Memories

It was cold when Mira woke. She was laying in deep snow. The wind blew all around her. She shook her head and sat up. The sound of ripping fabric could be heard. It was once a beautiful dress. It was once a beautiful night. Everything had gone wrong in such a short time.

Mira knew who was to blame, but it wasn't his fault. He was desperate. He didn't know what he was doing.

She stood up on shaky legs. Her hair whipped in her face as the wind speed picked up. The temple had to be somewhere nearby. Mira spun in a circle. Nothing. Could it have been completely destroyed?

She took a few steps downhill. Still nothing but snow. The temple had to be this way. Mira kept walking. She had to find the temple. She had to the find the monks. She had to find the Miraculouses.

Something dark could be spotted in the distance. The temple! Mira quickened her speed to a run. She felt relieved part of the temple was still there. What greeted her, however, was heartbreaking. What was left of the temple was crumbling and covered in snow.

Mira felt a chill run down her spine. She approached the temple with caution and mourned for her past home and all those who lived within it. She found herself walking down familiar hallways. How long had she been out? The temple looked like it had been sitting unattended for decades.

A single tear rolled down her cheek. She'd lived here her whole life, and now it was gone. Mira wished there was some way to bring it all back.

The cold wind was making her feet go numb. Her shoes had been lost when the temple was destroyed. Mira was ont he middle of nowhere with only one way to get back to civilization. She clutched the small locket that hung around her neck. It still had one spell inside of it. One spell she kept in it in case of emergency.

With a deep breath, Mira closed her eyes as the locket began to glow and she used all the magic she had left.
