(Chance)

Sasha looked scared. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on in that beautiful mind of hers. Could she rrally think it was going to be that bad? Silly woman.

Could she be wondering if my family will like her? Is she still caught in the past? Not knowing was taring me up inside. So I decided I'd just ask her.

"My sweet, what's going on? Are you ready?" Without saying a word she just nods.

The silence just deepens my worry. Well, no sense on dewelling on the unspoken. I finally pull up to the front door. It was opeon wide with two guards on either side. They were dressed in the same atire as Armenious, their build slightly smaller. the gargoyle statues sat on either side of them, lending an extra ominous feel to them.

I knew that my parents would have the place well guarded, but to have gargoyles as well as the Elite Guard seemed a bit much. Though, I guess, after they learned of the mishap at the last party my dear mate experienced they weren't taking any chances.

Just to prove my point the sound of howling came from the back. My Family was known for contracting Changers as extra help when they deemed it necessary. With thier presence it could only mean that this party was more than I was aware of.

"Sasha? It's going to be ok. I promise. They are going to love you, every one of them. Trust me. If you need to, just hold my hand. I won't leave your side, okay?"

"Yes. Thank you" her voice held an uncertain tone to it. Yet, being the brave woman that she is, I know she'll push past he fear.

Again my thoughts were proven right because I heard her deep inhale of breath and slow release.

"Let's do this." She said and gave me a warm smile. There was a certain calmness to her voice that made me even more proud to call her mate.

I got out and went to open her door, but before I could she had already opened it and was starting to get out.

"I wish you would stop doing that, Sasha. I don't mind opening your door for you, you know." I said, slightly exasperated.

All she did was laugh and stick her tongue out at me in response. I, in return, could only laugh. My exasperation all but forgotten. After that she took my hand. Only then did her thoughts and feelings become clear to me. Only then did I understand what was truely on her mind. She, unknowingly, relayed her deepest thoughts and feelings.

This almoat made me stumble.

"Dearest, there is no time table on giving me children, and as I said, they will all love you. What is there not to love?" I responded to her unspoken fears.

"I truely hope so.And maybe we could talk to your parents about that absurd rule." She didn't ask how I knew, I guess knowing what we are she just chalked it up to it being one of my talents.

What an unexpected suprise it will be when i tell her that it wasn't mine, but hers.

As we approached the doors the sounds of music met us. They will like her, I just know they will.
