Not my Father

The three concerned elders are absorbed in watching the kids to continue their conversation or 'fight'. None of the three noticed each other for a while which made Shao Rong miss the glint that appeared in the man's eyes for a second.

The man came back to his senses and raised his finger to point at the boy and spoke, "You.." he stepped forward as he spoke but he was interrupted by Shao Rong when she came out of her 'Shield' to come face-to-face with the 'enemy'.

"How dare you to threaten a kid? Are you even a man? If you can't bear for a ball to touch you, then don't come to a public beach. You are even trying to fight with a little kid for such a trivial issue." She snorted, "I bet you wouldn't have a kid and even if you did, that kid would be as shameless as you are that makes people not want to play with him. I would never play with your kid. Hmph."

"....." The man was dumbfounded by her exaggeration and strength to drag the topic to his son.

When he was about to speak, the man beside him stepped forward to speak, "Miss, we are sorry for the trouble. My friend is just troubled over some issues and that anger made him speak harshly towards you. There is actually no malicious intent in his words. Please I request of you to forgive him and enjoy your stay at the beach."

Shao Rong is satisfied with the professionalism he showed in negotiating such a trivial issue. He could be a diplomat but he is obviously not one.

From the attire and his body language he belongs to a corporate industry. He could either be a CEO or his assistant. Shao Rong concluded her observation of him which is her habitual trait.

She turned her head to look at the previous man to see there was no dangerous glint that appeared earlier. She thus mumbled an okay and took the ball and called all the kids to leave to their previous spot to continue playing.

What she did not notice is the leader-kid stayed behind and was frozen on his spot.

'I would never play with your son'

Her words played in his head in a loop and he couldn't move in his spot.

He turned to face the previous man who caused all this issue and glared at him.

The man was somehow guilt stricken from the looks he received from the boy, "Um," he couldn't utter any words to the little boy who is still glaring at him.

The soft voice was heard with a little danger added to it, "From now onwards, you are not allowed to tell anyone that you are my father."

The kid left the two dumbfounded men at their place to join the other kids and Shao Rong and joined their play.

"...."

"...."

It took awhile for the two to return back to their senses.

"Did my son just refuse to recognise me as his father?" the first man spoke to the second who just nodded his head in agreement.

"W.. What?" He widened his eyes.

"Bro Mo, you shouldn't have shown your temper on someone whom you just met without considering the consequences. I think you deserve to receive this treatment," the second man shrugged.

"C'mon Bro, you lot didn't even allow me to apologise to that little girl before stating everyone's verdict," he slumped his shoulders, "One doesn't want to play with my son while my son doesn't want to recognise me as his father while you on the other hand states that I deserve all this."

He just spoke rashly to some random girl in a fit of anger and resulted in this deep shit. He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration.

"Do you think you don't deserve all this?" his friend chuckled and hit his shoulder.

"You Jerk. You are the one who spoilt my mood in the first place. I don't deserve anything. You are the one who deserves all types of shit," he slapped away his friend's hand that just slapped his shoulder.

"Shut up. You are the one who should control your weird temper alright?" His friend chuckled once again.

"Don't you think your advice is a bit late?" He raised his lowered head with sadness clearly written all over his face.

His friend couldn't control his laughter at his comical face anymore and let out loud guffaws letting go of his decent image that he always maintained.
