5 Chapter 5

( Quick summary of last chapter :

Orange used to guard the forest which protected the kwamis from the humans . While doing so she noticed some of the human beings and quickly learned a lot of things about them , their language , their likes , dislikes , their features , emotions etc . Then she began to stalk a young girl who came into the forest daily . The girl would sit down in the shade of a tree and draw , read , sew etc . She had peace under the secret watch of the orange Kwami .

But one day since orange was busy something had happened to her . )

Orange Kwami ( foxes POV )

While I was away something terrible happened to her . I was out on buisness and had heard rumors but I didn't think that they were true . A dangerous animal , tigers had started to come towards our territory. I didn't believe it before but now that I saw it my own two eyes I was sure . But it was now too late . The girl had died . The tiger and started to bite her . I still wanted to save her as she was kind hearted . I threw rocks and sticks at the tiger but it was of no use . Then I thought of using my power . I used illusion to create a bunch of humans holding guns . The tiger got scared and ran away . I went near the girl and she saw me . She said " dear orange looking thing , thank you so much for trying to save me . But I don't think I will make it . Please use your that power to create an illusion of me as well and live with my family for the next three years . It would mean a lot to me . My last wish is to at least have my family get to do the things I wanted to do in that book . Do you know how to read ? If not you should ask the oldest lady in the town . She will certainly teach you just try to say " grandma please help " . She will always help you .... " . Those were her last words .

I wanted to fulfill her wish so I did what she told . I disguised myself as her and managed to get into the army house . I then had to tell them that I was attacked by a tiger then ran . My speech wasn't there yet so I had to put on the act of suprised and crying for them to believe me . Then the army's thought that I had been so schooled and scared that I forgot how to speak and read . They were very dumb but hey it made my job easier.
