"We'll then hold these Carny soldiers hostage along with the citizens to force Xiao out. Though of course, she might already be dead."

Plant King led his army to intercept Deodomus' path. The latter didn't move away from the challenge. Another Kol army headed to the left of the palace and Ryuga moved to meet them for combat. A third army moved to the right led by Koldorus and Lyra marched ahead with her own army and the Valkyries. There were still more troops remaining on both sides. Kol's waiting to reinforce, while Gen's to safeguard the stronghold.

But while their numbers somewhat matched, Carny's side was considerably weak with only 3 Generals while Kol had 5. Ling, Kim, Solzar and Pyrus apparently had made full recovery thanks to Plant King's wood element's healing.

Deodomus signaled his army to halt and walked ahead alone. Plant King did the same along with Kim. The ground was where they drew their powers from. One a wood element, the other, earth.

"Preparing for battle." Deodomus revealed honestly.

"I shall wait to deliver the finishing blow until her defeat is certain."

"Xiao has the worst. I count on you then to save her soul."

Boom! A thick pillar shot out from the ground, targeting Deodomus who retreated timely. Plant King moved swiftly, running on the inclined pillar and leaping down with his sword. Deodomus parried the attack with his.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Swords clashed and ground trembled. Like a coward Kim retreated several feet away and manipulated the ground to target Deodomus but not caring if he struck Plant King by mistake.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Solid stone pikes erupted from the ground, attacking Deodomus who cleaved them swiftly and fought Plant King who kept taking advantage of his comrade's moves.

Bam! A pillar of stone struck Deodomus from below but he had anticipated it due to his keen ears and the sound-based observational technique. He used the pillar as a ramp instead, gaining about 30 meters height and hurled down spears from above.

"Death Spear! Sonic Rapture!"

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! 4 explosive bursts of energy and sound signified the propulsion and collision of the spears with their targets. Too fast to dodge.

"Ohok!" Kim coughed out blood as his ribcage was burst open from the right. Plant King had his body torn in halves from the stomach but vines grew from the ground, quickly bringing his halves together and he attached and healed within a few moments.

Plant King reached Kim and grabbed his mangled ribcage. His wood element energy flooded into Kim's body, healing it at an alarming rate. Kim glanced at him in astonishment.

"No time to die my friend. We fight on for our king." Plant King spoke.

"Huff… I can't understand your true nature!" Kim frowned and panted.

"Don't bother. Just keep your eyes peeled. Keep striking without regards to me. I'll get an opening to claim his head." Plant King said, moving towards Deodomus but maintaining a safe distance.

Up above, Pyrus smiled victoriously, watching Gen army scamper for their lives. Nearly half of them had been slain!

"Hahaha! Why don't you come and save them Ryuga?!" Pyrus shouted, looking at the fight behind him and paused. Solzar was down on his knees, bleeding profusely; his both arms severed, his flames burning brilliantly but in vain against Ryuga who stood before him.

"Shit!" Pyrus cussed.

"Ah, young men are such fools." Solzar smiled bitterly, spewing blood. "But I'm surprised that you aren't, heh. Not a bad opponent to die at the hands of."

Ryuga struck without a word.

"Ohok!" Lyra coughed out blood. Her seven orifices were bleeding. This was despite the defense of Demon Armor gu and Valkyrian body!

"What…power…ugh…" Ryuga muttered as he rolled left to right slowly, wincing in pain. His knuckles had utterly broken!

Quickly they used Healing gu worms & Chi gu worms, recovering and looking at their opponent.

"Hahaha…aahahaha!!!" Koldorus laughed aloud as he staggered up. He was bleeding as well. His bones had cracked here and and there, his left arm was limping down, dislodged from the shoulder. He did not swallow any healing pills.

"Shit, that fucker!" Lyra growled, sprinting towards Ryuga and taking a stance with him. They seemed anxious.

Crack! Crack! Koldorus snapped his neck muscles, grinning confidently. He could feel great strength pulsating in his body.

"Level 5 Sage realm for sure!" He thought.

Clack! He adjusted his shoulder back and took a stance.

"It's now or never!" Lyra exclaimed.

"Let's do this!" Ryuga shouted.

Swoosh! Koldorus sprinted towards them.

"Giant gu!!" Ryuga and Lyra immediately grew huge! Both of them had been buck naked since earlier as Ryuga's got ripped to shreds when he last transformed and Lyra had been stripped naked before she barely escaped rape. Everyone gawked at their giant naked bodies, glistening in the morning sunlight. Lyra's huge hips and giant melons and towering nipples made every man hard at once while Ryuga's huge dong made them feel pathetic!

"Herculean Spear!" Koldorus leapt at great speed, bashing his whole body against Lyra's.

