11 The Demon's Rage

Two months had passed, the news on Alec's negotiation with ANSETT soon spread to the ears of other companies including Hirogori Corp.

Now marching his way into VIVA's building, Henry Hirogori storms into the lobby ignoring the receptionist's constant attempts to stop him, making his way up to Alec's office.

Slamming the office door open, he enters in to see Alec sitting collectedly in his seat while talking to someone on the phone with documents in hand.

Glancing up Alec looks down once again at the documents before hanging up on the phone.

Folding his hands across the desk, he stares up at his adoptive father.

"Mind explaining yourself Alec?" Henry Hirogori's cold hard voice chills throughout the office.

"Merely performing my typical work, that's all father." Alec grins up at the man.

"Alec, don't forget your place in this family," Henry Hirogori reminds unemotionally. "You as a member of the Hirogori family should know there is no tolerance for mistakes or bad business deals."

Blinking innocently at the cold man before him Alec's blue eyes tint a shade darker.

Heh, to think he doted on such a father.

No matter the accomplishments Alec achieved including starting out his own company, he could never surpass his older siblings.

He was never satisfied with him primarily coming from the fact that Alec wasn't his blood son.

Henry Hirogori, his father truly believed in being more superior in authority and wealth.

Alec could now see clearly why Mimi no longer planned on living with such a father. He did not once view her as his daughter. Just a nuisance.

Holding back the hidden revulsion in his voice, Alec amusedly smiles. "Father, if you're concerned about the ANSETT project then you don't need to worry. I offered a solution that works out on both sides and our profits have already raised by ten percent."

Gathering a quick breath, Henry Hirogori glares daggers at the young man before him. Although Henry Hirogori was upset, he had no right to criticize Alec especially when sales were going so well on his side.

Sighing with frustration, Henry Hirogori bids farewell. Adding a few lines of a supposed boost of confidence which ended up sounding like "don't screw up or you're forgotten."

Once sure he was gone, Alec picks up the phone on his desk.

Dialing a number, he turns the leather chair around looking out the window behind his desk.

"You were right, he came over. He seemed pretty furious you know." Alec places a loose strand of his golden hair back on top of his forehead.

"The madder he is the more satisfied I am what's there to complain about?" A childlike voice says from the other end. "You did a good job, big brother, I'm proud of you!"

Smirking, Alec discovered the little girl on the other end of the phone to be quite cunning.

Smart but cunning.

At no time had Alec ever imagined in all his years he'd be following orders of a seven-year-old.

Up till now, he hasn't been harboring any regrets but an uneasy feeling crept over him when he considered Mimi's true capabilities.

How powerful was this child?

If she was this smart how come she never showed her true side to their father?

These constant questions would constantly surround his mind whenever he witnessed her devilish strengths.

"So, my dear brother, are you ready for the following step in the plan for success?" Mimi's teasing voice echoes through the phone.

Scrunching his blond brows together Alec hesitates to answer.

"Don't worry, it's nothing too hard on your part," Mimi starts off. "I'll merely require you to pretend we're newlyweds and buy an apartment together!"

Alec nearly fainted in his chair.
