The goddess placed her head on the interlocked palms of her hands as she stared at Lexine. Although Lexine could not directly see the eyes which were pinned on her, she could feel the uncomfortable stare that the goddess had planted on her.

She coughed and looked down. "Did I interrupt your game of chess?" she spoke cautiously. She had no idea where she was, nor what the woman wanted with her, so it would be better if she was careful.

The goddess finally looked away, and glanced at the chess table, bringing the chalice to her lips and taking a sip. "I was waiting as I hoped we could play a game of chess together as we chat."

She turned her piercing stare back to Lexine, her lips pulling up into a smile once more.

Lexine's lips pulled up as she strained an awkward smile onto her face. "Is that so. I don't know how to play chess though."