Boom! The giant milf fell backwards. The troops scampered in terror but dozens of men still got squashed underneath her.

Swoosh! Ryuga swung his giant foot to kick Koldorus but he moved away swiftly, sprinting around and attacking from the back while Lyra scrambled up.

"Herculean Spear!" Koldorus shouted again, attacking Ryuga on the back.

Boom! Giant Ryuga fell upon giant Lyra and since they were both naked, this became a lewd scene! Most of the troops paused fighting and stared at the development of their leaders' fight.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Ryuga turned and ran, surprising everyone with his speed. He stood dozens of feet away from Lyra, scrutinizing the surroundings for Koldorus who had seemingly disappeared. Lyra got up too and took a stance. She realized that she & Ryuga must keep their distances as with their huge bodies they could not possibly help falling atop each other or obstructing each other's moves. Koldorus had already realized this and used it against them twice.

"There!" Ryuga's eyes flashed red at once as he spotted Koldorus who had been sprinting at breakneck speed. Ryuga ran after him. The advantage of Sprint gu was obvious but its flaw had already been revealed. It offered a boost in movement speed but not in attack speed. While every movement of Koldorus' was backed by superhuman strength rivalling Sage realm! He could move like a meteor and strike like a monster.

Swish-swish-swish! Koldorus left afterimages behind him while giant Ryuga chased after him, away from where Lyra was standing. Then suddenly Koldours turned around and propelled himself straight towards Lyra!

"Oh no… Lyra!" Ryuga got an ominous feeling. By the time he turned around, Koldorus had already reached the giant milf. She was prepared but too slow. Too slow!

"Herculean Spear!" Koldorus shot upwards, entering Lyra's vagina, piercing through her womb and started rampaging inside her! Everything inside was unprotected by the Demon Armor gu worms!

"AHHH!!" Lyra roared in pain, clutching her belly and clawing at her breasts.

"Use Healing gu! Now!" Ryuga shouted but there weren't enough healing gu worms to cover the continuous damage Koldorus was causing inside Lyra's body.

"No…" Ryuga walked towards Lyra and she to him, stumbling, staggering. She was done for. Ryuga reached for her, holding her body as she collapsed, groaning, grunting, spewing blood from her mouth.

"Hold on! Persevere! As long as you're alive after he comes out, I can heal you!" Ryuga shouted.

Lyra smiled and touched his cheek.

"Keep me with you forever." She whispered in pain. "Just like my mother. You know what to do right?"

Ryuga wept silently. Lyra wanted him to turn her into a fuckdoll. What agony would it bring him to see her everyday, reminding him that he failed to save her life.

"You're being cruel to me." Ryuga said emotionally.

"You know me… I'm ruthless." Lyra forced a smile. "Please…"

"Shut up…" Ryuga winced and kissed her until she breathed her last breath.

Puchi! Her chest was pierced from the inside as a bloodied Koldorus flew out, landing several feet away, covered in gore.

"Haha…hahahaha!!" He laughed evilly while Ryuga and Lyra's bodies retracted to their normal human sizes. Ryuga slipped a healing gu into Lyra's body, forcefully activating it to mend the internal ruptures, hoping he could miraculously bring her back to life.

"Hahaha! Come on now! Where's your fighting spirit from earlier?" Koldorus challenged Ryuga who didn't respond. He silently held Lyra's corpse. It was a very sad moment. Gen troops lost their morale while Kol troops erupted in cheers.

"All hail mighty King Koldorus!" They shouted.

"King Koldorus! King Koldorus! Giant Killer Koldorus!"

"Huff…huff…" Deodomus panted, leaning against his broken sword, bleeding profusely. His face was ashen white. Countless fallen trees and chopped up vegetation was strewn around him.

"She fought bravely." Plant King said, standing straight looking towards Lyra. He seemed unhurt, save for his clothes. Wood element energy brought natural healing power. It was impossible to keep Plant King injured for more than a few moments.

"Death is a mercy to warrior women like her. Better than falling into our king's clutches alive." Plant King spoke lightly.

"You speak too much nonsense huff…" Deodomus staggered up and swallowed yang pills. "I suppose I can't hold back any longer."

"The moment you join the fight against him, he'll unleash the flying ship." Plant King warned.

"I deduced that long ago." Deodomus gnashed his teeth. "I'm the only one capable of bringing down that ship with certainty. Thus he'll get rid of me first before unleashing the ship."

"Go..." Plant King said giving way. "You must fight him, right?"

"Of course. I must. For my brother…" He walked towards Koldorus's direction and Plant King let him.

Crackle! Lightning flashed and Deodomus disappeared from sight, appearing behind Koldorus the next moment. A greatsword flashed in his hand.

"Troll Crush!" He swung strongly; his muscular arms taut; lightning crackled along his arms and onto the greatsword.

It connected.

