17 Promise

"Honey," a seventeen year old girl in her school uniform exclaimed with a cheeky smile, "How does that sound?" she asked, placing her hands on the shoulders of a boy around the same age.

The young Weimin wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her a little closer to give a small peck on her nose, "Hmm...It's sweet indeed."

She giggled a little and spoke softly, "Then I would call you Honey for the rest of our lives."

He chuckled in return, "Honey is sweet and your voice is sweet, what if I get diabetes in the end if you call that with your sweet voice forever?"

She slapped his shoulder playfully, "Then I would get you an insulin shot. So just shut up."

"Yes ma'am."

"By the way you should give me a name too. A name, that belongs to us. Only us," she snuggled into his arms and looked into his eyes.

"Hmm...Good idea. If I am your Honey then you would be …. My Teddy. Yes, my Teddy."

"Eww why would you call me a teddy?"

"Because teddy is a bear and a bear 'loves' honey and honey sticks itself to that bear. Just like us," He smiled tenderly at her.

"Cheesy," she scrunched up her nose to show her disgust towards his cheesiness but that only made her look more cute. He couldn't help but bop her nose with his index finger but that didn't satisfy him making him to give her a kiss on her nose again.

He chuckled and said, "Okay if you think it's cheesy then I would say another reason."

"Huh. I knew you would have another reason. I am sure that is not good for me to listen," she rolled her eyes at him but she raised her head to indicate for him to continue to say, as she couldn't control her curiosity.

"Well, I love your cuddles just how you cuddle a teddy bear. I love cuddling you the same way too."

Her face turned red at his words as he spoke them softly near her ear. She pushed him away and glared at him, "Who would want to cuddle with you. Hmph."

As she started walking away, he laughed at her antics and started following behind her and caught up with her to catch her hand in his large ones.

"You will be my only Teddy for the rest of our lives. I promise."

She intertwined their hands and tightened them, "I promise too. You will be my Honey forever."

. . .

At present, the older Weimin who sat in the back seat of his car which was moving smoothly on the road whose eyes were closed, opened his eyes slowly which were swirling with a storm of emotions. He tried his best to calm his nervous nerves.

"You broke your promise today, Teddy." He spoke with his raspy voice.

"Boss?" the assistant who was driving turned to look at his boss.

"Looks like you were very close to the young lady back there?" Weimin asked with an eyebrow raised.

"No Boss. When I met Bro Mo yesterday at the beach, they had an argument. She was just a young girl playing with a bunch of kids. I was surprised to meet her here." He spoke with surprise apparent in his voice.

"An argument? What happened?" Weimin asked to which his assistant narrated the entire incident along with how the little kid denied to acknowledge his father in front of Shao Rong and he started laughing at the incident as he recounted the scene.

When he looked at his boss, he found that he was looking at himself with cold eyes which made him tremble and immediately stopped laughing and coughed awkwardly.

"Uhm, Miss Rong is very special to control the young master Mo though." he continued to remove the tension.

"Miss Rong?"

"Yes boss, the young lady who is apparently the assistant of Sun Bingwen."

"So you guys introduced yourselves. How did you introduce yourself to her?" Weimin asked which was weird to hear.

"Um, Boss, I said that I am your assistant like I said to everyone else when you are an actor." he replied hesitantly as he found this conversation a bit weird.

"You can say that you are my secretary in front of her. No need to lie," he paused and then continued, "In front of her. We can be ourselves."

The secretary was shocked by the words of his boss. How is a little young lady who is just an assistant to an actor be different from others? He did not dare to voice out his questions to his boss though. He loved his job dearly.

Well, not the job but it's pay.

After a while, he heard Weimin speaking, "Inform that this would be my last movie. Looks like my life as an actor came to an end."
