1 The Beginning

Jace watched as car after car passed his spot on the side of the road. He had long given up trying to get one of them to stop.

"It would be too dangerous anyway," he thought.

His parents had kicked him out of the house without warning just yesterday. They took everything but the clothes he was wearing and locked the doors. Now he was alone.

"God damnit," Jace huddled into himself, wrapping his arms around his legs and putting his head down.

He spent hours walking aimlessly through town. His friends abandoned him. He had nowhere to go.

Jace's stomach growled as small rays of sun peeked through the buildings in front of him. It was morning now. How long did he have to wait to eat? He couldn't even pay for it.

"I need a job," his hands snaked their way into his hair as he groaned in frustration. What kind of job could he get with no highschool diploma? He may be eighteen, but his parents pulled him out of school as soon as his secondary gender had presented. And kicked him out of the house before they even did that.

Jace was sweating. It was a cool autumn morning, but his body writhed in heat. He was still denying it in the back of his head. He couldn't be an omega. A true omega even. What are the chances that both of his sub alpha parents would pass down the omega gene? It had to be close to none.

Jace was panting now; he'd never felt like this before. He grabbed at his shirt in an attempt to calm his wildly beating heart. His eyes were slowly dilating as a cool liquid seeped into his pants. Jace moaned quietly, and he immediately felt eyes on him.

"Fuck, I released some pheromones," he thought, "How do I stop this? I don't understand," Jace's eyes sealed shut.

The first wave of his heat came less than 24 hours ago, but it was nothing compared to what was beginning now. Before, he had been able to make it to a clinic, where they tested him for his secondary gender, where they ruined his life. Now though, he could hardly keep his body from throwing itself at every person who walked by.

Another burst of pheromones slipped out with a small cry. He didn't feel like himself. He wanted, no he needed someone, anyone.

More stares glued themselves to Jace's form. He slowly looked up to find a small crowd of people surrounding him. A woman and a man to his right were giving him worried looks, and the two large men to the left crouched over him with hungry expressions. Jace scooted himself away over the concrete sidewalk, but he stopped when he felt the pheromones coming off of them in waves. They were alphas.

"Please," he whimpered to the men, who were once again getting closer to him, "Help me. You have to help me."

Jace squirmed as he reached for the one on the left. His pale hand contrasting against the dark tanned skin of the man he sought. The man smiled, roughly grabbing him by the hand. The one on the left, with skin nearly as pale as Jace's grabbed his shoulders. He shivered under the touch of the two men, who led him to what looked like a small apartment building.

Jace could hardly walk and spent the time leaning against the man who had grabbed his shoulders. Jace's green eyes watched him, studying his face. He had a crooked nose and thin lips. His eyes were deep set and held a heavy and quickly darkening look. A gust of wind sent shivers up Jace's back and blew the man's blonde hair into his face. Jace's knees gave out as the man tightened his grip on Jace's waist while his partner opened the door to the building. The partner's own curly hair also swayed in the breeze.

The two alphas led Jace through dimly lit halls and up stairs that Jace was too out of it to count. They arrived at another door, which the curly haired man opened. Upon entering, Jace saw a large sectional sofa in the middle of the room facing a flat screen television mounted to the wall. The men dumped him on the couch, and from his position he could see clearly through the floor to ceiling window opposite from the door. They were higher up than he thought.

Jace realized that this was probably more dangerous than carpooling to nowhere, but he was lost and he didn't have a plan. Throwing himself to his instincts was all he could do. It was better than staying on the streets anyway.

Jace watched the blonde man pick up his phone and hold it to his ear. He whispered something to the one with curly hair after talking with whoever was on the other side of the line.

The partner walked slowly to Jace who was still laying on the couch. He crouched down and Jace latched onto him. The man let him while he grabbed the edges of Jace's shirt and coaxed it over his head. He flinched when he noticed the bruises covering Jace's torso, but he didn't say anything, instead continuing down to take off Jace's shorts. Slick was dripping through Jace's underwear and down his leg. The man's hands caused him to moan as they slid down the sides of his legs.

"Jaime," the man called, was that the blonde's name? "Come here, I don't think I can get him to the bedroom alone."

Jaime moved around the kitchen island while tucking the cellphone into his neck, "Yeah, get here soon, I don't know how long Zack and I can wait."

Jaime and Zack lifted Jace off the couch and carried him into a bedroom to the left of the front door. Jace was still holding Zack's arm, but Jaime helped him pry it off before they left Jace on the bed, closing the door as they exited the room.
