Kevin glanced at his watch for the umpteenth time and stood up to pace the waiting area in front of Myra's ward. It's been an hour since the doctor went in to check her condition and he was starting to lose his patience.
Leo was seated beside him. "She's going to be fine, Kevin. Calm the hell down."
"How can I calm down? You saw her, she was alright, I saw life in her eyes and-" he stopped to breathe. "She passed out all of a sudden?"
Kevin sat down back, running his hands through his hair in frustration.
"Worrying won't change anything, you know that right?"
Kevin looked away without a word.
He was so relieved when she came around and now this?
What if something had happened to her, like some sort of internal tissue damage?
He jumped up when the door swung open, badgering the doctor with questions. "How is she doing? Is she awake now? Are there complications?"
The doctor removed his glasses. "Are you a relative?"
