(Third POV:)

Everyone had found the place Mahitoasm had been talking about in the chat. Ghost and Souei eventually stopped running around and met up with the main group.

The Lost Cities mod was added on a whim due to its ability to spawn more cursed spirits in the game. In front of them were massive buildings and skyscrapers.

As if the forest behind them was just a figment of their imagination, the city in front of them suddenly cut off the forest. The ground went from dirt to cement as they walked through the street.

"Do you think they have working power?" Sceptix asked the question, yet no one responded. Everyone became serious at the thought of not having running water.

It started when Sloth took the first step forward, and with that step, everyone ran. The first building that they could check was a restaurant.

Pushing open the main doors and going toward the bathroom, Akira turned on the sink. It was quiet for all but a second before the sounds of running, clean water could be heard.

"Fuck yes!" Akira screamed to the heavens, knowing that anyone from modern times wouldn't be the same without running water.

Ghost and Cursed had gotten cups and planned to see if the soda was any good. Sceptix was in the back of the building, where employees would make food.

His eyes sparkled when he saw that there was food still in the fridge and freezer.

"Guys! They have food!" He screamed it out so everyone could hear him, but he didn't expect the response he got.

"Of course, Sceptix would be the first to find the food..."

"Is that the first thing you looked for?"

"Of course, you found the food first..."

Sceptix looked absolutely shell-shocked. It was as if his family dog had just died in front of him, and his friends began making fun of the death.

"Fuck you guys! I just had my priorities straight and knew to search the goddamn kitchen." Sceptix defended his point of view, but from the deadpan state he got from all of the others, it didn't look like they believed him.

"Yeah, whatever you say to keep yourself sane."

"Just be honest and tell us you were hungry."

"I didn't think you would sniff out the food like a dog."

While Sceptix tried and was actively failing at salvaging his dropping reputation, Sloth began thinking of different things. Tuning out the rest of the world, he stared at the restaurant and what he beheld.

'The place is clean and fresh with running water, which is weird because who is it that keeps this place in top shape?

I don't think the place will automatically refill. When you find something in Minecraft and tamper with it, whenever you come back to it, you'll find it as you left it.

Did this spawn in? If that's the case, then by the time we find other places like this, shouldn't all the food be rotten? Or could it be chunk-loaded, where when we get close to something new, it loads into a building?

If that's the case, then that means!-'

"What are you doing? Why are you staring into space like an idiot?" Shizu had questioned him and stopped his train of thought.

"I was thinking, but when you interrupted me, I forgot the conclusion I was coming to. Now I have to try and find my answer again." Sloth responded, annoyed at Shizu's complete lack of patience. The least Shizu could do was wait for him to come to a conclusion.

"I shook you out of your thoughts because we're leaving. The others took the food and drinks. The Minecraft inventory is very useful, as things don't rot in there." Shizu had a smile on her face as she began walking to the door.

"Alright." Sloth followed after Shizu but froze mid-step. "Wait. How do you know things don't rot in the Minecraft inventory?" Sloth's question had caused Shizu to freeze. They had only been in the world for a few hours and had no way of knowing if the Minecraft inventory did that.

They haven't even had enough time to have anything rot in the first place. The information given had no proof to back it up, so why was Shizu so sure of herself?

Shizu quickly turned around with a chuckle. "Have you never played Minecraft? The game where you can hold 64 pieces of steak for over a year and have them be the same even after all that time?" As Shizu kept speaking, Sloth found himself more and more embarrassed.

"Alright, alright, maybe you're right. I just wasn't thinking of game rules. Let's just get back to the group." Sloth pushed his way past Shizu and through the front door of the restaurant.

Shizu followed after him with a small smile. She was definitely going to clown him for the rest of his life for that one.

Once they caught up to the group, they realized that everyone else was in the process of robbing a clothing store. Putting the clothes that fit them in their inventory made it very easy to take.

Even though their inventories may be cluttered with items, the group walked out of the shop with smiles on their faces. That may be because, like children, Sloth and Souei chased each other around the store in a weird game of tag.

"I told you, you weren't catching me. I'm the man in the woods!" Souei still held a smile on his face as he remembered how he 'broke Sloth's ankles' in the store.

