Chapter 7: Three Musketeers

At the police station, we were questioned. The asked stuff like, "Where were you?" or "How did you find them?". Charlie was too angry to answer any questions and Ava couldn't stop crying, so I had to be the one to explain where we were and answer their questions. We were there for 2 hours.

It was 11:00 at night. I just signed into a hotel. We were getting settled in. Charlie hadn't spoken at all since we left the police station. Ava had calmed down a little bit. We finally got settled in and me and Ava slept in the queen sized bed and Charlie slept in the other queen sized bed. It took Ava a while to fall asleep. At about 3 AM, Charlie woke up screaming. He said he had a nightmare, a nightmare where Ava and I were gone, and it was just him. I felt that way too. I was scared to let Charlie and Ava out of my sight, because I felt like if I did, they would leave too. It felt like I was losing everyone. My sister was gone, and now my parents were gone. I couldn't lose anyone else. I couldn't. They were all I had left, I can't lose them.
