1 Chapter 1

Hot. She felt very, very hot. The heat was maddening, and hurting! Her head felt like it was being crushed by a thousand hot iron ores. It numbed her every nerve, blurring her consciousness.

Tang Kexin forced herself to calm down. Her heart at the moment was beating too fast that she couldn't breath well. 'What the heck...' She tried to focus... Breath in, breath out. Her butterfly-like lashes fluttered as she peered on her surrounding. She was in an enclosed room, despite of the darkness she could see that the room was almost bare but for the bed she was lying on.

What was going on? She was supposed to be on a mission. But how was she in this bare room? And most importantly, how and when did she ended up being drugged?

Tang Kexin was a secret military doctor of some high rank. And she was very much knowledgable in psychology, that it would be difficult for anyone to take advantage of her, thus making it hard for anyone to drug her.

Suddenly, sounds of footsteps could be heard from outside the room she was in.

"The drug must be at work now... We got to finish what we were ordered to do, now! Or everything will come to naught...!" Although the men outside were trying their best to hushed their voices down, it did not fail to reached Tang Kexin's ears. She might had yet to fully understand what was going on, but she knew it very well that she's not in a good position right now. She got to save herself!

Just as she was to get up, she was suddenly assaulted by a pounding headache followed by an unexplained body discomfort that seemed to get worst and worst as seconds gone by. She tried to crawl out from her place but she had no strength left—the drug that was given to her was powerful!

She forced her mind to focus and just as she moved her hand a little, she had pressed down onto something. And just as the door of the room was pushed open, the bed she was lying into suddenly collapsed, and she found herself plummeted in the air straight down!

The moment she fell, the bed automatically closed down and returned back to normal like nothing happened.

Tang Kexin landed with a 'plop' onto something, and unexpectedly, unhurt. She wriggled, using all her strength she could conjure at her current state, to feel her surrounding. It was a bit strange but she was sure that thing she landed on was a body, and not just some body but rather a leaned, muscular body of a man! Tang Kexin's heart took a skip-beat.

The man's aura at the time was chilly and deadly, but it had a unique feeling that could cause one to be intoxicated, mysterious yet intoxicating. It immediately conquered her own aura, enveloping her whole being. Tang Kexin was became overwhelmed by the man's presence.

She could not see clearly, nor make out what the man looked like. However, as she continued to scan and examined the person underneath her, her body began to tremble with excitement as she felt some crazed desire surged up towards the man within her, coming from the middle down there of her body . She suddenly became like a person who had been struggling in a desert for days and nights and on the verge of drying up, then suddenly saw a green oasis—like a redemption from heaven.

A lethal sense of temptation instantly seeped through every cell of her body. Tang Kexin couldn't helped but softly groaned as her state of mind slowly being overtaken by some burning flame of desire. And without any reservations, she lowered her head and kissed the man, her burning lips suckled his neck without a care.

The man stiffened. His expression was indiscernible within the darkness. However, a sudden coldness instantly crept out, filling every inch of his body. In that instant, a spine-chilling killing intent burst out, overwhelming the place—except, the woman was oblivious of her surrounding!

It was a pity that the current Tang Kexin did not feel any danger nor threats. She only knew that this man closed to her had caused her body to no longer feel the pain and discomfort she had felt early on. Instead, it was changed to intense pleasure and satisfaction.

Furthermore, Tang Kexin's consciousness had long since faded away. She could only do this by natural instinct, and by her subconsciously little knowledge of foreplay she had picked up from here and there. If she wasn't on the effects of this unknown drug, she wouldn't be this bold.

If it weren't for the fact that the man was on a process of detoxification, and that his strength was weakened significantly due to this ongoing process, he would have definitely shatter this reckless woman into thousands of pieces.

The poison he ingested unknowingly was extremely potent, to the point that an ordinary man could go insane if they were to be exposed to even a little bit of it.

His body had obviously became more and more rigid as time went by. "Be good and don't be afraid..." In a trance, an unfamiliar husky voice whispered out into his ear.

The man's sword-like eyebrows furrowed! His large hands grappled the woman's waist, in wanted to break it! How audacious this woman could get! If he hadn't used up all his strength, this woman would end up with nothing left of her.

At this moment though, Tang Kexin was being demanding, "Hmph! You should know how to take care of a woman..." Her courage was indeed quite fat! Her lips then nibbled gently from the man's neck up until they were on his lips.

The man pursed his lips and gritted his teeth. But because of his current state just now, the man who had no power to resist at all started to moan softly due to the woman's persistent provocations, his lips unconsciously parted.

Tang Kexin took the opportunity to delve deeper into the cave. She smiled with satisfaction. It was a smile that rippled with spring wind, a smile that was bewitching and enchanting, and a smile that brimmed with pride and victory.

The man's face darkened as he saw the woman smiled gloriously, as if triumphant. The killing intent in his eyes raged wildly. If only gaze could kill, the woman would be dead by now.

But he was after all a man, a hot-blooded adult man. The coldness on the man's body gradually faded, and his killing intent lost its initial power. His pair of deep eyes dimmed slightly as a strange color appeared in them. The next moment, his sexy thin lips slowly curled up, making up a scene of intense liveliness, that could mesmerise one to the bone, and captivates one soul.

In a flip, the two instantly swapped places. It was unknown if it was a deliberate punishment or not, but the man suddenly lowered his head and fiercely bit Tang Kexin's shoulder.

