2 Chapter one

My name is Alicia. I am just a normal 20 years old. I finished my undergraduate diploma and waiting to continue my bachelor degree next year. Meanwhile I work for my brother's company for some workplace experiences. People said I'm always happy and cheerful. I have lots of friends, friends from work, friends from high school and friends from collage. I hang out with them after work and on weekends. Beside I have a really good relationship with my family. Our family has dad, mom, my younger sister and younger brother. I'm really living the best time of my life. Sometimes I even wonder what did I do to deserve this life.

"Hey Ali, do you want to hang out after work? There is a new restaurant opened nearby". My coworker Susan asked me. She is a cute girl with curly short hair, tall and slim. She have been very kind to me since I started working here.

"Sure, sure! Let's go!" . " But I will have to finish the presentation for tomorrow's meeting first. Please wait for me. And hey, why don't we ask Bruce and Julia to join us?". "Ok I will ask them" replied Susan.

"Okay! Finished!, let's go"

"Hello Bruce, where's Julia?. Won't she come with us?". "No, she said she has date with her boyfriend, that'll be just three of us" said Julia.

"Wow, this new restaurant is really nice".

"I will order steak, how about you guys"

Susan - "I'll have pasta."

Bruce - "I will have steak too, hey, how about we order some wine too? Are you ok Ali? You have to drive back home, right?"

Me - "It's ok, I will leave my car at company and take a cab home."

Bruce - "Ok! Let's drink!"

Te~te~te~te

Oh alarm! Oh my head! I have to get up. Well, at least it's Friday, I will have a long rest on the weekend.

Susan - " Hey Ali, how are you?. Yesterday was a blast, huh?"

Me - "Yes, It was but I really has a really bad hung over. I really need to rest tonight."

Julia - "Hey guys!, Sorry for not going with u guys last night. But today is my birthday and I'll treat you guys at K Bar tonight, ok?"

Me - " Sorry Julia, I can't. I don't feel very well and need to rest tonight."

Julia - "Come on Ali, it's my birthday and I also want to introduce my boyfriend with you guys, please!."

There she go with her puppy eyes and gosh I can't say no to her.

Me -"Ok, ok". She smile playfully. "But I'll have to go home first and will meet you guys there".

Julia - "Ok let's meet at K Bar at 8 pm."

After work I stopped by at a mall to grab a birthday present for Julia and went home to get ready. When I arrived at the bar at 8:30, everyone is already there.

Julia- "Hey Ali, thank for coming. Let me introduce you. This is my boyfriend Mike. Mike, this is Alicia"

Me - "Nice to meet you"

Mike - "Nice to meet you too! I heard a lots about you from Julia that you are a really free sprit . I think we will get along just right."

Mike kissed Julia on the forehead as he smiling and talking. Mike seem like a nice guy. I think we will get along well.

Me - "Happy birthday Julia. "

Oh, speaking of birthday day, I forgot her present in the car.

Me - "Hey, I left your present in the car. Let me go grab it fast. "

On my way to car park I am thinking about how cute Julia is when she is with Mike. She keep smiling and looking him with such loving eyes. This must be how people feel when they falling in love. This is such a beautiful thing. I think being in a relationship isn't that bad. Wish I could find someone I love and who love me too.

I unlocked the car and opened the passenger's side door to get the present. "Present...present". Oh I smiled as I noticed I was humming. I must be in really good mood. I took out the present and closed the door and turned back with a grin on my face.

"Oh my god!!!" There is a guy standing there and he is too close. He really scared the hell out of me. He is really tall like 6" or 6' 2". My height can only reach to his chest. I looked up to him but I can't see his face coz his bang covering his face. My heart starting to pound co of fear. What do this guy want? Is he a thug? Is he going to robe me? Alicia pull yourself together, you have to pretend like you are not afraid of him. Ok I will just ask him what do he want,

"What...what do you want?"

"Lighter" he whispered.

"What!!" I asked him again.

"Do you have a lighter?" He said in such a low voice but I can hear him clearly this time.

"No I don't have one", I answered him. He didn't say anything nor leave. He was just standing there silently and staring at me. The situation was really awkward. What should I do? I have to say something.

"Umm, can you move, I need to go"

"Are you sure you don't have a lighter?" he asked again,

"Yes I am sure. Now leave!" I said irritably.

"Ok!" he said as he move.

I left that place almost running. "What a weirdo!". My heart is still pounding and my hand are cold until I met with my friends in the bar again.

"Hey Julia, this is for for you" I gave her the present.

"Thank you Ali".

"Here is your drink Ali" Susan handed me a gin tonic.

" Oh I can't drink tonight. I have to drive. Plus I haven't recovered from last night hangover. I'll just have orange juice or coke may be"

"Okay. If you insist"

The whole night I can't forget about that strange giant guy from the parking lot. I looked around the bar in hope of seeing him. But I didn't see him again that night. Oh he is just a passerby I don't have to think about him. Not like we will meet again. That's what I thought at that time.

I left the bar around 11 pm. As I walked to the parking lot, I kinda thought about that guy again. Ah get out of my head you weirdo. On my way home, I started to notice a car was tailing me. I don't know since when but I noticed it because there was almost no traffic at that time of the night. May be I was overthinking. May be we are just going the same way.

I got home, took a bath and change into pajama. My head is still a bit dizzy. I opened my window for some fresh air. Oh my god, that car! The car which following me is parking in front of my house. I closed the window quickly in panic. Am I being stalked??
