21 Chapter 11 - A Malevolent Shrine (Finale)

(First POV: SOUEI)

"EXCALIBUR." I stood in front of Mahoraga with my black sword pulled back. Cursed energy fills the blade. "MORGAN!"

Mahoraga tried to slash at me, but the second the sword of extermination tried to touch me, I swung the sword.

The black and red energy was bursting out of the sword and hitting Mahoraga as it cleaved through the shikigami's blade.

*BOOM*

The shikigami was blasted backward as I immediately ran forward with Akira's run attack.

I jumped in the air as my arms pulled the sword back. I tried to cut Mahoraga's head off from the neck, but my sword didn't cut deep enough.

My momentum sent me too far for the creature to retaliate. Bleeding off the momentum by sticking my sword into the ground, I began sliding.

'I need to go faster!' I thought as I put more cursed energy into run attack.

My surroundings began blurring as I rushed in and landed a flurry of strikes. The second I got a hit, I would reactivate my run attack.

*CR-CR*

Activating run attack one more time, I rushed forward with my fist pulled back.

My eyes dilated as I reached Mahoraga's chest. His fist failed to hit me and caused a tremor in the ground.

"BLACK FLASH!"

I said as my punch connected. Reddish-black lightning cascaded off of the shikigami as it slid backward, eventually coming to a stop.

*CLICK*

The eight-handled wheel turned, and all of the wounds I had given the creature had healed.

'Damn, I only have one option. I don't have enough energy to continue the way I was fighting.' I gritted my teeth at the thought as I lifted my sword up high.

I began putting all my energy into the blade. It turned a bright gold as the cursed energy turned into positive energy.

At first, it was only glowing, but then it began expelling energy from the tip. Now the light had expanded into an energy blade, reaching the top of the cave as if to reach the sky.

The golden energy could barely be contained by the blade as I struggled to hold it in the air.

Mahoraga began to rush me as I put as much energy as I could into the blade.

Both my hands gripped tightly on the weapon. My hair was blowing around quickly from the waves generated by the sword.

"Hahh." I breathed outward.

My face contorted in rage as I gripped even tighter on the blade!

"EXCALIBUR!!!"

I pulled the sword downward as hard as I could in Mahoraga's direction.

*BANG*

The golden energy blasting into the creature wasn't enough! I needed more!

"O binding vow, show me the power that comes with promised victory!" I screamed as loud as I could as I made a binding vow with myself.

*VV-BMMMMM*

Excalibur blared to life as the beam grew by a magnitude of five. Fully engulfing the shikigami, but it wasn't enough!

'I'm sorry, everyone. I can't...' I felt the prickling of a tear in the corner of my eye at the thought of losing.

"What?" I whispered as I felt two large hands wrap around my torso.

"Why do you try to do everything alone?"

Rika was speaking to me.

"I can't use any of your abilities, Rika. If I sent you against Mahoraga, I don't think I would still be able to call myself a man." I continued to focus my energy on Mahoraga as I spoke.

"Use me."

"Huh?" That was all I could exclaim as Rika grabbed me by the face and turned my head upward.

I stared at her face.

"Use me. Abuse me. Break me. I don't care; I just want you to live. You deserve everything and more." Rika said as her head began to open.

A single massive red eye appeared and looked as if a tear was gathering in it.

I couldn't use her abilities; I wasn't high enough in grade, so how?

Rika looked at me as my sword began running out of power. "I'd do anything for you, Yuta. Nothing will stop me from giving you everything and more this world has to offer. You deserve more than you can imagine."

Rika was now standing over me. I was out of energy, and Excalibur was out of power. Mahoraga began walking out of the smoke with black burn marks on its body.

Pink energy began gathering in front of Rika's eye. I may or may not have nearly cried.

Turning to face Mahoraga, as the energy finished gathering, I lifted my fingers up to my face.

Rubbing my eyes, I pointed my finger at Mahoraga in a finger-gun gesture.

"Our love..."

"Is..."

"Atomic."

The second I finished saying atomic, I fired my finger-gun gesture. Rika immediately blasted Mahoraga with her pure love beam.

*CLICK*

I heard the wheel spin. Through the beam, I saw Mahoraga's hand come forward in order to try and block most of the fire.

This was bad! Rika needs more power, but how would I give it to her?

She's a vengeful, cursed spirit of love, right? So if I say something to make her love me more, she'll get stronger?

"Rika, if you win..." I couldn't believe I was saying it, but, "If you win, I'll give you a kid!" I almost screamed it out loud. It was very embarrassing.

I swear I saw Rika's pupil shrink as the beam intensity rose.

This was it! The end!

*BOOM*

A massive amount of smoke covered my vision as an explosion took place. Rika's beam was out of power, and I lay on the floor exhausted.

"It was fun, you know?"

A beautiful voice spoke in the cloud of debris. Golden sparkles were generated as the smoke began dissipating.

"Who said that?" It wasn't a voice I had heard before.

"Who do you think, dumbass?"

I immediately turned my head around.

"I'm not a dumbass, bitc-!" I cut myself off as soon as I saw her.

Her hair was dark purple, and her eyes were almost blood red. She was wearing some schoolgirl uniform that only showed off her curves more.

"Rika..." I spoke subconsciously. Somewhere in my body, I knew that it was her. She was beautiful.

She smiled at me as I called her name.

"You may be a dumbass, but you're my dumbass." Her smile grew wider as she finished her sentence. Both her arms were held behind her back.

I smiled at that.

*CLICK*

And then I frowned. Mahoraga was still alive. Damn...

"Sadly, this is where we separate. I'm sure I'll be seeing you in heaven soon. But I hope you'll live a long life." Rika walked up to me, and her hands cupped my face. "After all, I love you, Souei." She said as I felt her lips make contact with mine in a pure kiss.

It only lasted for a moment as she pulled back and began walking away slowly.

Before leaving, she quickly turned around.

"Too bad you couldn't hit it from the back like you wanted. I would have let you if you asked." She said mischievously.

"Yeah, too bad..." I looked down to the ground in sadness until I registered what she had said. "WAIT WHAT?" I immediately screamed out.

By the time I turned to look at her, she was gone. Like she never existed.

"Bitch! If you don't get back down here, I swear, the second I get into heaven, your ass is mine!" I smiled as I screamed to the heavens about what was going to happen when I got there.

*STEP*

Suddenly, Mahoraga's foot pierced through the remains of the debris fog.

'So this is it?' I thought with a little sadness.

(Third POV:)

Souei sat on the ground as Mahoraga walked up to him. The divine general was just too strong.

Souei sat in sadness with his hand up to his face.

"Just do get it over with fucker." Souei said as Mahoraga's hand rose over his body.

Mahoraga's hand quickly came down on Souei's body.

*BANG*

Crushing him to death.

Wait...

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

(A/N: I just saw the blu-ray for Sukuna vs Mahoraga so my writing is going to be on point next chapter. I have been inspired once more!)