"You just got lucky," Sloth responded a bit out of breath but with the same optimism he had before getting crossed up.

The group made their way to a tall building that they could correctly guess was a hotel. Walking through the main doors and to the reception desk, they grabbed the keys to the rooms at the top.

For some reason, they also had new toothbrushes and toothpaste at the desk. In Akira's words, 'this was some fancy shit.'

Akira walked to the stairs and took a lookup. "Yeah, fuck that; we're getting in the elevator." Upon hearing Akira say that Sceptix got curious as to why he would say that.

Walking over to the door to the stairs, he looked up. "Akira I don't see what—Goddamn! We are not walking up that!" Sceptix immediately went back through the door and started walking to the elevator.

"I told you," Akira said as he started pressing the elevator's up button.

When the elevator finally came down and opened its doors, everyone stepped in. It was a tighter fit than any of them thought it would be.

"The fuck is pressing against my back?" Ghost turned around to see Shizu in the corner of the elevator. Shizu waved at Ghost, who turned back around.

"Never mind, continue." Ghost said aloud as he realized what it was pressing against his back.

Once the elevator got to the top floor, it opened to a medium-sized hallway that had a door at the end of it. Akira was the one who grabbed the key to the top floor, so walking forward along with everyone in the elevator, he put the key in the lock.

*Click*

Turning the key, he heard a click and opened the door. From where he was, he could already tell this was a massive penthouse. He could even see a pool where the balcony was.

Letting everyone file in one by one, they began searching around. The kitchen was massive, with two fridges, a dishwasher, a sink, many cabinets, and a large marble table with ten stools around it. It also had a lot of counter space.

The floor had a soft gray carpet that turned to hard white tiles when you went to the kitchen.

The living room was massive, with four long couches in a square formation. There was a large flat-screen TV that actually played shows. They even had YouTube on the TV that connected to their world's YouTube.

Being able to watch people shit themselves to Lethal Company monsters was a privilege they didn't think they needed.

There were four bedrooms, with the master bedroom being the largest, with a massive king-sized bed, large closet space, and a private bathroom.

There were two non-private bathrooms that were also large. Holding a large bathtub that could also double as a shower, it looked like it cost way too much money.

There were many closets, but the last room held four washers, a couple of cabinets to hold detergent, and a closet full of cleaning supplies.

The balcony had a pool with chairs, tables, and large standing umbrellas to protect from the sun. It was a massive pool, but it had enough walking space to allow you to walk around it without fear of falling off the balcony.

Akira took the master bedroom before anyone had any chance to challenge him for it. Seeing Akira take a room, Ghost, Cursed, and Omni took the other three rooms in the penthouse on the top floor.

This left Sloth, Sceptix, and Mahitoasm to share the second-highest floor rooms. Shizu chose to take a room to herself on the second-highest floor as well. Souei took the room across from Shizu's.

In total, there were seven different rooms on that floor. Everyone not living on the top floor could be neighbors on the same floor.

For obvious reasons, everyone would be hanging around on the top floor due to its space and the pool.

Omni lay back in a chair with blue swimming trunks on. He was enjoying the sun with a glass of water on the small table beside where he was sitting.

That was until he heard something intriguing. Getting up and turning around, he cupped his hands against his mouth in a similar way to mimic a megaphone.

"Where are you guys going?" Omni's voice reached Ghost and Cursed, who were about to leave.

"We're going to the forest in order to train. We're going to try and work on our teamwork and skills." Ghost responded with Cursed next to him, nodding. The duo was already getting to work and trying to get stronger.

It brought a small smile to Omni's face. "It's already close to the end of the day, so if you're going to stay out till the night, be prepared! Also, don't forget...

I'm the strongest." Omni shouted the last part to them, making the faces of Ghost and Cursed contort into a mixture of emotions before they decided to frown.

Ghost and Cursed left through the elevator, but that got Omni's thoughts going. 'I forgot; I have to stick with Sloth because he doesn't have any curses. I'll help him get a couple before I do my own thing.' Finally remembering what he had promised Sloth, Omni went to his room to change.
