14 Surprise? Shock?

Sun Bingwen saw Shao Rong smiling many times. When she was in the character of Rong Rong, her smile never faded. But he knew that it was all an act.

When she was in her original self, she would smile which was a polite one. Who in high society doesn't fake a smile at their enemies? Sun Bingwen is too similar to such smiles. Hence those polite smiles were never real. They were just for formality. A simple gesture to maintain their image.

But the smile he just saw on her lips is different. It is not a happy smile with usual brightness nor was it a polite smile with its fakeness. It is different.

It is a smile an Emperor bestows their subjects when he is satisfied. For some unknown reason he felt burdened by the smile.

An appreciation from someone makes us happy but if the person who appreciates us is of too high value, we would instead feel burdened to stand on that level to shoulder it. Because it is not an appreciation, instead it is a responsibility. Once you couldn't stand on the level that was expected from you, you would be overwhelmed. That is the level of burden that comes along with an appreciation.

And that is the level of scare he received from a single smile of Shao Rong which he couldn't quite understand himself. Why did he feel overwhelmed?

He just gave a reluctant smile back to Shao Rong and continued eating. He just tried to escape something and he didn't know what it was.

After completing their lunch, everyone returned back to the filming location.

Once they went inside, they found a new silhouette standing in the middle of a crowd. He stood there strong and tall and one among the crowd. No one can mix him into the crowd. That is how distinct his temperament is among everyone.

Everyone around him is a head smaller than him. But he doesn't look like a giant. A well defined figure just stood there under all the admiring gazes.

Shao Rong Just looked that way to find the man turning his head towards their direction.

Once Shao Rong saw the face of the man, her eyes widened like saucers and her smile brightened like a day with surprise. She is really surprised to find this man here.

She raised her hand and was about to shout "H.." 'Honey' she did not complete her word.

She froze on her spot. Her raised hand remained there in mid-air. Her bright smile awkwardly suspended on her lips.

'He is not my Honey.'

'Not anymore.'

Her bright eyes turned cold in an instant. She withdrew her raised hand and the smile was removed like it was never there before.

That is when everything started gathering into her brain. He was the main male lead here. That is the reason she found his name familiar.

She called him 'Honey' for many years that she actually forgot his real name and her brain turned muddled. Otherwise why didn't she remember his name as soon as she heard it?

But why did he turn into an actor? For his status, isn't this career too cheap? She thought sarcastically and smiled at herself.

She would never have thought that she would meet her ex-boyfriend in a filming shoot while on a mission. For a prideful man like him to shoot movies and being an actor, never in her life had she imagined that.

When was the last time she saw him? It was in their high school.

How many years had it been? How could she remember? That's been many years but she felt that a few decades flew by.

Did she think that she would meet him in her life again?

Never.

But fate has its own answers.

She raised her hand to remove a stray hair from her face. When she touched them, she realised that they were curly, which should have been straight.

She immediately came back to her senses and turned her neck to grasp her surroundings.

Yes. She is in a filming location for her 'mission'. Which means she is in her disguise. Which means he would not recognise her.

Hence she is not the Shao Rong that he knew but Rong Rong who is a mere assistant who would not have many chances to talk to the Film Emperor like himself.

So, it would be better to continue pretending not to know him and avoid him as much as possible and complete her mission and simply pack up to leave.

He would never realize that a Shao Rong came back to his life and even left.

That would be the perfect plan.

Once the plan was settled, a bright smile appeared back on her face.