Slash! Froosh! Blood splattered in a fountain as Koldorus was cut deeply from his shoulder to the waist on his backside. He stepped forth, turned on his heel and struck a hundred times, all within a moment!

"Herculean Gatling!"

Clang! Clang! Clang! Bam! Bam! Bam! Dozens of punches landed on the greatsword, bending its thick metal while the rest all landed on Deodomus' chest and face, blowing him several feet away, rendering him bloodied and concussed.

Bam! He fell to the ground and skidded to a few meters. Koldorus appeared above him, casting a menacing shadow.

Sprint gu! Ryuga's red hair created a momentary streak as he took his friend away. A thunderous noise erupted behind him as Koldorus' punch hit the ground, creating a crater.

"Deo! Deo!" Ryuga shook him strongly as he stopped dozens of feet away from Koldorus. Quickly he jabbed a healing gu into one of the mangled wounds on his chest through the broken armor.

Swoosh! Koldorus appeared before them and struck air as Ryuga moved away again, carrying Deodomus. He could not match Koldorus in strength but he could run faster.

Koldorus appeared at his heel, getting faster as he expended more and more energy into sprinting. Ryuga used Chi gu to replenish his energy while running for his life, carrying Deodomus.

Deodomus shook awake within half a minute. His injuries all healed.

"We have to stick together, you cannot outrun him even with your Lightning Cat." Ryuga shouted as he ran madly, Koldorus right behind them.

"Herculean Punch!" Boom! A shockwave barely missed the two as Ryuga changed direction swiftly.

"I'm getting on your back. I have a plan!" Deodomus said to Ryuga.

Swoosh-swoosh-swoosh! They ran, their enemy at the heels. A scythe appeared in Koldorus' hands. A weapon of great reach and power.

"Crimson Streak!" Koldorus swung the scythe, shooting a crimson colored curved energy blade at the duo.

Puchi! It slashed Deodomus' back, making his blood spurt out. The mercenary gnashed his teeth and kept steady, clinging to his friend's back. Memories flashed in his mind briefly. Ryuga suddenly reminded him of Anek.

"Now!" Deodomus shouted.

Sprint gu! Ryuga's speed increased. Sprint gu worms were dying in his body one after another as he pushed them beyond limits. His speed doubled, tripled and the distance between them and Koldorus increased.

Swoosh! He swerved dangerously and faced Koldorus before running straight towards him!

"Sprint gu!" "Lightning Cat!"

Crackle! Chir-chir-chir! Blue lightning crackled around the duo and their speed increased one more fold.

"Lighting Death Spear!!" Deodomus hurled a spear at Koldorus at lightning speed.

Fast.

Too fast!

Boom! Boom! Boom! Three successive sonic booms echoed. The first when the spear was propelled, the second when it struck Koldorus in the stomach and blew his guts away, tearing his body into two; and the third boom when the spear went further back, striking the troops in the distance and blowing up a dozen of them, leaving a crater and a mangled mess of corpses.

Skrr…t! Ryuga's heels skidded on the ground for long before he could stop. Deodomus got off him and they caught their breaths.

Ryuga's sprint gu worms had almost run out. He barely had 6 of them left. Deodomus' lightning element traits were nearly exhausted. He had 10% of the original left. Barely enough for a single move that he needed to save for the flying ship.

Deodomus summoned healing pills and yang pills, swallowing them hastily. Then he summoned two spears, preparing for the finale.

"My King!" Plant King appeared beside Koldorus and Deodomus' heart sank.

"That bastard…!" He snarled, knowing that Koldorus will be good as new within moments!

"Get him! Koldorus must die now!" He barked at Ryuga and the two of them moved at great speed; too slow compared to before, but plenty fast for a Master realm warrior.

"Nature's Fury!" Plant King shouted, shoving his hands into the ground, releasing large amounts of his wood element traits.

Plants, vines, trees of all shapes and sizes, with poisonous thorns, clawlike branches, root feet and mysterious powers arose from the ground, turning the battlefield into a forest within a few moments!

Too slow.

Ryuga already reached Plant King and struck.

"Ripper Claw!" He slashed his face, leaving four scars from forehead to the chin diagonally, destroying an eye.

"Troll Crush!" Deodomus appeared above Koldorus, hacking down with a greatsword. Weapon chosen to split the enemy in halves. Koldorus' strength would be useless if he were to be hacked in two again.

A dart appeared in Koldorus's hand and he flicked it toward Deodomus.

"Crimson Dot!"

Boom! It struck with a mighty force, blowing a large hole in Deodomus' chest near the shoulder; the impact pushed him several feet high from where he fell like a dead bird.

Swoosh! Ryuga swept him away before he could hit the ground.