Despite being in a state of elation, Tang Kexin cried out in pain. The bite was not light, it was likely to leave a mark. As she gasped, the man unclutched his mouth and forcefully kissed her lips, leaving her out of breath.

And by the time the man stopped ravaging her, the effects of the drug in her system had finally dissipated.

Tang Kexin had finally regained state of awareness, and also able to calmed herself down. She had to leave as soon as possible. In the darkness, she fumbled for her clothes, wanting to put them on, but found that the clothes in her hands were a little bit strange and unfamiliar. Fortunately, she managed to put them on after sometime.

"You want to leave?" Just as she was to get off from the bed, a gloomy voice suddenly came from behind. The voice wasn't loud, but it was bone-chilling and dark. It was like a life-threatening talisman that came from the deepest depths of hell, causing one's hair to stand on end.

In the darkness, Tang Kexin's body suddenly stiffen as some chill went up her spine. She could clearly felt the man's gaze boring into her head, oozing with killer intent! She had never felt any intimidation nor fear to anything and to anyone before in her life. Yet at this very moment, she wished the land could swallow her up again and send her to anywhere but here.

She feigned unconcerned about him but dare not move. She clenched her fists tightly with apprehension. Would this boorish man really intended to cut her into pieces?!

Her mouth twitched. Even if she had accidentally barged into his room and wanted to harass him, it was still her, the girl, that was at a disadvantage in this matter. Beside, a smart beauty like her had actually disappointed him?

Furthermore, he took the initiative to viciously bite her shoulder time and time again, and even now, her shoulder was still hurting. It was fine if he didn't respond to her teasing, but why would she want to kill her for no reason? After all what she had gone through, it was not like she willingly wanted this. She was under some drugs, for goodness sake!

However, it wouldn't be that easy to kill her. If he were to make a move, then she would show him who he was dealing with...

But after waiting for sometime, there was no movement from the man behind her. With some doubts, Tang KeXin slowly turned around. She met that man's eyes that were ice-cold deep black, filled with raging killing intent. The feigned indifferent facade she had been struggling to wear, completely turned into shock that her heart even trembled. She had never known that a mere glare could have such power. Alas, the man she had stumbled on wasn't that simple, but rather someone extremely dangerous!

The man was just sitting on the bed, unmoving, but staring fixedly at her with palpable killing intent. It was such curious that the man was not moving an inch despite of the fuming glare he was directing at Tang Kexin.

Tang Kexin's lips curved up in a playful smile as she heaved a great sigh of relief. What? Was he bluffing?

While closely inspecting the man in front of her, Tang Kexin had determined that the man's Qi had suddenly gone awry due to his sudden movement earlier to pull her back into the bed when she was about to get up. And with this he couldn't move an inch!

But even so, the aura being emitted from this man's body was enough to make people tremble in fear, fortunately he couldn't move, or Tang Kexin wouldn't know how to protect herself from this devilish power, she would be scared out of her wits!

"Hmph...! Forgive me, but I gotta leave. I know it would be rude for me to leave you here alone. Beside, it wasn't my style too... Although your skills are not very good, but i knew it from the bottom of my heart, you've worked hard just now. So, more or less, you should at least give me some slack. Okay...?" Tang Kexin's voice was clearly horsed from madness.

The man glared at him as his killing intent intensified. However, a trace of surprise could be seen in his eyes. In the darkness, he couldn't see the smile on her face, but he could clearly distinguish the damn lightness in her voice. Damn woman!

"Woman, you're courting death!" In the blink of an eye, his eyes abruptly narrowed as he glared at her with new wave of killing intent. It was more intensified that it struck her as if it wanted to skin her alive, pull out her tendons, remove all her bones and grind her into ashes.

But Tang Kexin's emerging arrogance was not deterred. She was not afraid of this man, she couldn't do anything to her now. And without qualms, she subconsciously reached into a pouch she noted on her waist and pulled out some few random items.

Looking at the items, Tang Kexin was stunned. These seemed to be some broken pieces of silver. Since when did the twenty-first century needed silver?

Tang Kexin didn't have the time to carefully ponder upon the matter due to the man's unending murderous gaze. Whether it was money or broken silver, it didn't seem to have any effect on what she was about to do. The result was the same.

"This silver is for you. This is the money you painstakingly earned from selling your body. You must definitely take it." Tang Kexin handed the pieces of silver in his hand. After that, she turned around and walked out of the room.

"Woman, it's best if you don't fall into my hands again. Otherwise…" The man gritted his teeth as he stared at her back. The sound was too audible showing his great annoyance.

"Don't worry, there won't be that day." Tang Kexin's answer was firm and confident. With her identity and ability, as long as she didn't want to, no one would be able to find her. Poisoning her was a conspiracy, but meeting this man was pure accident.

The teasing she did to him just now was due to him giving her killing intent despite of the gratification she had unknowingly given him, so she treated it as a harmless joke.

Only, she didn't know that the sky had already changed. She was no longer the Tang Kexin of the twenty-first century, who could still escape with her life amidst the bloody rain and the foul winds.

And it was by fate that the few silver pieces she handed to the man, along with it was a pendant with a special symbol carved on it.

There won't be that day?! Looking at the direction the woman exited, the man was fuming with anger that he started laughing. Very, very good, he wanted to see how that woman would escape. Even if he had to dig sixteen feet into the ground, he would dig that woman out. The world was his, and he could find her, she had no where to hide!

Suddenly, he felt something different from the silver pieces in his hands. His eyebrows slightly raised and the corner of his lips slowly curled up into a smile that was not a smile.
