I stare back at the tenno captain, sneering.
He seems lost in thought.
"What about steel meridian?"
"Ah, hell no bud."
The tenno seems taken aback by my response, he continues.
"But why? Surely they would have jobs for you."
I respond concisely, making sure I get my point across.
"They help refugees and cowards, I am neither. I am grineer."
With this statement I stand up and pop some credits down onto the table. I make my way towards the medical bay to check on Drum.
I enter through a see through cloth, medical ospreys whisk past my head, holding trays where before guns would be implanted into the cybernetic drone. If only the corpus were smart enough to invent products that weren't meant to murder, the tenno easily repurposed their shitty robots for something more useful.
I make my way towards Drums resting spot.
2 figures sit by his bed, as I assumed.
I push another cloth aside and see Drum laying with tubes running into the cavity on his chest.
"Is he stable?"
Gome looks to me, answering my question frankly.
"No. He's gotten plasma rot in some arteries."
Shit. He cant die, we've been through so much if he were to die by some shitty corpus I swear I will split Parvos Granums throat with my teeth.
"Can they heal him?"
"Yes, but it will take awhile and be expensive."
Thank god. If money is the concern I can always make more.
"Well, were in need of credits now?"
Wasp breaks open from her stupor and looks to me.
"Yes, atleast 450,000 credits for the operation, how will we get those credits commander?"
"Well Wasp, have you tried prostitution."
Gome and Wasp look at me blank faced, Wasps face slowly turns red like a tomato.
"Im kidding, im kidding."
I reply with a smirk, to which Gome lights a cigarette and takes a huff and Wasp promptly stands up, slaps me, and walks away.
"I thought a little comedy would lighten the mood."
Gome shakes his head at my answer to the crude display.

After a few minutes of exploring I find a kiosk full of big tablet looking devices, warframes stand in the kiosks clicking away swiftly, I walk and eventually find an empty space.
I click and the tablet opens, multiple tabs display.

Its almost identical to the menu in warframe but is missing some things like nightmare missions and I dont recall the jobs and assasination tabs ever existing.
I tap on assasinations.

Ah hell naw these are way to hard. If I encountered a low level eximus he would wreck my shit, no way I could fight an infested demi god.
What about jobs.
As I open the tab 100s of notifications pop up.
Various exterminates, resource gathering and other odd jobs as the tab suggests, but in the top another option appears.

I open it up and a scrolling tab appears listing any parameters.

They are all self explanatory, and all sound decently easy. Except for the 3rd one.
The first one would also be weird as the ostron adore the tenno and hate grineer so my team being their bodyguards would make the merchant very uncomfortable.
So the second is my only option.

This sounds brain dead easy, just flying to fortuna which isnt even that far, the only stipulation is that its corpus airspace and could be risky if we are found in open space by a patrol.
Fuck it we need those credits or Drum wont make it.

Out of a small slot on the tablet a slim blue watch looking device pops out, I grab it and slap it onto my wrist. I open it and only a blank background is displayed, a messaging app sitting in lonesome at the side of the screen.
I turn off the device and decide to keep exploring the city sized relay, in the games we only see a tiny portion of these massive places so seeing them like this is pretty amazing, its like a little town with restaurants and factories, and all kinds of little stores selling guns, plushies and everything between.
After walking for a few hours and ogling at all kinds of rocket launchers and guns I could never afford I feel a slight vibration on my wrist.
I pull up the watch and open the messenger.

Simple enough, time to go meet this corpus schmuck.
After descending down a few elevators I make my way past the new loka and cephalon suda branches, eventually arriving at the perrin sequence operation.
I enter and many corpus looking guys eye me weirdly, wich I guess they have the right to. Some grineer in commander armor just waltzed in.
I look around for the person im supposed to be meeting, out of the corner of my eye a hand waves me over. I get a good look at the schmuck.
He is in corpus techman battle armor, his helmet is lifted up and an ugly face with a weird mustache greets me.
"Ah, I expected a tenno. Not many mercenaries operate freely anymore."
Schwaz sticks his hand out to me.
I shake it with a firm grip and I sit down to get the details.
"So I imagine your ship doesnt have void cloaking so this operation is going to be a bit tougher, grineer? Scavenger? Erm, whatever you are."
As I imagined he doesnt know how to get past the corpus.
"Im am a grineer, just not one who wishes to serve the queens. As for the corpus problem I have a solution."
The techmans eyebrows raise, interested in my proposal.
"We need a corpus ship, and there just happens to be a mildy damaged crewship that is going to get scrapped by my tenno acquaintance, we mask our signal and say we are coming for repairs after a battle, the only stipulation is that most of the damage on the crewship will remain and make the ride rocky."
Schwaz smiles fiercely at my solution.
"I thought all you grineer were idiots, but this plan seems mostly fullproof, security around fortuna is already lax. I agree, your payment will be wired once my fence in fortuna tells me of a safe delivery. Deal?"
We shake hands once more and then we exchange some contact information.
Its my fault for Drum being injured, I flew right into a battle. Im not dragging anyone else into this.
This is my mission, and my mission alone.
I walk towards the shipyards and aproach the beaten up crewship.
A security officer aproaches me.
"This area is restricted to tenno only."
"Shut the fuck up."
I tower over the man and push him aside.
He walks away slowly, hunche over his tablet.
I enter the ship and flip on the main power, a robotic voice sounds out.

(Ferrite armor has sustained major damage, please exfil to a repair bay.)

I give the engines fuel and turn the wheel down, clicking it in place and slowly I hover the ship up.
I hope that tenno bastard likes losing 100k worth of scrap hehehehe.
I engage thrust controls and make my way to the perrin sequence supply bay.
