9 Increasing Talent!

Soon, all of Bai Hei's questions had been answered.

He had decided to try and enter the Fighting Martial Sect!

It was one of the Yellow Petal Kingdom's five main sects! In the Yellow Petal Kingdom, there were a total of six big powers, all equal in strength:

Blossoming Peach Sect: Focuses on dual cultivation.

Flying Saber Sect: Focuses on Saber Arts.

Dominating Spear Sect: Focuses on Spear Arts.

Slashing Sword Sect: Focuses on Sword Arts.

Fighting Martial Sect: All-rounded.

And of course, the Royal Family.

He had decided to go to the Fighting Martial sect because there would be more variety of people. They would all have different Martial Skills and arts. This way, he would be able to gain more battle experience, quicker.

The Fighting Martial Sect's recruitment requirements were less strict than the other four sects.

The only recruitment requirement was to have a cultivation of second-layer Body Tempering Realm. If that wasn't possible, then you would need above average talent.

However, just having a second-layer cultivation didn't mean that you would be instantly recruited! There would be a trial each year. Those who were able to impress the elders, (or whoever was judging), would be recruited.

Bai Hei was currently thirteen years old. Most people also started to cultivate at the age of thirteen. This was because the body was still developing at that time. Cultivating early would stunt your physical growth and it would also affect your cultivation speed in the future!

Bai Hei sat down on the bed, next to Piggy and Zhao Feiyan.

With a wave of his hand, he took out the Nine Dragon Rotation manual, the 'heaven-defying pill' box, and the ancient map.

At the sight of the items, Zhao Feiyan and Piggy instantly perked up.

Bai Hei pointed at the pill as he asked,

"Feiyan, what's this called?"

Even she couldn't help but to smile with pride,

"Bro! This is a pill that my avatar found in that same grav- tomb! It said that it was called the: 'Heaven-Defying Talent Pill!'. The only one of its kind!"

Bai Hei ignored the 'grave' part as his eyes shone brightly. Changing someone's talent was definitely heaven-defying! And it most likely was the only one of its existence. Changing talent was absolutely no easy feat!

He looked at Zhao Feiyan as he asked,

"Why would you give this to your inheritor, don't you need it?"

She giggled as she told him,

"It can only bring your talent up to twelfth-grade Earth rank! My talent is twelfth-grade Sky rank!"

Bai Hei looked confused as he asked,

"Earth rank, what? What are these ranks and grades?"

Zhao Feiyan looked at him in confusion as she said,

"You don't know? Talent is categorised into ranks and grades! They are:

Yellow: Grade 1 - 12

Profound: Grade 1 - 12

Earth: Grade 1 - 12

Sky: Grade 1 - 12

These are the ranks and grades of talent!"

Bai Hei looked slightly disappointed when he realised that his talent was a whole rank lower than Zhao Feiyan's. But he also knew that it made sense, considering that she had enough power to destroy a cave that was miles long with just a wave of her hand.

He looked at her as he asked,

"What's your cultivation?"

"For some reason, my body's growth wasn't affected by cultivation when I was younger. It was probably a physique..? Anyway, this meant that I could cultivate early, at the age of eleven, I started.

Right now, it's been two years, and my cultivation is at the Core Expansion realm!"

He nodded his head in awe. Two years and she was already at the fourth realm of cultivation! Well, she was a top talent. Literally.

Bai Hei didn't really care though. He had his Time Stop ability. Who could defy that power? He would be invincible if he got stronger!

He leaned towards Zhao Feiyan as he said to her,

"I need to ask you though. Are you my master or my servant? I'm your inheritor but also your master..?"

Zhao Feiyan stood still in shock and hesitance, before saying,

"Errr... How about in the middle? I'm your friend? A comrade?"

Bai Hei nodded as he pointed towards Piggy and said,

"But your avatar is my full-fledged slave."

Zhao Feiyan just blushed as she nodded. She could feel what her avatar felt, and she knew what her avatar thought too. She knew the feeling of having Bai Hei 'inside'.

It wasn't the sensation that she felt, but the feeling. So it wasn't enough to make her go crazy and masochistic like Piggy.

Bai Hei sat down onto the bed as he looked at the box with the pill.

He opened it up and instantly, a divine fragrance wafted out from the box and filled up the room. He couldn't help but to let out a gasp as he saw the pill's appearance.

It was perfectly spherical and glowed like a pearl. It seemed to contain many different pictures and scenes. The pearl was extremely illusionary in the way that it seemed to have no one colour. Myriads of different colours shifted and turned around on the surface. When looking at it, it seemed to naturally input the words, 'Destiny Altering' into one's head.

Zhao Feiyan and Piggy were also completely enamoured by the pill. They had seen it multiple times, but they still couldn't help but to be amazed at it.

Zhao Feiyan crawled over to Bai Hei's broad back as she put a hand on it and said,

"I'll help you refine it."

"Ah. Thanks!"

Bai Hei looked at the pill for a few more seconds before popping it into his mouth without hesitation.

A bright, colourful glow surrounded his body. A bright, red blush was on his face as he felt the warm streams of unknown energy swiftly flowing through his body. It felt like he was floating on a cloud...

He shot up as he sat straight and remembered to refine the energy. Slowly, he started to refine the energy, absorbing it into his body.

One hour...

Two hours...

Three hours...

...

Around ten hours later, Bai Hei's eyes suddenly shot open, while Zhao Feiyan fell backwards onto the bed, breathing heavily, the sweat sticking her clothes to her body, accentuating her curves.

While Zhao Feiyan was recovering, Bai Hei was also fatigued too. He could feel the change in his body, but he was too tired to test it out.

He closed his eyes as he let his body fall backwards, next to Zhao Feiyan.

After Zhao Feiyan had recovered a bit, she looked towards Bai Hei and gently smiled as she wrapped her arms around him.

And so - like this - they both drifted to sleep...

Piggy just looked on in jealousy, before laying down on the other side of Bai Hei.
