19 She Was Furious

The sun had begun to set darkening the sky from all light. On the top floor of the apartment complex, Mimi sits on the top of her bed with her laptop on her lap.

Skimming through the internet, she notices a nonfiction pop up on the side of her screen. Following the link, her screen is taken over by a media website. The heading read:

Hiro Corporation Expands their Trades Breaking Records!

Mimi's eyes narrow at the screen her lips tighten in a straight line. Reading the article Mimi notices an image of Kenji's face on the side, in the picture was of him shaking hands with a group of elite men.

Scrolling down into the article she reads they were having an event to celebrate their big success, a group of celebrities, and other businessmen would be there saying it was the biggest event of the year.

After spending an hour on her computer Mimi closes her laptop flinging it to the end of her bed.

Leaning back in her bed Mimi closes her eyes. After shifting around on the mattress, she huffs in frustration to open her eyes staring at the white ceiling.

Turning her head to side Mimi examines a small photograph on the top of her nightstand.

Sitting up she grabs the photograph staring at it with conflicting emotions surging through her eyes.

In the photo was a young little girl with a taller girl next to her embracing her lovingly. The older girl had dark brown hair and earnest rich brown eyes. Her pale skin shone brightly in front of a blossoming cherry blossom tree.

The two were both dressed in sailor school uniforms. Her first "field trip."

That day Emily bought the two school uniforms as if they were both attending school. Because of her father's shame towards Mimi, she never had the chance to attend a real school and was taught online.

Emily raged at her father's unfairness but knew she couldn't accomplish anything on the subject, thus she gave Mimi the school experience by taking her out on a "field trip."

Mimi found it all stupid and pointless, but seeing her sister laugh joyfully Mimi went along with it.

After visiting an art museum, the two sat and ate lunch at a park. Thinking it was the ideal moment, Emily grabbed Mimi and took a photo of the two.

Although it took many tries to get the right angle and lighting, so said Emily, they finally captured a finished picture under a cherry blossom tree.

Mimi wanted to freeze that moment forever and wished for it to never end.

But on their return, their father raged and punished Mimi by securing her in her room for two weeks.

He feared the press could have taken photos of the two and release it to the media revealing his shame...his useless daughter.

Clutching tightly on the frame, Mimi places it back down on her nightstand and walks out of her bedroom to grab her phone.

Dialing a number, she taps her bare foot on the hardwood floors. A cold detached look overshadowed her little face.

"How's the report coming along?" Mimi sternly asks the person on the other end.

"We still haven't obtained anything yet. It seems like they desperately wanted to keep that incident hidden from the world." A man's voice says from the other end.

A chilling smile rises on Mimi's lips. "He can't keep it hidden forever. Keep searching I require a report by the end of the week or you'll have more crucial issues to deal with."

Without providing the person on the other end a chance to respond, Mimi hangs up. Gripping tightly on the phone, thin strands of hair fall in front of her face.

Raising her eyes to look at the window, her violet eyes flash with a vacant bleak expression.

All that could be seen in the living room remain the small isolated figure of a young girl.

...

"Mm...So good!" Mimi squeals.

Standing in front of a cute pastry shop, Mimi bites happily into her strawberry chocolate crepe. The sweet powdered sugar and chocolate filled Mimi's mouth with a blissful taste.

Alec stands beside her laughing with amusement at Mimi's passionate comments on the dessert.

"Big brother, can we go to that sandwich shop afterward?" Mimi asks happily.

Alec's lip twitches at the girl's constant hunger. Did she ever get satisfied?

"Mimi, we came here to accomplish other things than eat, remember?" Alec sighs.

"Hmph...fine!" Mimi pouts.

That day the two had planned to shop for outfits for the upcoming Hirogori event. Mimi mentioned it to Alec earlier that morning as she was eating her lumberjack breakfast.

Although he was against her going, he knew he couldn't restrain her even if he tried.

Dressed in her male disguise, Andras, the two enter popular male brand stores. Mimi planned to attend the memorable occasion in her disguise and hoped to watch from the sidelines.

Little did the sibling duo know the constant stares that glanced their way.

Wearing a modest men's red coat and gloves, Mimi's attractive looks entered the eyes of many.

Her brown hair placed neatly back and her green contacts with a light of violet, made women passing by hearts flutter.

