Chapter 7: Back to the story

I woke up more energized than normal. After my daily morning routine, I couldn't go outside because it was raining. So I just stayed inside, doing things like watch TV, draw, paint, text Lilia. Normal things. At 4:56, I started texting Sadie. Sadie told me something I'd never forget. "I have a secret. I like girls." I can't explain how happy I was. This meant I actually had a shot. I told her to meet me in my room tomorrow at 5:00 for a talk and she agreed.

The next day comes and I'm super nervous. Next, I hear footsteps coming to my room. Sadie opens the door and walks in. She sits on the bed beside me. I turn to her, "So... You like girls? Only girls?" I asked Sadie. "yeah." Sadie said, blushing and terrified. I'm happy. We lock eyes and stare for what feels like an eternity. Then, I did something I never thought was possible. I kissed her, but not quickly. Her lips felt soft and smooth. She tasted like strawberries, probably from her chap stick that she put on every morning. We locked lips for about 5 seconds, then she pulled back. "Wait... I thought you liked guys?" Sadie seemed surprised. I chuckled, "I did but now I don't. I like you Sadie. I really do, more than friends. I think your beautiful and kind and smart. Your the person I want to be with, not some guy." I told her. I held her hand and gave her a small smirk. She looked at our hands and then back at me, giving a small smile too. We looked at each other again, but this time, Sadie kissed me. It lasted about 7 seconds before pulling away. I put my head on her head, and we sat there for awhile, just thinking.

Two hours later.. . Sadie left and my sister called me to her room. I walked in her room. I felt happy. She told me to sit down. I did, then, she asked me if I knew why I was here. I told her no and she stared at me. "So... I went to your room earlier to ask you a question but you seemed to be... Busy." She looked at me. "So you called me here to ask me it now?" I asked. "No. I saw you and Sadie... Kissing... On the lips." She continued to stare at me. My heart was thumping and beating 10x faster than normal. I couldn't breathe and my face was turning as red as a tomato. "I-i-i... Um I..." I couldn't stop stuttering. "Why didn't you say something?" Asked Paige. "I-i-i... I don't know. I guess I was just scared. I haven't always been this way. I've only been like this for a couple of months." I responded.
