YOU LIFT BRO?

Everyone just looked up at her for a moment before Azaire jumped up from Jared's lap and greeted his master's return with a respectful bow before replying. "I'm ready to continue now master, thank you for not changing your mind!"

Azaire had been afraid that after the "near death" experience, master Talya would change her mind about giving him the chance to prove he was ready for the body cultivation of the Diagram of Life. He had surpassed himself in actually unlocking Ki during the first test and allowing himself to cultivate half of the body cultivation already but he knew his master, if she continued to humor him, would still make him test for the next half first before teaching him the full body cultivation for the Diagram of Life.

Master Talya smacked her lips in annoyance before replying, "Tch. It's not like you would have listened to me even if I tried to refuse ya! I'd much rather give you another chance to convince me then to have you trying to learn it behind my back. Next time you might find some new idiotic way ta almost kill yaself and I won't be around to make sure it's only "almost" so I'll go with this."

Azaire could tell with his master's accent that despite her carrying on with the tests she wasn't too happy about it and she was probably still slightly worried about what happened before. Master walked over toward the rockier part of the rocky field they had camped next too until she stood near a boulder nearly twice her size and as big as a rhino. Honestly it seemed more like a tiny hill then a huge boulder. After arriving near this boulder she turned to the group that had followed her as if she had no doubt they would do so from the start.

Jared was grumbling to himself and frowning but for Azaire's sake didn't say much out loud or try and start anything with master Talya. Titania and Roran however simply observed warily as master Talya spoke to Azaire who was giving her his full attention.

"Watch me very carefully."

This was all master Talya would say before she easily lifted the huge boulder with one hand as if it was a feather instead. After pumping it up and down for a bit like a dumbbell she put it back down smoothly without letting it make a sound.

"Did you see it clearly?"

Master Talya looked toward Azaire expectantly, but unfortunately Azaire had no clue what it was his master was trying to show him. She made a mock disappointed head shake before calling on Jared.

"C'mere for a second princey. I need an example."

Jared had been on the verge of protest when he noticed Azaire's expectant eye's. With a dramatic sigh Jared walked up to master Talya and she immediately tapped the middle of his forehead and suppressed the majority of his cultivation and ensuring his height stayed suppressed as well. "He-," Jared started to protest again but before he can say much more master Talya pushed Jared to the boulder with one instruction, "Pick it up."

Jared looked at the psychotic woman for a second before just gritting his teeth and going along with it. He prepared to pick up the boulder with all his strength placing both hands underneath it and preparing to dead lift it but surprisingly it came up very easily in his hands and this was obvious to everyone as Jared shifted it from one hand to the next as if the giant boulder was simply an egg he was tossing from hand-to-hand.

Jared was immediately suspicious but he was no spiteful of master Talya to ruin Azzy's training she made, and he still had to rely on her for Skye. Besides she probably wanted an excuse to postpone Azaire's Body Cultivation. Jared was definitely not going to be the reason that happened so instead of looking to far into it he dropped the boulder and walked back to the small group and before he even had to ask he felt the extra seal on his cultivation from master Talya lift.

Master Talya herself could feel herself sigh inwardly as she made a mental note to reconcile with the sulking prince. The last thing she needed was a passive aggressive giant to distract her from all the things she already had to do.

"King Titania if you will."

Without need for much instruction Titania walked forward allowing the seal on her cultivation and without much fanfare repeated Jared's actions quickly before returning and having her cultivation returned just as quickly showing her amazing discipline and self control with her efficient actions and militaristic attitude.

As Roran puffed himself up ready to be called forward master Talya spoke again, "Alright Azaire now give it another go why don't you?"

Roran who had half-stepped forward quickly retreated with his cheeks coloring in embarrassment, pretending the moment never happened. Although it was impossible that everyone there with their sharp senses hadn't noticed everyone was kind enough to pretend it had gone unseen.

Azaire looked toward his master with a solemn expression. Her face was a mask and he couldn't read the smallest hint. A giant having hidden strength to lift a mountain even with his cultivation crippled could be explained away but there was no reason a fairy in the same situation should be able to produce similar results.

But frustratingly enough he still couldn't see the trick. He was as confused as when she first demonstrated. Seeing his expression master Talya smirked as she consoled her student.

"If it was easy to do it wouldn't be worth it right? Don't worry I'll give you until sunset to lift the boulder 2 inches from the ground. If you can do that you pass and I'll fully teach you the body cultivation for the Life Diagram. Aren't I generous? Good luck!"

Azaire could only reveal helplessness at having his earlier argument used against him and then an obvious bribe to boot. That was that then he just had to do it! Walking forward to take his place in front of the boulder he noticed his master made no attempt to seal his Ki. It made sense as the other two had actually had a cultivation where as he hadn't even reached the enlightenment realm yet. Legacy or no legacy he wasn't much against an actual cultivator in comparison right now.

Azaire bent forward and attempted to pick up the boulder with all his strength but it didn't even budge, sitting there immovable, like it was mocking him. Well. Azaire had figured it wouldn't be that easy but he had to give it a shot just in case the trick was some answer like the boulder could only be picked up by not using power or by being weak or something like that.

Since that was the case he would just have to get serious and see how the stubborn boulder handled that! Without wasting another moment Azaire activated his Ki....
