Join Kids

The next day, the small team gathered at the airport at noon and boarded the plane together.

After getting out of airport in City B, the group took their earlier arranged car to their places. Manager Wang and Sis Xiao both stays in a hotel while Bingwen and Shao Rong went to Sun family's villa in City B as arranged earlier.

Once they reached the villa, they freshened up in their respective rooms and had their lunch at the dining table prepared by the maid who is already instructed to not to come in front of them repeatedly by Father Sun.

Shao Rong is not a sociable person. She had to be social for her work but once she is at home she needs to take as much rest as possible.

Another reason is that she needs to switch her faces often and the place to change is Sun villa. The maid noticing such a spectacle is not healthy.

Bingwen wanted to rest after having his lunch and asked Shao Rong what she wanted to do. She of course wanted to go sightseeing on her first day of her vacation.

Who wouldn't be excited on their first day of a trip?

Well, at least, she would.

Shao Rong, hence with her face of Rong Rong or 'assistant', left the villa to go to the beach. The main attraction of City B is after all the beach.

She took a leisure stroll while watching a few children playing in the sand at a distance. She is suddenly envious of the kids who were playing freely.

There is no pretense.

There is no scheming.

There is no deception.

There is nothing except fun and pure hearts.

Once they cross this age, they need to enter the ruthless society and need to change themselves in order to mould into the society.

They need to throw away their humanity and mankind with every step they take. Friends turn into enemies. Relatives turn into leeches. There is too much red in the world for these innocent kids to handle.

How nice it would be if everyone stops aging at this age and stays happy forever.

That would be a paradoxical dream. Never gonna happen.

Shao Rong suddenly hit an idea and walked towards the group of kids.

So what if she cannot return to their age.

She can always play with them and enjoy their company. She skipped happily towards the bunch of kids and joined them building a sand castle.

"Sister, you are not allowed to join us to play. Only kids are allowed to join us," a little boy around 5 years old spoke in an authoritative manner.

He is of course the leader of these bunch of kids.

"Who told you that I am not a kid. I am a kid too," Shao Rong teased the boy with a grin.

"You are a kid? Then prove it to us," a little girl with two cute pig tails joined the boy in questioning. "How old are you?"

"I am this many," Shao Rong smiled and raised her right index finger to show number one.

"Huh? You are one year old? Who are you trying to cheat?" the boy raised his voice and shouted to show his unacceptance of her cheating them.

"Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar," the boy started shouting pointing his finger towards her.

"Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar."

"Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar."

"Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar."

"Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar."

"Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar."

A bunch of kids started shouting at her as if they were in a strike protesting against a big organization.

'This little kid is really good at his leadership qualities. He can easily antagonize such a crowd with a few words,' Shao Rong is really amused by this scene and stood up to place her hands on her hips and bent her neck to look straight into the eyes of the boy.

"When did I lie. You are all ganging up on me," she spoke loudly so all the kids can listen, "How can a man like you gang up with others to bully a girl like me?"

Which kid doesn't like to be treated like an adult? So they never protested that he is not a man but a boy, instead they felt it was really wrong of him to bully a girl.

The leader-boy thought the same too.

The boy bent his head in shame but remembered her earlier action and raised his head to speak, "You are the one who lied to us. In what way are you a one year old kid. Being an elder and cheating us, you should be more shameful. Baaah," he stuck his tongue out cutely to show his protest.

Shao Rong smiled at the boy and removed her hands from her hip and crossed them over her chest and spoke, "When did I say that I am one year old?"

The boy was dumbfounded by her shamelessness and retorted, "Didn't you just show one finger when I asked your age?"

"Oh, is that so? Show eighteen on your fingers," she spoke softly with amusement.

The boy thought for a while and raised his hand to show his index finger and when he was about to change the gesture of his hands, Shao Rong interrupted, "Why did you show one, when I asked you to show eighteen?"

He looked at her face and widened his eyes.
