfit, she stepped out to find Lyra still waiting.
Kira visibly frowned, questioning the continuous presence of the young woman.
"Uhm... Hazel, I don't think this outfit is appropriate for the dinner..." Lyra cautiously remarked.
She could tell something was off with Hazel since she'd woken up.
Kira gazed at her in disinterest, before proceeding to walk out of the room. Her outfit was the least of her problems at the moment.
Lyra frowned worriedly before proceeding to follow Hazel.
Kira stopped atop the double staircase, looking down into the living room area.
"Shall we?" Said the little girl as she motioned Kira down the stairs.
Lyra glanced at hazel confusedly, wondering what she was looking at.
"My name is Rose by the way." The girl added as they proceeded down the stairs.
Kira kept a blank face and retained her silence.
Keeping silent had always been her way of dealing with overwhelming situations. She would stay quiet, observe her surroundings, then hopefully think of a solution.
When she reached the bottom, she found a woman who looked to be in her fifties, seated on the couch.
The woman scrutinized her from head to toe in disapproval.
Her son had invited an important business client over for dinner, and she didn't need her useless daughter-in-law spoiling it with her underdressed look.
"Hazel, what on Earth are you wearing?" She asked, her voice calm but full of warning.
"Uhh...I'm sorry Mrs. Reyes. Hazel's not quite feeling like herself and that's why—" Lyra tried explaining but was quickly cut off.
"Then why is she even here?" Mrs. Reyes asked, "Take her back to her room immediately!" She hissed, slightly raising her voice.
"Y— yes Mrs. Reyes." Lyra nodded obediently, before proceeding to gently grab Hazel's hand, leading her upstairs.
Kira didn't protest and let Lyra drag her upstairs again. Right then she concluded that whoever this Hazel was, she was far form the family's loved one.
Just as they were about to enter the room, Kira heard something from downstairs that made her halt in her steps.
"Mother, I'd like you to meet my newest business partner, Sofia Alison."
