Ancestors

Jungle Biome, OverWorld

The sights were spectacular and breathtaking. Everything seemed so peaceful. Ocelots roamed the edges of the jungle forest, the panda's continued to eat their bamboo, and the snakes hissed as they slithered around on the beach.

No one had ever imagined this new land to be so beautiful. The tall jungle trees towered high up into the air. Leaves on every single tree rustled as the wind blew in off of the ocean.

Standing on the beach were four people. Two female blockheads, and two male blockheads. Everyone was taking in the calming effects of this new land. Among the small group of adventurers, were two best friends. Their names were Steve and Alex. They too were seeking a new life and a fresh start.

After their old home fell to an evil army of vicious pirates, the remaining blockheads quickly fled by ship. Those few blockheads that weren't so lucky to escape, are still trapped. Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide.

A fresh start seemed necessary. Forgetting about their painful past was key as well. Moving forward, creating new memories was everyone's goal. As everyone gazed amongst themselves quietly, a sea turtle swam out of the clear, dark blue ocean and onto the sandy beach.

It was flapping its flippers as it scooted across the sand slowly. Steve, Alex, and everyone else didn't hear the turtle scooching across the sand. Too amazed at how this new land looked was all that they could think about.

"Where exactly are we?" Alex questioned.

Also amongst the group was a cartographer. His name is Sedrick. Sedrick was the blockhead behind creating pictures, maps and amongst other things—paintings too. Sedrick looked down at his map and examined it with his full attention.

"By the looks of it," Sedrick began to say, "we're on the outskirts of the Jungle biome. Not too much further ahead is the Snowy Tundra biome."

The sun was shining bright. It was located just above everyone. The day is now halfway over. Nightfall was fast approaching. If anyone was going to survive, they had to scour this new land for building supplies...starting with wood and food.

"We should hurry," Annabeth, another blockhead in the group, said. "We need to find a safe place to camp out for the night."

"She's right," Steve mentioned, agreeing to what Annabeth was saying. First shelter, then food.

"Let's go," Sedrick said to everyone as he continued to occasionally look down at his map. The last thing he wanted was to lose his way, making everyone else lost too. These lands were very unfamiliar. It's going to take time to get used to their new surroundings.

As the sun continued to move across the sky, everyone followed close behind Sedrick. He was leading the way into the jungle. As the adventurers made their way into the dense and crowded jungle, three powerful blockheads descended down from the sky above. They gently landed on the beach.

There was one blockhead with a Netherrack head. It was burning. White smoke particles rose into the air and dissolved. The second blockhead looked similar to Steve. Blue jeans, black shoes, and a teal shirt with brown hair. You could accidentally mistake him for Steve.

The third blockhead had two faces. On the left side of his face, his head was made out of obsidian; his left eye was purple. On the right side of his face, it was normal. Purple particles were being sucked into his body.

"Looks like we have some new visitors boys," EnderBrine said to his two sons HeroBrine and NetherBrine. Together, they all stood on the beach side-by-side staring off into the jungle biome. "Tonight we'll give them a welcoming surprise."

As the group ventured deeper into the jungle, odd and strange animal sounds could be heard. Monkey's were climbing the tall trees, wolves were growling and barking, and the snakes were slithering about.

The Sun was approaching the end of its day. It wouldn't be too much longer before nightfall was among them. Where is Sedrick leading them? How much longer before they could set up camp for the night? Steve, Alex, and Annabeth were beginning to get hungry.

All of their food was depleted when they were sailing across the ocean, leaving them with nothing to eat. Seeing that their escape was a last minute ordeal, they didn't have time to properly pack supplies.

Their voyage across the ocean seemed like it would never end. Thankfully today it did. Setting up camp was becoming more of a priority as the sun continued to descend from the sky. As they continued to journey through the jungle, a sudden bright light blinded everyone.

Everyone stopped walking and shielded their eyes. Once the light dimmed, a woman appeared. She wore a white curvy dress, and a golden tiara. She was also wielding a golden trident too.

"Who are you?" Sedrick asked the strange female blockhead, "I assure you...we don't mean any trouble madam."

"My name is Victoria," Victoria said, "the Goddess of the OverWorld. Now, tell me. Why have you ventured here?"

"We fled from our previous home," Annabeth answered, "our old home was attacked by vicious and mean pirates."

"So that's why you've come here, isn't it?" Victoria questioned.

Annabeth, Steve, Alex, and Sedrick all nodded their heads at the same time. Victoria smiled cheerfully. She waved her arm at them as she turned around. Instead of Sedrick leading the way, Victoria now was.

Out of everyone present, she was the only one with the most knowledge of this strange world. Maybe she could tell everyone more about what to expect, and how to survive?

"I know just where to go," she said, "just follow me. This way."

Without hesitating to walk again, everyone began following Victoria. Where is she leading them to? Hopefully it was somewhere safe.

As they made their way out of the jungle, they were now entering the Snowy Tundra biome. It all of a sudden became cold. The day was ending quickly. Sunlight slowly faded away as the sun began to set. The sky began transitioning from day to night.

Victoria stopped walking. She turned around to face everyone. She could tell they were cold. Raising her trident slightly, she then slammed it back down onto the ground. Taking a step back, a campfire spawned. It was burning oakwood logs. The warmth of the fire melted the snow around it, while also warming Steve, Alex, Annabeth, and Sedrick up.

"Tonight we camp here," Victoria said, "tomorrow we continue our adventure. Now eat, and then get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a long day."

Steve, Alex, Annabeth, and Sedrick all glanced down at the burning campfire. As the wood burned it crackled and popped. Cooking near the fire were four raw steaks. Oh how they looked so delicious. Once they were ready to eat, Steve and Alex grabbed their steak. Sedrick and Annabeth grabbed theirs too. They all began eating the steak like a hungry pack of wolves.

"Hungry weren't you guys?" Victoria said as she giggled. Steve, Alex, Annabeth, and Sedrick were eating their steaks like they've never eaten freshly cooked meat before.

As Steve continued chowing down on the cooked steak, he glanced over at Victoria. He wiped his mouth clean as he took the last bite.

"Our apologies, Victoria," Steve said, "we haven't eaten in about two days."

"Oh my. Well eat up my friends. An exciting adventure awaits us tomorrow," Victoria said as she smiled at everyone. She lifted her trident and then lowered it, slamming it down onto the ground in a gentle manner.

After she had done that, four red beds appeared around the campfire. If Steve had counted correctly, there were five people and only four beds.

"Victoria?" Steve said, "aren't you going to sleep too?"

"Gods don't sleep silly," Victoria said, "I'll stand watch for the night. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. Get some rest. You'll all need it for the day ahead."