Mimi had spread a layer of makeup on her face to produce a masculine appearance altering her young feminine features.

Entering a men's suit shop, Alec helps Mimi find a suit and other accessories.

He honestly didn't know what was sadder, the fact that never had he thought he'd be assisting his cross-dressing sister shop for men's attire.

Or that this wasn't the most unusual things he repeatedly did for the girl. Honestly, both were just as depressing to think about.

While the two were shopping they were kindly greeted by the female employees who once in a while would steal a glance at the godlike duo.

Suddenly, entering the men's boutique a young girl no older than sixteen walks in with two women close behind her.

The girl's long blond hair was out ending at the end of her back. From the expensive brands of clothes she wore, at first glance, people could tell that the girl was wealthy.

Her silver eyes held an arrogant feel to them as she scanned the store, the two young girls beside her standing behind her with prideful looks.

Noticing the three young girls walk in with arrogant expressions, Mimi glances up before looking back a set of jackets disregarding their existence.

A male employee instantly sees the high-class women walk in and walks over to assist them not wishing to keep such important people waiting.

"Welcome Ms. Yimo, how may I assist you today?" The employee says after noticing the young girl's identity.

Emilia Yimo, age sixteen the second and youngest of the Yimo household, owners of a million-dollar popular clothing company that spread worldwide very quickly.

Because of Emilia's family background, the young girl was often well-known to be spoilt and arrogant looking down on those with lowlier status than her.

Whatever she wanted she got it.

Smirking at the store clerk quickly rush to serve her, Emilia raises her head up higher. She enjoyed displaying her power off especially in front of her friends.

"Present me your best men's suits. And bring my friends and me some refreshments." Emilia waves her hand indicating for the clerk to do it quickly.

Sighing inwardly, the worker places a forced smile on his face.

Rushing towards the back to retrieve a fresh pair of suits, not forgetting to order another worker close by, to introduce refreshments for the young ladies.

Emilia and her group of friends begin to search around the store completely excluding the people currently searching for items.

"Do you think Landon would like this tie with his suit?" Emilia holds up a two-hundred-dollar silk tie with gold stripes imprinted on it.

"Absolutely! He'll definitely notice you when you give him that gift! The more expensive the better!" One of the girls squeals.

"Those colors would suit Landon so well! You undoubtedly do know what suits him best!"

Satisfied with the girl's answers, Emilia smirks. "Of course I would, I am, after all, his childhood friend!"

Alec holds back a scoff at the girl's words. She obviously was just rubbing her money in their faces.

However, observing a group of girls shop and hang out with one another Alec shoots a glance towards Mimi who was intently looking at a red tie.

Did Mimi ever hang out with girls her age? Had she ever thought of hanging out with friends?

Another depressing question popped into Alec's head.

Does she even have friends her age?

The girl never experienced the life a normal teenage girl should. Instead, she was forced to live and depend on herself never experiencing the youthful moments of a growing girl.

A sudden sympathetic feeling turns towards the girl in front of him, Alec stares at her with mournful eyes.

Sensing a gaze on her Mimi raises her head to stare at Alec's pitiful eyes.

What was her idiot brother thinking of to look at her that way?

Already knowing he was pitying her for an unknown reason Mimi's eyebrows twitch with annoyance.

Looking at her stare up at him, Alec missed the annoyed look on her face and instead imagined a sad lonely girl.

He vowed he'd make sure Mimi would get to experience the life of an average teenager!

If he didn't succeed that mission, he'd become a monk!

Shaking her head in frustration Mimi grabs a red tie from the wrack, but with quick movements, it was snatched from her hands.

Looking up to see one of Emilia's friends arrogantly walk away with the tie in her hand towards the blond-haired girl, Mimi frowns.

Alec took notice of the situation that had precisely occurred and immediately fumed with anger. How dare those brats steal his sister's tie!

Ready to march into a war of rage, Mimi's slender hand restricts him from approaching the girls. Confused by her sudden actions Alec was about to argue with her but stops immediately when he sees her expression.

A wide sadistic smile reaches up to the girl's eyes, it almost looked comical.

As if her eyes changed color, a shade of violet shades over her green contacts. For some reason seeing her expression brought an unknown fear in his heart.

Er...crap...she was furious.
