Omegas

Omegas in the omegaverse are the most looked down on by society. They take up 11 2/3% of the population, making them the rarest of the secondary genders. The three subclasses of omegas are dominant omega (14.3% of omegas), neutral omega (71.4% of omegas), and true omega (14.3% of omegas).

Omegas tend to be physically weaker than the other secondary genders, although if they take care of their body they can match up to alphas just fine. They have generally gentler temperaments, and due to their biology, most of them love children. Both male and female omegas can become pregnant and have children. Childbirth for male omegas can be very dangerous though.

Omegas also have something known as a heat cycle. Every two months omegas have a week long heat. This affects both men and women. During this time omegas lose most of the control they have over their pheromones and release them in large quantities to attract a mate. When omegas are in heat, their fertility is much higher, and they attract alphas (and the occasional dominant beta). Male omegas also release slick, which provides a natural lubricant. Heats can also be triggered by an unexpected spike in alpha pheromones in their environment.

Omegas have the option to use heat suppressors. They are available as shots and pills. They are meant to allow omegas to continue normal life during their heat by postponing their heat or lowering it's effects. It is dangerous for an omega to use suppressors for a prolonged period of time, and it is recommended to allow at least two heats per year. The suppressors that lower a heat's effects are known to act up at times, so omegas that use them may also pair them with different forms of pheromone blockers in case of emergency.

Dominant omegas have mostly omega and alpha genes with varying ratios. Dominant omegas often have some of the temper that alphas have, but it is reigned in a bit by being an omega. Dominant omegas are the second most resistant to alpha command out of the non alpha secondary genders. This is something that contrasts with it's other subclasses that are very susceptible to it. They still have the same sensitivity to pheromones as other omegas do. Dominant omegas also tend to have a physic closer to an alpha than an omega.

Neutral omegas have mostly omega and beta genes with varying ratios. Neutral omegas are the most common omegas. They also have the lowest sensitivity to alpha pheromones because of the beta in them, although they are still greatly affected by them. Neutral omegas tend to have more flowery scents instead of the fluffy, sweet scents of the other omegas.

True omegas have almost exclusively omega genes, but it is very rare for them to come from two omega parents. True omegas have the strongest reactions to both pheromones and alpha command. This can make them easy to take advantage of. Some medications have been developed to help this, but they are highly experimental and could be dangerous.