"My King, I'll heal you immediately!" Plant King said; his face already healed of the scars; his eye good as new, but his face paled, watching the pool of blood underneath Koldorus. He was dying!

"Give me…a minute…" Koldorus murmured faintly. Plant King hesitated but relented, rushing to bring Koldorus' lower body. His entrails & blood were splattered everywhere.

Meanwhile Deodomus hung on to life. His chest was healing but his Healing gu had been pushed to the limit.

"His strength is definitely at the peak levels of Sage realm. He doesn't even need techniques anymore!" Ryuga grumbled as he and Deodomus stared at him from a distance. Koldorus stared back coldly. "As he draws nearer to death, His strength will continue to rise. What if his strength reaches Emperor realm?" Ryuga continued.

"Even if he reaches God realm, I'll still fight him to death!" Deodomus snarled, getting up to his feet.

Boom! Boom! Two darts reached them before they could run. Finally, Koldorus had got an upper hand over their movement speeds!

Ryuga and Deodomus were flown away from the impact, spewing blood, and nursing the wide holes in their bodies. Healing gu worms at the brink of death as they repaired and barely regenerated their hosts' damaged organs. 

"Too…strong…" Ryuga clenched his teeth. "Run, Deo. I'll…block him."

"Fuck off… This is..ohok!" Deodomus coughed blood. "My vendetta. I'll settle it. You run…you've done enough! Don't die on me."

"Like hell I'm letting you die on ME!" Ryuga snarled.

Boom! Boom! Two more darts struck before they could do anything.

Darkness cleared slowly as Deodomus opened his eyes. He knew he was done for. The Healing gu was dead, not that he knew of it. But no healing pill could fix his body now that he had a football sized hole in his stomach.

Ryuga rolled in the dirt, trembling as he sat up, vomiting blood. His gu worms working frantically to heal him. He pulled out one from his neck to give to Deodomus and crawled toward him slowly.

"Hang on…Deo…" He called out.

Boom! A dart blew his head off his neck. No healing from that.

"No…no-no…!" Deodomus cried, clawing the bloodied ground underneath him. Another loss. Another precious person. Anek, Hailey, now Ryuga.

"NOOOO!!!!" Deodomus' scream echoed through the battlefield. The Gen troops dropped their weapons. Their last General had perished. There were merely a few hundred soldiers alive now. Carny Lord was breathing his last breaths. Kol kingdom had won, although at a great cost, as all but one General of their remained standing. Their own king was bleeding towards death with half his body.

"Too weak…still too weak..!" Deodomus gripped his hair, almost yanking them off as he rebuked himself. "Why am I not strong enough? Why can't I have my revenge!? Ahh…! AHHHH!!!!" His angry screams echoed all around, commanding grave silence upon every watching soul.

Skrch…skrch… Gravel crunched underneath a pair of boots as a jade-white armored woman walked towards Deodomus solemnly. Her beautiful face loomed above his as she squatted down, looking at him tenderly.

"I thought I could let him die." Xiao thought as she caressed his cheek.

"Xiao…is that…you?" Deodomus uttered, losing his voice along the sentence. His gaze blurry with tears and darkness.

"I still can't. Not him..." Xiao wiped her own tears. "It is not him my heart wants revenge upon."

"Run…Xiao. Live…" Deodomus uttered. "Anek told me not to chase after…revenge. I didn't…understand him. Until now." A bitter smile rolled on his lips as he lifted his trembling hand, touching Xiao's lovely face. "Live. Xiao. Live for me; for all of us."

"You too…" Xiao smiled miserably. "You're going to live Deo…We'll embark on adventures together. We'll have so much fun as we've always had."

Xiao slid a healing pill in Deodomus' mouth. It could not regenerate his organs but it could sustain his life for a while.

"Rest now. Leave everything to me." Xiao whispered in her lovely voice. "I'll exact revenge upon Koldorus. For you, for me, for Hailey, Ryuga, Lyra and everyone else. Rest… When you wake up, I'll sing you a song and we'll watch the sunset with our son."

Deodomus drifted into unconsciousness & his body got warped into Xiao's spatial ring before she walked up to Ryuga's headless corpse, warping it too. Then she walked towards Lyra, whose corpse was lying in the dirt elsewhere. As he walked calmly and carefreely, everyone gaped. The most beautiful woman. The strongest woman. Not giving a damn to anything. Collecting her fallen friends solemnly.

"Do not be obstinate, Koldorus." Plant King muttered as he attached his lower body to his upper while infusing his wood element traits without holding anything back. Koldorus healed miraculously and speedily! His organs regenerated. Subsequently, he lost his strength, coming down from the peak of Sage realm to the initial levels. He pushed Plant King away before he could heal him entirely.

"Finally, Xiao… Finally!" Koldorus called out but Xiao ignored him completely. She stowed Lyra's corpse into her spatial ring and sighed, looking over to the remaining troops. Barely a platoon now.

