2 Dr. Benz

The room was small, and Jace huddled on the warm bed. He was sweating and uncomfortable despite the comforting blankets under him. Everything he touched sent a wave of pleasure through his body. He was almost too sensitive.

Jace felt both disappointed and relieved that the men had left. As much as his body craved their attention, his mind knew that they were strangers to him. Minutes later, a knock on the door drew his attention.

"Hello? Can I come in?" Jace didn't recognize the voice as either of the men who had brought him there.

Jace was unable to do much more than moan out a yes. The door creaked open and another large man entered the room. He looked even more fit than the other two. His black hair was cut close to his head, and his brown eyes held the same heavy look as the blonde had.

"My name is Carter, what's yours?" he asked.

Jace didn't want to talk. His body was burning, and despite Carter's obvious attempt to suppress his pheromones, Jace was so sensitive to them that it felt as though he was releasing them intentionally. Carter's pheromones were even stronger than the other alphas. Jace could only whimper as Carter approached him.

"If you can't speak, that's alright. I have someone on her way right now, she's a dominant omega. She can help you."

Jace nodded. He had enough focus to pay attention, but he didn't trust that his words would come out properly right now. Carter stood in the room awkwardly for a few moments before the doorbell rang and he stepped out. When he returned, he held a glass of water and was followed by a woman in casual clothing. She had shoulder lengthed black hair and big brown eyes. Carter set the glass on the bedside table, and introduced the woman as Dr. Kylie Benz.

"It would be best if you left the room right now, Carter. I know you're trying to help, but your pheromones are probably overwhelming him," said Kylie. Carter nodded and closed the door behind him in his way out. "Ok hon, I do have a dose of heat suppressants, but I can't give them to you without verbal consent, so you'll have to speak or administer the shot on your own."

Jace, still weak, reached his hand out to take the suppressants from Kylie. He may have been assumed to be an alpha for most of his life, but he still knew how suppressants worked. Kylie pulled out a small package with a needle inside. The end of the needle was covered by a cap.

She opened the package and carefully handed Jace the needle, flinching as he stabbed it into his leg and pushed against the end. Jace felt a cooling sensation spread from the injection site to the rest of his body. His previously labored breathing slowed and his pupils returned to normal. "Thank you," he whispered to the doctor who was now sitting on side of the bed.

"It's my job, hon. Now, I need you to tell me your name. Do you have family around?"

Jace paused, "I- My name is Jace. My family kicked me out yesterday. I don't have anywhere to go." He felt like he was admitting defeat. He spent his entire life under the impression that he would be and alpha, someone who stood above all others. He was wrong, and he had been abandoned by those around him because of it.

The doctor sighed softly and shook her head. It was all too common for these things to happen, and she had experienced similar discrimination when she first presented as well. "How old are you? Depending on your age, we may be able to put you into omega housing until you can get back on your feet on your own."

"I just turned eighteen," he said.

She smiled, "Perfect, for now I'll have you stay here. You're lucky you ran into who you did, or you might have been in a much worse situation right now. These alphas may look scary, but they are some of my closest friends, and I've always told them to watch out for young omegas. You're in good hands for now. But, I'll let you rest for a while until I come back, okay?"

Shortly after she left, Jace fell asleep.
