2 Woman

If you were looking at me from the other side of the window you'd see an idiot with her face pressed obnoxiously close to the window with her breath fogging up the glass.

I was in Paris. In a room that wasn't mine. And... without my mom. "Nononononono." I mumbled beginning to pace around my room. "What if he does something to her?" I whined as a ball grew in my throat, worry running through every cell in my being. "What if he does something to her before I get home?" I slump to the floor feeling helpless. I hop to my feet.

I have to get home.

I turn the knob on the door but it was locked. I pushed and shoved but it didn't budge. I walked back and prepared myself. I ran forward ramming into the door. I had my eyes closed when wood smashed and cracked as it broke but there was still something solid against my aching shoulder.

I open my eyes and take a step back from what used to be a wooden door. A thick layer of wood was left only around the edges of the door, framing the sleek metal with the smallest dent where my shoulder hit. I tried the doorknob again but it didn't work. I go to the window again and tug at the edges. A click was heard and it lifted up. I sighed in relief grabbing a bag and putting my phone and my wallet inside. I slung it over my shoulder before looking under the window. There wasn't any balcony, only a ledge. To the far left was the fire escape.

I bit my lip before carefully climbing out of the window keeping my shoes on the ledge as my hands clung onto another ledge that reached my shoulders. My shoes scooted over and slowly I got to the middle of my destination. Then a small pat was heard above me. But I didn't have the balls to look away for I had a huge fear of heights.

Ignoring the sound I kept scooting my feet closer to the fire escape. I was honestly waiting for this to be another one of my constant nightmares. They were filled with my biggest fears and since one is heights that's what's filled my little slept nights. They always went about the same way. I would be in a situation with heights and some freak accident would happen or I would make some really stupid decisions in my dream and I'd be falling. Then right before I would hit the ground everything would go black as my adrenaline was pumping and I'd wake up sweating, my heart racing.

I was really hoping if I'd fall that this was only one of my nightmares. "What are you doing out so late?" The voice shook me and I lost my grip.

'Damn I should have knocked on wood after I said that.'

I yelped as my body fell backwards and my feet, no longer having weight to hold them onto the ledge, began to descend... I don't know how many stories. I curled into a ball as I wished, no begged that this was only a nightmare. I stared at the ground, my adrenaline pumping and shut my eyes as everything went black. I stopped falling but I didn't wake up. My brain panicked.

'Oh shit oh shit we killed her!' A thought screamed as I imagined it running around my skull. 'No you dumbass she's still thinking. She's alive.' That thought whacked the other one in the head. 'She's gonna die and this is what we're thinking as our last thoughts?!' A third thought exclaimed.

But then I realized. There was no pain. Instead warmth and... leather? I opened one eye and I found my self with arms wrapped around my waist as I was suspended above the floor. I squealed at the far distance of the floor. I look at the boy holding me. "Put me down! Put me down!" I exclaim grabbing onto his collar. He shrugs. "Ok." He says charismatically. We start descending really fast to the floor and I cling to him tighter. "SLOWER DUMBASS!!!" He chuckles as he slows down the fall and as soon as we are a few feet above the ground I yank myself from him and jump to the floor. I let out a sigh of relief as I sat scrambled on the sidewalk.

"I've never loved this tacky grey color so much!" I squeal petting the floor as if it were a dog.

"What were you doing sneaking out?" The boy asks and I look up at him, my smile gone. "You dumbass! You could have killed me!" I yank at his collar bringing his face to mine.

He smirked. "If you wanted a kiss so bad you could have just asked." I gritted my teeth. "I'm going to give a whole lot more than just a kiss cat boy." I growled pulling his face closer. 'Wait... cat boy?' My grip loosened on him as my brain started functioning again.

Cat boy cat boy... Cat Noir...

Wait a fucking second. Wait a motherfucking second.

My eyebrows furrow as I open my bag. I look for my phone and pull it out. I open Netflix and look for the show I was literally watching only an hour ago. But it wasn't there anymore. I look at my WEBTOON and Wattpad where I posted fanfictions where one was of ladybug and Cat Noir. Nothing. I look through my photos for any memes I had but no Miraculous lady bug. 'What the hell?' I search every application on my phone but nothing came up.

"What's your name?" I asked still staring at my phone. "Doesn't almost everyone in Paris know? I'm Cat Noir, the one and only." He bowed like a prince and I stared at him cautiously. "Is this like some sort of comic con? Or... a PRANK! Yes of course how could I be so stupid? This all fake."I let go of my bottom lip that I've been biting since I started looking through my phone. But I only bite it again. Slapping my forehead I groan.

"How would they have gotten me to Paris in such little time? And this seemed too authentic to be fake leather. The gold bell and stitching and the... cat ears. They don't come off and they move. And to have an entire suit of it would cost a lot even if someone was totally dedicated to this prank." I poke at his suit staring at the stitching and material. "Hey cat is there a tag on this?" Before he even answered I was behind him pulling back the collar. "Tch. No tag. Not even left over tag stitches. Or tears." I pull at my hair as the inner detective in me thinks of every possible situation and crossing out the impossible ones.

"Well are you going to go back home? I don't think you should be out this late." Cat says and I jump as I had almost forgotten he was here. I point at him. "Yes home. Where is the airport and do you know how much a ticket to the US is?" I stuck my phone in my bag and sling it over my shoulder as I retie my shoelace.

"Um that way and I don't know. But isn't that your home?" He pointed up at the window that I came out of. It was the only one with its light on and I could hear heather by connan gray faintly playing from my speaker that I hadn't turned off or disconnected from my phone. "Well um.." I thought of an answer when I felt someone push me backwards as I hit a wall.

The figure of a woman made itself more visible in front of me as her sunglasses covered her eyes and her mask covered any other skin. Her short hair was put up into a cap and she wore black ripped jeans and a white shirt.

She pulled my collar and I wanted to move but my limbs felt like they were being held back by actual hands.

"Don't say,

Be with him

And he'll make you want to stay.

If you leave all will be lost

And you will have less then what it cost."

Her voice was symbolic. It was something that left me in a trance. My eyes started shutting but Cat shook me. I looked at him my eyes half lidded as my consciousness slipped. "Hey! Wake up!" His voice was very faint but I knew he was right in front of me when I felt his hands grab my arms shaking them. They weren't like the ones holding me back earlier. These were warm and felt like the leather from his gloves.

Blackness surrounded me before I could reply though.