"Thank you, friends from Gen state!" Xiao shouted and bowed deeply, cupping her hands. In the silence of the battlefield, her voice was heard by everyone. All eyes trained on her.

"Humanity is not yet doomed, I've realized, for there still exists honor among us cultivators." Xiao continued. "You came from Gen state to fight a losing war. You trusted your Generals, knowing full well they are not fighting for rewards and none of you shall get any either. Friendship…comradery, is such a thing that can demand everything from us and we'd give even more, smilingly. Only us warriors who have fought shoulder to shoulder, who have shared injuries, survived bloodbaths; us who have sinned and endured suffering, who have watched our friends perish and defended others with our lives; only we can fully understand the meaning of comradery & friendship."

Xiao's words resounded in every heart. Friends and foes alike. Wasn't everyone a warrior? Hadn't they all gone through similar experiences throughout their lives? Wars, losses, tragedies; these were part of every cultivator's lives. They thus ran rampant pleasing their animal instincts in the times of peace for their lives could be forfeited in battle any moment. They were miserable but brave. They would all fight to death willingly!

"We have all endured great losses today… Friends from Gen, foes from Kol…" Xiao addressed everyone. "This is enough. This much is enough. Let us not spill any more blood. Retreat now. Take your fallen comrades, clean their corpses, prepare to bury them. They deserve the final rites befitting warriors. Retreat and rest. Nurse your wounds and watch. Watch the final stand of Carny's Mistress."

Xiao turned around and stared at Koldorus, still shouting as she said. "Let the rulers fight it out. No one else has to die anymore for a man's lust and for a woman's revenge."

"…" The ground rumbled softly as thousands of footsteps echoed. Kol troops moved, without Koldorus' permission. Xiao had commanded them better than Koldorus ever could. They deserved respite from this meaningless war. They had suffered enough. Gen troops had already lost. The few remaining Valkyries sobbed silently at the loss of their leader Lyra. They would still have fought to death for Xiao if she asked them to, but they knew well that the war had ended.

"Give me an energy boost, Plant King." Koldorus spoke, his yang pills seemingly finished.

"I'm afraid I'm spent." Plant King lied. "But you aren't scared of her prowess now, are you?" Plant King taunted. "Didn't you claim that Xiao belongs to you? Well, there she stands. Go take her."

"Hmph!" Koldorus grunted angrily. He'd need to discipline this General later but for now, he must take his prize by force. The woman he desperately craved was standing before him. What else mattered?

Winds blew and a man stared down from the palace's roof. He was Laclkrine, holding Young Master wind in his arms. The recent memories flashed in his mind.

"Take my son with you." Xiao had said to him. "And return him to me should I win the war."

"Why me? Entrust him to a party of your loyal soldiers and maids." Laclkrine said.

"You're the only good man I see around me." Xiao smiled. There's one more," she looked over her shoulder towards the battlefield where Plant King was fighting Deodomus. "but he's an enemy."

"I work for money, Mistress Xiao. Goodness is merely an ornament I casually wear." Laclkrine said.

"I'll give you all the gold that I have." Xiao said, producing a spatial ring she had filled already with all her wealth and Carny's treasury. It was a lot of money!

"I'd rather have your mother instead." Laclkrine demanded.

"…" Xiao pursed her lips. Her emotions in turmoil. Her dead mother's honor or her son's life and future. It didn't take her long to decide. She knew in her heart that Yuxian would forgive her transgressions.

"She is yours then." Xiao said hollowly.

"Many thanks!" Laclkrine had lifted his hat and bowed. "I bid you luck for the battle."

Xiao had hummed and held up her son to look at him last time. She pressed her forehead against his, exhaling a warm sigh.

"I wish I could give you everything in the world, Wind." She murmured. "But great people must face great struggles. That's the secret behind their rise. Be kind like your mother. But if you can't, then be cunning like your father and never fall short of your aims."

A gust of wind swirled around Xiao. Her clothes fluttered about, and as she kissed her son goodbye, the wind slowly vanished.

Laclkrine pinched his eyes. For a moment he had thought the wind had originated from Xiao's body and seeped into her son's! 

His strange thoughts were shaken away as Xiao handed him the heir of Carny.

Now Laclkrine stood atop the palace, holding the young master in his arms. His prize Yuxian was already secured in his spatial ring. He was all set to go. In the distance he saw the retreating Gen troops. They'd return to their state. A few of them must have stuck around as spies or waiting to take their Generals' corpses which were currently safe in Xiao's possession.

He turned to look at Xiao again. Soon he'd leave but not before watching her fight against her foe. Laclkrine would need to tell the young lad one day how his mother fought her last battle.

