6 Continuous Breakthroughs!

Bai Hei had tried everything!

It had been over an hour since he had tried to leave. He walked around the whole room, and checked every inch for some sort of exit, but there was none!

He even tried to punch the walls, but the jade walls were far too firm...

He even tried some 'unconventional' methods. Like grabbing the Empress and throwing her at the wall. Or just using her as a weapon.

That didn't work either since he couldn't get enough power. He was way too weak at just the first-layer Body Tempering Realm!

He would try to use the dagger, but seeing how strong the jade is, he was reluctant.

Soon, Bai Hei gave up and instead focused on cultivating.

With the dense and also vast spiritual energy in the room, he could cultivate ten times faster than normal! And it would take him many years to even use it all up!

Bai Hei had the gut feeling that he needed to do something specific for the time to resume.

He threw all of the thoughts to the back of his mind as he started to cultivate. A swirl of Qi surrounded him as he started to absorb.

...

Around the time it takes an incense stick to burn, sudden crackling and booming sounds were emitted from his body, along with specks of lightning surrounding him.

'Second-layer Body Tempering Realm!'

'Two Thunder Lotuses!"'

He wasn't going to stop there, however. He carried on cultivating.

...

After around an hour, even louder crackles and booms were emitted from his body. Along with thin streams of lightning surrounding him.

'Third-layer Body Tempering Realm!'

'Three Thunder Lotuses!'

However, he still wasn't stopping there!

...

Another few hours later:

'Fourth-layer Body Tempering Realm!'

'Four Thunder Lotuses!'

This time, the crackles and booms were far louder and heavier than before. The streams of lightning were more vibrant and thicker. This was because he had went from third-layer to fourth-layer!

The first to third-layer was know as the early stage. The fourth to sixth-layer was known as the middle stage.

Obviously, this meant that breaking through from the third to fourth-layer would bring an immense amount of power!

Bai Hei clenched his fists as he roared out loud,

"HAHAHAHA!"

He felt an incredible amount of strength in his body! He estimated that with just a punch, he could shatter through multiple trees!

That wasn't including his thunder! With his four Thunder Lotuses, instead of fourth-layer, his combat prowess was leaning towards the fifth-layer!

If he was at the first-layer and had four Thunder Lotuses, he could be equivalent to a third-layer, however, the higher the layer and realm, the bigger the gap!

Bai Hei decided to stop here since he felt that he could resume movement. It was as if it was just a matter of will. If he wanted to freeze, it would freeze, if he wanted it to resume, it would resume.

However, he decided to first cultivate the Chaos Ray and try to break out of the place.

He got the manual out of his ring and opened it.

'Chaos is the beginning! Controlling the power of Chaos means controlling everything!

The Chaos Ray is merely the start! It has nine levels, each level has a qualitative difference in power and difficulty to achieve. With the first level, Faint Ray, one would be able to pierce through fifty layers of steel! With the second leve-'

Bai Hei read onward excitedly. If the Heavenly Empress had this on her, it was surely something amazing..? Did this mean that it could really allow him to control everything?!

He doubted it though. Controlling everything meant literally everything. It meant that he would be able to change the laws of the universe itself, which was impossible!

Bai Hei went towards the first page and read the writing. It seemed that he had to comprehend it? He read the first part repeatedly.

Unknowingly, eight hours had passed. Bai Hei suddenly closed his eyes before opening them, a faint flicker of purple flashed across his pupils.

"Chaos. It doesn't let me control everything, but it lets me become everything..? The power of Chaos is to imitate! To morph! To copy!"

He nodded in satisfaction. This seemed a tiny bit more feasible. However, the notion of being able to copy was still ludicrous. It meant that he could copy the elements of other people. Or he could copy his own.

For example, copying his own element of thunder would mean that his thunder had doubled in power. This was not mentioning that the Chaos Ray itself had incredible piercing power!

Bai Hei learnt that the Chaos Ray really was an amazing art! However, it didn't state what the ranking or grade of the Martial Skill was, so Bai Hei just guessed that it was something good for sure.

He got up onto his feet and stretched himself out, causing small crack sounds in the air.

With his finger extended out, he closed his eyes as he focused on the Chaos Ray that he had comprehended. Usually, people would just understand the Martial Skills and not the laws behind it, however, Bai Hei had the tiniest bit of comprehension of the Chaos Law.

He infused his understandings into his beam and let it loose towards the jade wall. With speed that surpassed the sixth-layer Body Tempering Realm, a purple beam with glowing streaks of lightning zoomed straight towards the wall and pierced into it!

Instantly, Bai Hei stood frozen in awe. Not because of the power of the Faint Ray that he had just used, but because of the power of the jade wall!

He had imitated the power of thunder, so it had double the power, in addition, the Faint Ray itself should have had immense piercing power!

His Qi was almost completely sapped... That one attack would have been able to instantly slay a sixth-layer Body Tempering Realm, or maybe even slay a weak seventh-layer Body Tempering Realm cultivator!

It was important to know that this attack was only created by a mere fourth-layer Body Tempering Realm cultivator!

The attack had pierced through around a metre of the jade, but still he couldn't see the other side! Bai Hei had a grim look on his face as he got out the daggers and said to himself,

"Since I have a higher cultivation, I may be able to bring out more of the daggers' power!"

He held them both in his hand. They were both still somehow exactly the same weight. He then had a sudden thought. He cut himself and let a trail of blood fall onto the blades.

Instantly, a trail of blood flew out from the cut on his finger, and landed onto the thin black lines in the middle of the purple blades.

Slowly, but surely, the blood was being 'absorbed' deeper into the blades. After a few minutes, the blood had completely disappeared. And just as he was about to use it, glowing black runes appeared on the dark, purple blades - giving the daggers an ancient but mysterious look.

The runes stopped glowing, but they were now on the purple blade and didn't disappear.

Bai Hei looked at the daggers in amazement. He held them in his hand as he swished them around through the air, creating sharp, slicing noises. Suddenly, he felt a link to the daggers, similar to the ring of his, but stronger.

The daggers themselves felt lighter, and were perfectly heavy for his current cultivation. Suddenly, Bai Hei had the urge to throw it.

He brought one of his hands back, and launched the dagger straight towards the jade wall. Instantly, a stream of pitch black light zoomed straight into the wall at indescribable speeds! Somehow, Bai Hei could feel that it broke through around ten metres of the jade! And then it fell onto the floor.

Didn't this mean that he would be free, if he kept doing this?

He tried to call back the dagger to him and as soon as he did, the dagger disappeared from its place and appeared in his hand.

"Wh-What?!"

Didn't this mean that he could never lose or be stolen of his daggers??

Bai Hei threw the dagger again at the wall. Although he tried to to get it right next to the previous hole, it ended up being a few inches off. After all, he didn't specialise in throwing daggers or knives or anything on those lines.

Once again, the dagger broke through all of the jade and was called back into his hand.

For hours, he repeated this process, his throwing skills slowly being refined.

He huffed in displeasure and pleasure at the same time as he looked at the wall. There was countless riddled holes in the jade wall because of when he missed. But now, there was one big hole which was big enough for even the Heavenly Empress to walk through!

He was 5 feet and 4 inches, whereas the Empress was around 5 feet and 8 inches!

Firstly, he wanted to check out the thing at the end. It was the same small stone cave that he had seen earlier! Stone bed with a coffin on top of it and a table that had a few items.

He started to walk towards it, eager to see what the items could be!
