37 Scent..

In his embrace, Shao Rong could smell his scent clearly. The scent that she was very familiar with, a decade ago. A scent she always missed. A scent she loved the most because it belonged to the man she once loved the most.

But now, it belongs to a stranger. A classmate. An acquaintance, at most. She had no right to hold him or take a whiff of this scent.

The scent that merged itself with a strong smell of alcohol reminded her that they both were drunk and for a moment she can take 'advantage' of the situation.

So she took the 'advantage' and held him tighter and took a longer breath to inhale his scent as much as she could.

A bright smile latched itself to her face and thus she closed her eyes landing her head on his chest to sleep.

Looking at her sleeping figure on his chest, an inconspicuous smile danced on his lips silently. He then heard her murmuring a few unrecognizable words.

He slowly patted her head to let her sleep peacefully and changed the position of her head on his chest so that her head wouldn't be sprained later. After he changed it into a more comfortable position, he continued caressing the top of her head as his fine fingers moved through her silky hair.

While caressing, he slowly laid his head on top of hers and closed his eyes taking in the moment that came to him after a decade.

In the dark night, with the bright lights that shined from the club that stood behind, a man and a woman embracing each other closing their eyes with a smile on both their faces, the view was a beautiful and a romantic one.

This view is the one that came into the sight of the just then arrived duo of Sun Bingwen and Ren Weimin's secretary. Looking at it, they did not have the heart to disturb the portrait but they couldn't just leave them that way for the entire night. So, they did not understand what they should be doing and looked at each other and sighed.

Without disturbing the beautiful scenery, they stayed in their cars for a few minutes to let the couple stay for a while.

After a few minutes, they once again looked at each other and nodded their heads in tacit understanding and got down their cars and went towards the embracing pair.

"Boss."

"Miss Shao."

They both called for them in unison which was replied with their silence. They slowly went forward and grabbed their respective responsibilities and separated the pair and slowly dragged them towards their respective cars.

Once their bosses were seated in the back seats, they once again looked at each other and nodded their heads to say a goodbye and went to their driving seats and started their own cars to leave the venue and drove in opposite directions stating the end of their lovely time.

As the silent car was driving through the bustling road in the night, the drunken woman in the back seat sat straight and looked at the driving Sun Bingwen, "Does he know that we are not partners?"

The peacefully driving Sun Bingwen was shocked by the sudden voice that came from behind him and made a sudden brake to the side of the road.

He then calmed his nerves and looked at the clearly very much sober Shao Ron and widened his eyes, "Sis Rong, were you not drunk?"

Shao Rong twitched her lips in disgust, "Who could get drunk with that little alcohol? Kid, looks like you are underestimating me."

Being on the receiving end of her disgust and being called a kid by her, Sun Bingwen blushed in shame and lowered his head.

Then he remembered her question and raised his head to answer her as he knew that the so-called 'He' she just spoke of was none other than Ren Weimin, "Yeah. He also knows that you stay with me. He told me to take care of you and call him if there are any problems. He also told me not to tell you about our conversation."

He never intended to hide anything from her. The moment he became her assistant, he turned loyal to her. Even if Weimin means no harm towards her, he would not hide anything from Shao Rong due to the words of Ren Weimin.

At this moment, he is Shao Rong's person and he would stay that way.

As he spoke he already started the car and drove on the road.

Hearing his words, Shao Rong nodded her head, "Hmm. He was as smart as always."

But her words confused Sun Bingwen. "Sis Rong, if you knew that he would know, why did you lie to him in the first place?"

She looked at him with a smile, "Because, I want him to know that we are impossible and could never get back together."