Xiao and Koldorus walked towards each other. Xiao summoned her trusty weapon- a long sword while Koldorus summoned a large battle-axe.

Plant King watched from the sides at a distance. So did a few others, lingering here and there. Kol troops whipped up dust clouds in the distance. They would camp outside the city walls.

For the greatest of the fights, there were hardly any audience left, but that didn't lessen the importance of it.

Xiao and Koldorus' walk accelerated into a sprint before they vanished, meeting immediately in a clash.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Weapons clashed a hundred times within moments.

Swish! Xiao leapt to the side and swung her sword.

"Cleaving the Mountain!" A sharp yin arc slashed at Koldorus.

"Crimson Streak!" Koldorus swung his scythe, shooting one of his own outwards, canceling Xiao's move and then pushed on.

"Crimson Carnage!"

Swish-swish-swish-swish-swish! For a moment, crimson energy slashes engulfed Xiao entirely.

Swoosh! She broke out, not without damage. Her jade white armor had numerous deep cuts on it.

Koldorus chased, swinging his scythe. Xiao turned on her heel, suddenly slashing her sword upwards.

"Cutting Down the Riverstream!"

"Crimson Streak!"

"Sword Lotus!"

"Crimson Cleave!"

The two of them exchanged many trump card moves and their energies clashed with each other before the weapons did, and for a whole minute they fought again, speedily without moves, just testing each other's prowess and weapon mastery.

Xiao leapt backwards, leaving her chipped long sword and summoning a spear instead.

"Death Spear!"

Boom! Boom! Two explosive sounds thundered. Propulsion and collision. Koldorus had dodged in time. His experience with his fight against Deodomus and his great muscularity which resulted in rapid movement speed, allowed him to dodge the spears flying at sonic speed.

Koldorus also had keen foresight. He could tell that obviously Xiao is going to hurl the spear like her husband did countless times and he knew what the target was and the steps taken before the hurl were easy to distinguish.

Xiao's face darkened. She understood at once that Death Spear was now useless against Koldorus unless she got him off guard. She still threw many spears at him while moving backwards, gaining distance. And when she stopped, a new long sword appeared in her hands. She pointed it straight towards Koldorus and sprinted at her fastest speed.

"Sparrow Step, Blazing Yin Stab!"

Fwoosh! Swoosh! Flames erupted on the sword tip while the blade turned red. Winds whistled past Xiao's ears as she reached the enemy who had been willing to take her move head on.

Clapp! Koldorus clapped his palms together, grabbing the blazing sword between them and getting pushed back from Xiao's momentum.

Skkrrrrrr…tt! Two thin canals were created on the ground as Koldorus' boots dug and skidded on it backwards.

When they stopped, Xiao panted. Koldorus was unhurt. One of Xiao's best trump card moves had failed!

"Hahaha you're too weak, woman, just like your useless husband and your pathetic daughter." Koldorus chuckled. "That girl was so soft I tore her body apart with ease when I was fucking her corpse."

The taunt worked, if that's what Koldorus was aiming at, because the next moment, Xiao's energy exploded outwards intensely!

"AHHHHH!!!" Xiao roared enraged, her cultivation base arose rapidly too!

"This is…" Koldorus gaped. He had seen this technique. He knew what was coming!

"Sparrow God's Divine Judgment!" Xiao roared as two large & illusory sparrow wings manifested behind her back and spread open. Her cultivation rose up to level 3, 4…7…9… then level 1 Sage realm!"

"Blazing Yin Stab!"

Boom! Skrrrt…!! The scene from earlier reenacted as Koldorus was pushed back speedily; his feet now ankle deep in the ground, unable to stop the momentum. The red hot sword slipped past his palms and pierced into his chest. He could feel it burning his flesh, muscles, cutting through bones, piercing the lungs and then the unexpected move blew his mind and burst his chest.

"Death Sword!" Boom!! The sword was hurled forth at sonic speed, destroying Koldorus' chest and blowing him dozens of feet away. Xiao herself was flung backwards from the sonic impact; her breastplate of the armor utterly destroyed along with the clothing underneath. Her large breasts jiggled as she flew backwards, about to fall but regaining her balance she landed steadily and panted, watching her enemy hit the ground.

Blood pooled underneath Koldorus' body. He had managed merely to move the sword inches away from his center before Xiao blew a hole in his chest. His right lung was utterly destroyed and he could see his vision darkening.

Quickly he summoned a healing pill, clotting the blood and sustaining his life. Then he felt the sudden spike in strength he had gained with the injury.

Now was the time to reveal all trump cards and finish the fight. With Xiao already rivalling Sage realm and Koldorus' deathly injury, he could lose his life if he didn't get his chest healed properly. He didn't know that Xiao too was racing against time.

