2 Chapter 1: Her?

Cali's POV

I'm currently settling myself because it's the start of our 1st semester today. I put on my beige cream long sleeve, navy blue skirt, and a badge pin that says MUI which means Mercadelio University Institute, the university that I'm studying at.

I'm on my 2nd year of college now, studying architecture. My friend Adriah and Reileigh are studying architecture as well. Ad has been my friend for a long time, while Rei, we've just met her last year.

I was busy watching myself in the mirror when my phone vibrated.

From: Ad

"Where the heck are you? We're waiting here for like hours."

Instead of replying, I ignored it and continued preparing myself. I went outside of my room and the get up was still usual. I'm the only one who's living here in my unit, my mom and dad have their own house with my little sister who's on her 11th grade now.

After I got out of the building, I get in on my Red Tesla Roadster and drove to the university. While driving, I come across a familiar restaurant.

That resto was used to be our favorite place along with my ex boyfriend. We always ate there, especially when it's time for dinner. And that is also the place where I found out that he's been cheating on my back all along. Funny isn't it? I was eighteen that time while he's already twenty.

I really don't get that likes of people who aren't contented of what they have. I mean, when it comes to relationship, wouldn't it be easier if they just told us that they're not happy anymore. Isn't cheating will just cause more drama? humans are complicated.

Oh and that ex boyfriend of mine, turns out to be Ad's brother. Iconic right? But, that didn't cause me to avoid Ad. It's not like she's the one who did me wrong right, it's her brother.

I stopped thinking about that thing when I finally arrived. I parked my car, and went inside.

Still the same MUI, nothing new.

I went in and headed to the auditorium because I was informed that the ceremony will be held there, I was about to open the main door when someone called out to me.

"Hey."

I turned around to see if it was a teacher but it was just a student also. An engineering student to be exact. How did I know? Because of what she's wearing. Architecture and engineering students are on the same building, but our uniforms are different. If ours are long sleeve blouse and skirts, then for them, it's short sleeve blouse and slacks.

I was a bit stunned when I turned around, she has the looks, and the height. I'm only on 5'4, and she's about 2 to 3 inches way above me.

"Uhm, why?" I plainly asked, because she's just staring at me which is weird.

"This, you dropped your handkerchief." she smiled, and I noticed that she's really holding my handkerchief.

I took my it and place it again on my pocket. I didn't know I dropped it, silly me.

"Numb." She whispered and averted her gaze in other direction.

"What?" I raised my left eyebrow.

"I said I'm glad I saw it before anyone could." She chuckled and faced me.

This is the reason why I don't talk to strangers, they're just plainly stupid for me. Unless, they're my friends who's already normally stupid in the first place.

"Anyway, thanks." I still thanked her, just so she wouldn't think that I don't know the word "appreciate".

"You're welcome." Sinukbit niya ang backpack niya at tuluyang umalis sa harapan ko.

After the handkerchief incident, I head in to the auditorium and the ceremony was done but they have one more thing, an announcement I think.

I searched for the two idiots and found them standing close to the edge of the wall. Ad doesn't like crowded places so that's why.

"Finally! Just how much time do you spend on the bathroom Cali? What are you, A Turtle? A Sloth!?" Ad complaints, but I just rolled my eyes at her.

"What took you so long then?" Rei asked, but I just shrugged my shoulder.

They do know that I'm very very slow when it comes to preparing but they're still asking me why, tch.

"Students, be remind that we'll have our welcome party later after class, don't miss it!" The student council president announced, then all of the students get loud.

As far as I can remember, there's no welcome party that's been held last year. Is this the improvement they're taking about?

After all the announcements, we head back to the classroom but stayed at the corridor for a moment since someone goes to the council to get our classroom key.

"Wait, I feel like pooping."

Rei of course, so updating to the point where even when she has an upset stomach, she will still update us. Like really? Tss. We just went to bathroom with her, then re touched our very light make up.

"Bad timing, tsk." I glanced at Ad who just cussed. She's looking for something on her bag and on her wallet.

"What is it?" I asked, putting some baby powder on my face.

"My credit card, I forgot to take it from twin."

Her twin, I don't personally know her nor have met her but Ad always talk about her though. My ex never really introduced me to his siblings before. It just happened that Ad became my classmate on our 4th year of high school.

"At lunch break, we'll visit her on her classroom." She said, closing her bag. Oh, so her twin is also studying here in Mercadelio? I didn't know that. I wonder what her twin look like...

"Wooh, success." Said Rei who just got out from the cubicle.

"You know, you wouldn't be like that if only you'd stop binge eating." I plafully said. She's planning to touch my arm but I immediately moved it away from her. Ew!

"Would you please wash your hands first, Reileigh!" I shouted.

"Don't touch me, yo hands are dirty~" Ad made faces to tease Rei.

After going to the restroom, we straightly went back at the classroom. The professor was also just in time.

"Good morning class A, call me Mrs. Ramirez. I'll be your adviser this year. Shall we start the introduction?" The prof lively asked.

As you can see, I'm from class A. Not bragging, but since I was a kid, I've always been on top. Valedictorian since elementary, up to senior high. And this college, hopefully.

And we're on again for the most repeated session; intoduce yourself. "I am" here, "my name" is there. The same thing since what? Elementary!

I've patiently waited until it's my turn, I'm just doing my own thing here, I'm not actually listening to them.

I stood in the front and started to introduce myself.

"Greetings, everyone. I am Calista Selene Monasterial, 20 years old, and Architecture is my passion, obviously."

We're here at the cafeteria at the moment, and luckily we've survived from the first three subjects. I mean, it's not hard, I'm just a bit lazy today.

While eating, I recalled what Ad told me earlier.

"We still need to go right?" I asked, taking a bite at my tuna sandwich.

Ad glanced at me when I asked, she wiped her mouth first before answering my question. Unlike Rei whose mouth is full but keeps on talking like there's no tomorrow.

"Chill, we have lootttsss of time." Well, I'm just asking, and I've finished my food so that's why.

"Describe her for me." I take a sip on my milk. She once said that there's four of them including my ex boyfriend. That jerk, I wonder if he's still alive, I hope not.

Bad.

"Hmm, she's pretty." She said, cleaning her hands with a tissue. "Tsk, forgot to mention that it's already on our blood." She added, flipping her hair.

I was not informed that she has an aircon inside of her body, tch.

"She's also tall tho, I actually tried to convince her to do modelling, but she refused. She said it's too far from her likings." She rapidly explained.

"She's also good at sports. Running, Soccer, Badminton, Billiards, name it. " Hmm, talented.

We finished our lunch break at exactly 1:20 in the afternoon, we still have 10 minutes left to visit her twin.

The two were busy talking as we walked when I noticed that we're heading to the engi-archi building, which is our building.

But I thought we'll visit her twin?

"Hey idiots, we'll go back the classroom?" I confusingly asked them.

They stopped their chitchat for a second to looked at me.

"Our building is also her building." So, an architect student too?

"She's an engineering student, you really are slow physically and mentally Cali."

We went in to the elevator, then Ad pressed the 5th floor button. We, architecture students are usually on the lower floors. While engineering students are usually on the higher ones.

While walking at the corridor to find her twin's block, there was also a student walking in front of us a little further away.

Wait...she looks familiar.

"Twin!" Ad shouted.

It's head turned to us and said. "I know you're here for you credit card, silly."
