1 The Day Before The New Academic Year

It was the September 6th, the day before school was to begin.

The yellowness of the sun grazed my skin and heated my uniform.

The heat was neither too hot, nor was it lacking, it was perfect.

The morning dew drips from the leaves of the plants surrounding me; it's as if nature had gotten it's vibrant colours back and had developed a more pastel texture at the same time.

I don't know why I felt so good today, but I'm really appreciating everything more, maybe it's because it's the day just before school and I want to treasure it.

I wanted to go out with some friends. However, they were all studying, as we needed to take an exam about what we did last year.

Hee hee, luckily for me, I don't need to study that hard, I'm not aiming for top marks anyway.

Everyone wants to get such high marks that they overwork themselves and their life revolves around school and studies, but for me, I think that's an absolute waste; they don't get to have hobbies, some pupils even take their lives because of the pressure given to them.

What type of education is that?

All you need to do to pass is understand the basics and then apply them in the test, also you should memorize the key terms and their functions and you should pass.

After that, you can forget about them since 7 times out of 10 you're never going to use that knowledge ever again.

Ha.

I should spread my teachings, as if I'm the leader of a sect.

Let me get up onto this park bench and stand up.

*AHEM*

"Hello everyone,

I am Chung-Ho Chaoxiang. I hope you will listen to me, as I show you how flawed this educational system really is."

Waaa~ I really have no shame.

Though surprisingly there are a lot of people gathering around me.

I suppose I'm not the only one with a grudge against school.

"Now don't misinterpret my message. I don't think that school should be banned or anything idiotic like that. However, I believe that it should set a foundation for our futures.

This is what school was made to do. Unfortunately, it's not efficient in doing so.

School should not generalize students into all learning the same thing, as not everyone wants to be the same thing, and not everybody wants to have the same future."

Good, I got a lot of peoples attention, now all that's left is to maintain this number of people so I can spread my message. People already have their phone out, and with a large crowd, it only brings in more people, as they are wondering what is going on. Naturally to satiate a human's undying curiosity they go and check.

"I believe that we should learn the basics. We should write, read and have basic knowledge of math.

We should expose our younglings to other activities, such as art, poetry, sports, music, to see if they get a passion. "

Good now that I have stated the good points, the audience trusts me a bit more, thinking that I'll give a proper argument, now, when I state my negative points, even if I say something slightly biased I can get away with it. Though I still must be careful, as this may be posted on to the internet and as everyone knows, they are a very scary race.

"HOWEVER! We must understand what we will do in life! Then we should go to the education that is suited for what we will become!"

Good, looks like they are hooked, with just a few critics.

"I DISAGREE!"

What? For someone to be so bold!

A girl wearing a white hat with black hair and red eyes

"The society works effectively and efficiently as it is right now, changing it may even lead to confusion and leaving people with no potential education until that confusion will be resolved, this idea, concept, argument, it is one that I may impact the entire world! "

Just, who is this girl?
