9 DARK PARTY

   Mira's party had just began, students doing shots, others throwing darts, some cheering and most of them dancing, Mira is spotted in a long Black gown, her hair packed up with a tiara, she feels a bit tense and all she can think of is Derek, ''thought you said you invited him'' Natashas smirks, ''I did'' Mira looks around, ''then what's  taking him so long?''  Natasha rolls her eyes, ''I don't know, how about the boys?'' Mira asks, ''they are hanging around, great!'' Natasha shouts ''what's 'great!'?'' Mira asks, ''he's here'' Natasha says as they look at Derek walking in with Karen, ''why is she here? I can't remember inviting her, she'll make things difficult for us'' Mira looks frustrated, ''don't worry, I'll take care of her'' Natasha assures, Derek and Karen walks towards Mira presenting  a gift to her, ''happy birthday Mira, it's from the both of us'' Derek says gesturing to Karen, ''oh you guys, thanks a lot, I wasn't expecting this much, honestly"  Mira said taking the gift, ''you are welcome, it's your day remember so you should be expecting much and more'' Karen says as they all laugh ''the ball dance will start soon and my partner Chris says he can't make it, something came up and Natashas date josh is not yet here, I'll be embarrassed not to have a partner'' Mira says wearing a long face, ''you don't need to cry, I don't mind Derek being your date, I mean it's your birthday so just take it as another gift from us'' Karen says not knowing why she made such decision, ''really?'' Mira asks as her face lightens up, Karen nods while Derek fakes a smile, ''Thank you Karen, you are a life saver'' Mira says '' you're welcome, I'd be over there drinking tequila I guess'' Karen giggles as she shot a kiss on Dereks cheeks before leaving.

        The dance started, Karen was lucky to find a boy who was single to dance with but her eyes were on Derek, 'he feels too comfortable dancing with Mira' she thinks. While dancing with Mira, Derek asks ''is Natashas partner here?'' ''Why ask, are you...'' Mira paused but continues ''tired of dancing with me?'' ''No! not at all, I just can't see Natasha around you know. This party is huge, your parents must have spent a lot'' Derek says, Mira pretends to trip as Dereks quickly holds her ''are you alright?'' He asks, ''I think I sprayed my ankle'' she says trying to walk but couldn't, ''aww! It hurts, please can you take me up to my room?'' She asks ''sure! Just take it easy'' Derek says, he tries assisting her to take few steps but she cried on saying ''it really hurts, do you mind carrying me instead?'' 'Karen wouldn't feel comfortable' Derek thought, he carries her, gesturing to Karen that he'll be right back, she nods as she watches him make his way up the stairs, he lays Mira gently on the bed, he hears a sound in the bathroom, he asks ''is anyone else here?'' ''No'' Mira replies nervously then he hears the sound again, ''who's there?'' He asks, Mira giggles saying ''stop being ridiculous, no one is there'', ''No, you know what? Stay here let me go and make sure'' he says as he walks into the bathroom, he looks around and saw nothing, until someone grabbed his head from behind speaking an unknown language, Derek immediately fell on the floor.