"I can only maintain this technique for 3 minutes." Xiao grimaced inwardly. She hadn't had enough time to master the technique like Fang. She had spent too much time dual cultivating, stocking up yin chi, training with Lyra, then cultivating to break through to Master realm. What little time she had, she learned the activation of the 'Sparrow God's Divine Judgment' technique; the one innovated by Fang; an enhancement of the Sword Sparrow technique.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Both of them leapt forth. A new longsword emerged in Xiao's hand while two gauntlet claws appeared on Koldorus' hands. His best choice of weapon as he intended to use his Herculean technique but couldn't risk getting his hands chopped off by Xiao.

Boom! The two of them met with a collision.

"Herculean Gatling!" "Sword Sparrow!"

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Whish-whish-whish! Metallic sounds of gauntlets striking with sword, the whipping of the air, the splashing of their energies created a majestic scene. Shockwaves rippled out and a crater gradually began to form underneath them.

"Crimson Carnage! Herculean Smash! Herculean Gatling!"

"Sword Lotus! Sword Mirror! Cleaving the Mountain!"

Moves were exchanged furiously. Neither of the two was giving up. Xiao's armor broke down completely, Koldorus' body was riddled with deep cuts and stab wounds. But as both their injuries increased, Xiao fell weaker and Koldorus grew stronger.

Xiao's heart sank as she felt Koldorus gaining advantage. His punches were hitting stronger and faster.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Clang! Clang! Crack! Xiao's sword broke and before she could replace it or pull back, a dozen punches landed on her upper body, blowing her several feet away.

Bam! Bam! Skkrrt…! Xiao toppled and skidded as she fell before halting in the dirt.

"Ohok! Uwakk!" She coughed and vomited blood out, shakily getting up. Her clothing a mess, her breasts beaten blue and bleeding. Her jaw unhinged.

"It ends now, Xiao! Hahaha!" Koldorus laughed."

From above the palace, Laclkrine sighed and turned before walking away. "Time to go boy. I will take care of you." He said to Wind who blinked innocently, unaware of what was going on around him.

Xiao crunched healing & yang pills, unwilling to give up.

"I'm still not done!" She shouted as Koldorus sauntered over.

"Hahaha! Oh yes you are!" He waved his arm; a token flashed in his grasp before it broke.

WHOOOOMMMM… A loud humming sound bore down on everyone as a large floating ship appeared in the sky. Its hull, dark red.

"Ah…" Xiao grimaced.

Chyooom!!! A massive pillar of blood colored energy shot down from the ship, blowing a deep and wide hole in the ground. It moved towards the palace, destroying everything in its path and creating a hellish crevice in its wake.

"Your son is still in the palace, isn't he? Along with your loyal surviving subjects?" Koldorus sneered, audible to Xiao despite the thunderous sound of the blood pillar.

"NOOOO!!!!" Xiao screamed, unsure whether Laclkrine had taken Wind out gotten and away from the palace yet.

"You bastard! You monster!" Xiao shouted hysterically. Spit flying from her mouth as she screamed, clutching over her heart. The sparrow wings dimmed and flickered, alarming her successfully as her eyes widened in response.

She had merely a few seconds left!

"Sparrow God's Divine Judgment!" She roared, lunging at Koldorus.

"Herculean Dash!" Koldorus sprinted towards her too, unafraid.

"Death Spear!" Boom! "Death Spear! Death Spear! Death Spear!"

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Spears kept charging at Koldorus. He dodged some, while some blew holes in his body, increasing his strength tremendously!

"Blazing Yin Stab!" Xiao hurled the last spear at Koldorus who grabbed it with comparative ease but the impact pushed him backwards still. Just then the sparrow wings disappeared and Xiao's cultivation took a great plunge.

The spear was flung away and a fist burst through her stomach, dealing a deathly blow.

"I win." Koldorus snarled. Xiao's nails suddenly grew long and she started clawing at Koldorus' face and chest, causing deep cuts like knives would.

"Noo!!!" Xiao screamed in agony while the palace was destroyed in the distance. She could see the thick red pillar cutting through everything, perhaps even through her son.

"Hahahah…!" A mad man laughed somewhere in the palace, looking at the red pillar while clutching a crushed token in his hands. He was Mingli, the strategy master.

"I am doing it..! I am doing it Lord Deodomus! Ahahahaha!!!" He laughed. The world flashed in a bright white light; a massive beam of energy erupted from the ground, atomizing the palace and the floating ship above it. The shockwave blew everyone away. Everyone ran for their lives as the white beam of energy widened dangerously; engulfing the battlefield.

