1 PROLOGUE

"Hmm! This is?" Zhenyang looked at the purple dot in front of him with a weird face. It was the middle of the night, and he was just returning from his shop, after a day of hectic business. He knew he was tired and sleepy, but definitely not enough to hallucinate. But, if he wasn't hallucinating, then there could be no way he could explain the sight before him. In the middle of the night, below a street lamp, a purple dot, as big as a tennis ball floating seamlessly.

"No matter how you look at it, it's that, right? It's a portal to a different world, right?" Zhenyang scratched his head, trying to get rid of, what he assumed hallucination of the highest order. He once again looked at the purple dot after furiously rubbing his eyes till they turn red, like a drunkard's but the purple dot still didn't vanish, "I know I like otherworld stories a lot and also watch animes like an addict, even so, I know that such typical situations won't happen with me. It's impossible in the real world. It's not scientific."

Zhenyang denied reality, then exhaling a breath that he didn't know he held. He walked away… or that's what he intended to do. Suddenly out of nowhere, a suction force emerged from the purple ball, pulling Zhenyan with so much force that he couldn't move forward no matter how much he tried. Its as if someone grabbed to his abdomen firmly and pulling him, not allowing him to go.

"What's happening? Is it the work of a ghost? Shit!! I heard a girl committed suicide around this area, is this her spirit? Help!!" Zhenyang shouted in fright as he screamed for help. But it was close to impossible to find help in this desolate road. Zhenyang still didn't give up and shouted loudly while struggling against the pulling force, "Sorry, sister. I didn't do anything. Don't kill me, okay? If you have any grudges, I will help you. Just don't kill me, okay? I have an old mother, a bedridden father, and a wife and many children to feed. If you kill me, you will be cursing all those poor souls. Heaven won't forgive you… don't kill me, okay?"

Suddenly the suction force increased, "Shit!!" screamed Zhenyang as his body slowly floated into the air. Having no longer anything to help him resist the force, he could only see himself getting pulled by whatever pulling him. Turning back, he saw the suction force was coming from the purple floating orb, which had currently enlarged to the size of a grown man, "you got to be kidding me!!"

With this last scream, the purple orb expanded and engulfed Zhenyang whole before squinting and squinting until it suppressed into a tiny dot and vanished as if it was never there.

On the other hand, in a tunnel of seven colors, Zhenyang was shouting as loud as possible as he freefell into the unknown. Tears came out of his eyes, and he was frightened beyond words, he desperately wished this was just a mere bad dream, but no matter how much he pinched himself, the dreadful vision didn't go away.

Finally, after what seemed like an hour, a light shined on the other side of the tunnel he was freefalling, this startled Zhenyang a lot.

"Shit! It might be the end of the tunnel? What will happen? Will I die by falling into the ground and turning into a pancake? AAHHHHH!!!" his screams increased in intensity as the light at the end of the downward tunnel shined brighter and brighter. Finally, he reached the end and entered the gate of light and just when he thought he would splat into the ground, he found himself lying in the comfortable ground, with grassy feeling to it.

"This!?" Zhenyang opened his eyes and took in the surrounding he found himself in. It seemed to be a clearing filled with greenery and tall green grasses. He could see a pool not far from him, filled with crystal clear water. The trees look greener and sturdier than what he remembered seeing before. He could even hear insect buzzing and birds chirping. Everything indicated one thing…

He might be in a forest of some kind.

Zhenyang sat up after dusting his chest from grasses and dust. Then he took in the surrounding with a bewildered look on his face, and just one word came to his mind, "Beautiful!!"

That's right. The forest was just too beautiful, the trees are big and strong with green leaves, the same for the grass. The pool is filled with crystal clear water, the sounds of insects buzzing only made the scenery more beautiful.

"It's like watching an animated CGI, not a real-life scenery… I do not believe there is such a place like this in the entirety of China." Despite himself, Zhenyang couldn't help but admire the scenery before him, only for it to crumble into pieces at what happened next.

A shiny deer with white bat-like wings on its back and two heads and a snake for tail came running from the forest to the opposite of the pool and calmly started to drink water from the pool. The deer looked so hideous that Zhenyang nearly screamed in fright, but the fear of alerting this bizarre creature made him cover his mouth with his hands and stop himself from screaming.

Unfortunately, the bizarreness didn't stop there, suddenly a huge shadow descended from the sky. Looking up, he found a huge bird, probably eagle but definitely bigger than a helicopter descended with its iron clamp-like claws and grabbed the deer firmly within them.

{KAww!!!}

{Kroar!!}

The sounds of their roar were so loud that Zhenyang's eardrums nearly burst from them. He covered his ears with his hands while grunting in pain, even still, he didn't avert his eyes from the surreal sight before him. It's like watching a movie in a 3D format, it's like watching a prehistoric movie. After the eagle vanished into the vastness of the sky, the scenery returned to its previous calm state, as if a bizarre event didn't happen a second ago.

Zhenyang's body started to shake uncontrollably, and his mind went blank. He nearly vomited on the ground from fright, no matter how cool minded one was, they couldn't just stomach such a fearsome scene suddenly happening before them.

We humans even get afraid just by watching two dogs duking it out. One can only imagine what impact the scene might have on Zhenyang, who was only through such a scene can only happen in fiction. He scrambled to his feet before whipping his head around and to the sky, trying to find that creature. That's when he saw he wasn't attacked by the creature because there was a huge tree over his head, which perfectly hid his figure from noticed by that bird fo prey.

"S, shelter! I must find a shelter!" he quickly spotted a cave not far from him. Not even daring to stand up, he threw himself to the ground and steadily crawled towards the cave not far from him. It took some time, but Zhenyang finally arrived inside the cave. As soon as he did so, he stood up and ran into deeper into the cave, while covering his mouth with his other hand, afraid that he couldn't control his voice.

The cave was longer than he expected, even after running for 5 minutes, he still didn't find the other end of it. While he ran for another five minutes, the end of the cave gradually came into vision. Not only that, there was something in the ceiling that illuminated space, initially, he only followed it to navigate through it as visibility was practically 0 in this cave. There he saw a table like contraption, above which, what looks like books were arranged neatly.
