9 Library

I was in my room newly showered and done with all my homework. I had cooked dinner and cleaned what I had to. I was exhausted for the day. It was only 11:50 but my curiosity was still running through me and my brain.

I looked at the chair that was tucked into my desk where my homework lay, finished. I stared and watched as the electricity ran through my body and soon enough Conner appeared sitting on the chair as if he owned it, and he sort of did.

"Well you summoned madam." He bowed dramatically and I threw a pillow at him. "Shut up. I have things to ask you." He chuckled and sat back in the chair. "Go ahead."

I crossed my legs on the bed. "Who was that woman? The one on the first night." His eyes widened and shoulders tensed as he sat up. "Yes her. I had no idea who she was. But..." he stood up and jumped out my window. I opened my mouth and closed it. "Wait!" I whispered and put on my shoes and grabbed my phones before following him.

I hopped out the window and went through the ledge quickly scooting over and running down the stairs. I panted when I jumped off the final flight glaring at the wolf. "You... can't do that." I tried caring my breath. It was 15 flights if stairs and I wasn't built for that kind If run. He rolled his eyes.

"Come on. You can get tired later. I need to show you what I'm talking about." He grabbed my arm and dragged me down the streets. I did watch this series a lot and sometimes rewatched it while waiting for a new episode, but couldn't tell where we were going.

"How long we're you out that you know where we're going?" I asked yanking my arm away and keeping up with his fast pace.  "Long enough with your sorry ass sleeping. I swear I almost thought you were in a coma cause I couldn't wake you up." We finally stopped and my chest was going up and down rapidly.

Then I realized where we were. "Why the hell are we back in school?" I looked up at the large building before me. He stepped a few feet and reached a window, then looked at me. I raised my eyebrows and in a quick movement he broke the window with his elbow and nodded inside. I sighed.

"Your fucking paying for the damages when we get caught asshole." I grumbled watching as he climbed in and I went in soon after. Right as my feet touched the floor, I got an off feeling and looked out the window looking everywhere. My gaze focused on the rooftop of a building across the street. When nothing moved I brushed it off and put my head back inside the building following the sound of Conners footsteps in the dark.

I couldn't see anything in front of me and I bumped I to Conner. "What the hell Conner. You could've told me you were there." I held my shoulder that hurt from the impact and the time that I hit it against the door a few days ago.

"Um... y/n?" I heard Conners voice from behind me.

I glanced behind me and saw his faint outline. Then looking back in front of me bright green eyes opened and  glowed compared to the blackness surrounding us. Conner and I stepped back in surprise.

"Well, rather rude breaking into your own school. Wouldn't you say?" A flirtatious voice came from the eyes in front of us.

"And don't you think it's rude to sneak up on people." I stepped back into the real Conners chest as he tried giving off a calming sent to relax my anxious one. He could sense it, he knew I had a fear of what lay in the dark.

He put a hand on my hip, slowly walking me away from the eyes. "How much do you think the damage would cost, Y/n?" I gulped at the sound of my name. "Ah- and you. I should be asking you, after all you broke it." Its pupils looked behind me where Conner stood.

"It's Conner. And we won't be paying for anything." His voice was low and almost threatening.

Another thing I knew, his heat was in a few days, he wouldn't be able to fight for long with his... parts... feeling uncomfortable. And if he did then I would as well. Then we couldn't fend for one another. We were both vulnerable during this time of the month. My parents just thought it was my period and didn't bother me in my room when I tried to calm myself.

"Y/n, what were you guys going to do here?" I opened my mouth and shut it. It honestly didn't know I simply followed Conner. "We were going to hang out on the roof. Ya know, a little date." My face scrunched up at the thought. Conner pinched my side already knowing what I was doing.

"I asked Y/n." I could hear the smile in his voice. "Like he said. Just a date." Conner grasped my hand and squeezed hard. I squeezed back harder. And it just ended in the both of us letting go with reddened hands.

He chuckled. "Most girls prefer dates in a park or at a restaurant." He laughed and I simply glared. "Well I'm not 'most girls'. Cause they fall for your sorry ass." I said basically growling at his insult.

"Well..." the eyes got bigger and I realized it was because he was getting closer. "...what can i say? My charms are almost unbearable." He grabbed my right hand and brought it to his lips. I took my hand back. "Yes. Almost." I grumbled rolling my eyes at the boy.

"Come on baby-" Conner grunted in reaction to me jabbing his stomach with my elbow."let's go somewhere more private." I made a face but followed Conner.

We walked down the sidewalk our comfortable silence filling us as we stared at everything. "A date? Really though?" I had my hands stuffed in my pockets the chilly autumn air hitting harder than in Texas. It was hot there 90% of the year and I wasn't used to having this much cold air.

He shrugged his shoulders. "It's believable. Two teens breaking into a school after hours alone. In the middle of the night. It's better than saying we were going to fuck in the bookshelves." I rolled my eyes but chuckled at him comment.

"What did we need to go to the library for?" I asked as we crossed the empty street. He kicked a rock into the street. "It was a Greek mythology book. I read a little on it. It talked about time travel and how warnings go to yourself from the future to the present you to try to prevent something." I rubbed my arms. "And what could that be?" I asked and he shrugged his shoulders. "It must have been terrible the way life was going for you. It takes a lot fo energy from someone to time travel."

I looked up at the fire escape stairs that were about a foot above where my arms reached. Conner jumped and his hand held onto the railing. He pulled himself up then looked back down at me. I hopped and got a hold of the railing then pulled myself up. I went over the rail and we began our walk up the stairs.

We reached the floor and he helped me enter the room. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and put my hair up.

I walked into the room to Conner changing. I walked past him and onto the bed. I sighed as I felt the softness of the sheets and my pillows.

When he put in shorts he walked up to the bed, bare chest and all.

I opened my eyes to see him lay down. "Hi handsome." I hummed. I don't know why but I had gotten the sudden mood boost and I felt rather happy right now.

He raised his eyebrows at my words. "Well that's new." He said and I frowned. "If you don't like my compliments I'll continue calling you an ugly ass, stupid head." I glared at him but he shook his head a grin in his face. "No complaints here. It's nice being complimented by you, cutes." He pulled me into his chest as I snuggled into the blanket.

There was a nice cozy and comfortable silence as our calm scents surrounded us both. "Who do you think the woman was talking about?" I picked up my head to look at Conners face and he looked at me. "I don't know. A lot of things are confusing." He put his chin on my head and I shut my eyes.

"But let's think about it all tomorrow."