This was the epitome of the power of strategy formations. Mingli had connected all the strategies installed in the palace and underneath, Deodomus had pooled all the energy-giving resources he could and given him to boost this massive strategy of self destruction. It was meant to wipe out Kol army in an event of defeat. Deodomus had counted on himself to destroy the floating ship before that. But everything had gone off course. Deodomus was unconscious, Kol army was at safe distance, but at least the floating ship had been destroyed. The unfortunate sacrifice of everyone in the palace turned out to be worth it

"Goodness…" Laclkrine whispered, watching the white pillar from a safe distance in the jungle.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Puchi! Puchi! Xiao and Koldorus were still fighting although pathetically. Xiao's face was unrecognizable, having been punched badly. There were gaping holes in her belly and chest. Koldorus' throat had been slit and his eyeballs were hanging out. The massive white pillar of energy was inches away from them. They could feel the death breathing down their neck. Xiao was willing to take Koldorus to hell with her.

Just then a shadow emerged from the ground. A large elongating tree grabbed them both and pulled them away from the swelling energy pillar. Another tree grew rapidly, grabbing them as the previous tree was atomized. Then another and another.

Whoosh…! Winds blew strongly before suddenly dying down. The white pillar of energy had vanished, leaving a massive crater on the ground. The capital city of Carny had been atomized.

Xiao awoke groggily. She was in pain, a lot of pain. Her energy, completely spent.

"I threw your spatial ring in the crater. I'm sure you'll be able to find it after some search." Plant King said from a distance as he healed the unconscious Kodorus.

Xiao stood up, wincing. The holes in her stomach had healed only enough to keep her alive.

"It's over Xiao." Plant King announced. "It was a stalemate. Neither of you won. I'm taking our King away. Kol army shall retreat. I hope we never meet again."

"Leave him. I am going to kill him!" Xiao spat angrily, walking towards them with shaky legs.

"Don't be like that…" Plant King said emotionally. "You see, I'm still an elder of the Kol kingdom. I'll be forced to fight you if you target my King."

"Fuck you and your king! Fuck your kingdom!" Xiao shouted. "My children are dead! My friends are dead! My people! My soldiers! Everyone! DEAD!!!" She shivered from rage and weakness. Her eyes, bloodshot.

"I am so sorry." Plant King uttered.

"He. Must. Pay." Xiao pointed a shaky finger at Koldorus.

"You hear that?" Plant King spoke. "Our troops are coming. Give up. You're still alive. So is your husband. Your state still stands, your people still exist beyond the capital. You must tend to them; heal the nation, recover your strength." Plant King advised.

At this point, the rumbling of the footsteps increased. Xiao found herself surrounded with thousands of soldiers; all in their prime condition. In front of her was Plant King, a formidable opponent. Her spatial ring was lost & she could not replenish her energy at all.

She heaved a deep breath. Her breasts rose up and down. That's when she noticed that she was fully dressed; courtesy of Plant King. And she was still standing because he healed her first. Now he offered an olive branch. The least she could do was give him face. Her gaze landed on Koldorus. His eyes still dangling out. He was unconscious and riddled with fresh scars. Pathetically lying in the dirt.

Xiao could not fully exact her revenge, but she had done enough. She had defeated him. She'd have to make-do with it. Time would come to battle again, if Koldorus returns for her. And Xiao would be ready to kill him then.

Generals & Commanders gathered around Koldorus. They all looked ashen. Their gazes moved from the badly beaten & unconscious Koldorus to the still standing Xiao.

"We have lost the war." Plant King announced, audible to everyone. "We're leaving."

"Bullshit! She's the only enemy remaining. & she's just a woman! I can roast her alive!" Pyrus snarled.

"I will have killed you before that." Plant King growled. "And everyone else who aids you. Do you think I cannot wipe out Kol army single-handedly?"

"You boast, traitor!" Pyrus spat.

"Look whose life I'm sustaining at the moment." Plant King said, holding on to Koldorus, giving him his wood element traits and healing him. "You still dare call me a traitor?"

"Hmph!"

"Have some shame. Or is this all that Kol warriors are capable of? Waging war for a single woman, killing their own comrades, massacring civilians, then losing the war and still daring to ambush the winner?" Plant King's voice reverberated in the whole area. The troops felt shame, anger and bitterness. They retreated without commands.

"Where are you going! Stand your ground!" Pyrus roared angrily. Nobody stopped.

"Give it up kid." Solzar muttered as he leaned against a crutch. "Time will come again for battle. For now we retreat and heal our king."

"Hmph!" Pyrus walked away too.

Plant King carried Koldorus and walked away. He looked over his shoulder at Xiao who was seething in the distance like a wounded lioness. Her pain, anger and indignation evident on her face. She had won but there was nobody left to celebrate. Great injustice had been done to her but she still stood on her two feet, prepared for anything more that the world might hurl at her.

Plant King bowed his head softly and then walked away.

Winds blew softly across the ruined land. From above next to the massive crater, Xiao's lone silhouette stood strong.
