12 I found you Sam...

"Yes Ida. What now?" Mia asked.

"Eva is dead," Ida said while crying.

"WHAT?!" Her eyes popped out. Goosebumps appeared on her skin. Her mind froze and she wasn't able to think of anything.

"Mia?"

"Mia, are you there??" Ida enquired.

"How did this happen?" Mia snapped out of her emotions. "Who killed her? Do you have any idea?" she asked.

"Charlie, the police officer," Ida replied.

"But why will she do that??" Mia was clueless.

"Even I don't know that." Ida was as confused as Mia.

"Then find out. You go after the officer and I will handle this guy" Mia clenched her jaw.

"Copy that," Ida said firmly.

Mia got ready and headed straight to the park. She knew Kevin would come there for jogging. Covering her face with a mask and placing a cap on her head, she climbed up the tallest tree in the park. From there, she could easily keep an eye on anyone coming in and going out of the park, without being seen. After reaching the appropriate height, she sat on one of the branches. She also brought the binoculars to keep a close eye on everyone. The net has been casted, now it's time to wait for the prey.

"There he is" an evil smile appeared on Mia's face as Kevin entered the park.

Kevin stretched his arms and legs. Taking a deep, long breath he fetched out his cell phone from his pocket. Connecting his headphones, which were hanging around his neck, with his cell phone he scrolled for his workout playlist.

"What is he doing? Is he texting somebody?" She was carefully watching him.

Hitting the play button, Kevin wore his headphones and placed the phone in his track's pocket. Then he started to jog. Mia was keeping a close eye on him.

After taking a good ten rounds of the considerable park, he came out from the premises and went straight into the streets. Mia swiftly came down from the huge tree to follow him. So far, he had no clue that someone was keeping an eye on him.

"What the hell! Where is he going now?" Mia thought to herself while following Kevin.

Kevin was walking carelessly. He turned into a three-floored building of considerable size. Mia turned her head upwards to see what that was.

"Seriously!" her nose scrunched up as soon as she saw what it was.

"Library!" She had those terribly judging looks on her face.

"Nerd!" She scoffed. Pressing her lips tight, she entered the library half-heartedly.

Kevin took out a book from the shelf marked 'Mystery' and came to the reading room with it. Mia quietly followed him and picked up a random book from the nearest section. She sat across, at a distance and partially covered her face with the book. Only her eyes were visible, which were busy in keeping an eye on him.

On the other side Kevin was reading his book peacefully, without any movement.

Thirty-five minutes passed like this. Kevin was engrossed in the book while Mia was trying hard not to fall asleep. "Oh C'mon! Get over it quickly" Mia was constantly tapping her feet.

Suddenly, Kevin's phone started vibrating. He picked up his phone. Instantly, he got up from his place. Leaving the book on the table he left the place. Mia sighed from relief and quickly got up. With one swift move she stretched her legs again started following Kevin.

After leaving the library, he hastened to a departmental store and took some instant food packets. He paid the bill and charged towards the hill station.

"What is he up to?" Mia couldn't understand what was going on. She was blankly following Kevin.

After a long twenty-three minutes walk, Kevin finally stopped at an old, run-down house. He looked at the surroundings. Mia stepped back and hid behind a street lamp to avoid being caught. After looking in all the directions he unlocked the door quietly and went inside.

Mia came out, from behind the street lamp, to check what Kevin was hiding.

***Gunshot Echoes***

***Gun Reloading Sound***

Mia's eyes narrowed while her heart started thumping in her chest. She gulped and slowly turned around. A teenaged boy was standing near her with his phone ringing in his hand. "I am about to reach your place", The boy picked up the call.

"Yeah, I am on my way." the boy answered in a slight irritated way.

It didn't took long for Mia to realize that it was just his ringtone. "Stupid teenagers!" she said between her clenched teeth while taking deep breath to calm herself down. She turned back to the old house where Kevin went and tried to get an idea of what was happening inside. She went near that house and inspected it thoroughly. Nothing could be heard. She decided to wait till Kevin came out.

After forty minutes, Kevin finally came out from the house empty-handed. He locked the door and without looking back, started walking back to his place.

"So, there you are," Mia said with a smirk on her face. "I am coming for you, Sam. And this time, it will be permanent" she had an devilish smile on her face. She looks around to ensure nobody sees her. "I am coming for you" she marked while taking out her gun.
