3 Welcome to the Family.

Everyone was frozen in their place no one was doing anything except dad ofcourse he was laughing his ass off.

What did I ever do?Why? Just why is this happening?****sighs internally****

Soon our mother and sister recovered from their shock and all three of us were standing up. As soon as I was on my feet I am surprised by what our mother says.

"Stop laughing Isaac or you'll be sleeping on the couch.", she warned him. It effectively shut him up.

She turned and looked at us. And all of a sudden she pulled us and wrapped her arms around us.

"You guys are soo adorable!! I already love you all!! Oh look at you both will you you look exactly the same! How will I recognise who is who?", she started though the last one was directed towards my brothers."And you're soo beautiful dear! I have two daughters now! oh and two sons too!!", all of us were grinning from ear to ear. Suddenly she gasped and said,"How rude of me! I am Selene. But you can call me mom. No actually you have to call me mom. Understand?",we just nod. She is still talking but I zone out.

Never had anyone done something like this to us. She was so cheerful so unlike our mother who was always uptight. It was safe to say we were new to this. This love, care and ordering. It felt soo good. it warmed my heart. This felt like home.

"Sweetheart you're rambling."This is dad. Selene stops and coughs awkwardly.

"Umm sorry about that. I tend to do that alot.", Selene or mom as she insisted more like ordered we call her says as she looks down blushing.

"It's okay mom. I too do it sometimes.", Jace says. She looks up. Her eyes are misty like she is holding back tears.

"Yo-Y-You called me mom?",she asks.

"Yes mom he did",That's me fellows.

"Thank you so much kids! I was worrying just like that! I thought you wouldn't accept me as your mom.",She squeals and does a happy dance. Like literally!

"Mom, can I talk to them now? Please? I want to talk too...", It was the girl. Mom nodded and moved aside. She came to me and said "Hello. I am Mellisa. Though most of the people call me Mel. I am so happy to meet you guys. I always wanted siblings!! Now I have two big brothers and a big sister!!"She says, just as cheerfully as mom.

"Hi Mel. I'm glad to meet you too. I am Lucas.",Well if you haven't guessed it's Lucas.

"I'm Leah." We all look at Jace expectantly. He seems deep in thought. Why? No idea. Suddenly he starts jumping and squealing.

"Did you hear what she just said??? Did you?? She said I'm her big brother!!!!Oh my god!!! is this a dream!!!Oh I love you little sister",He says and pulls Mellissa into a bear hug. We all laugh at the sight of him acting like a child but what can we do if he is a child at heart.

"Calm down Jace. And also introduce yourself to your little sister.",Dad successfully calms him.

"I'm Jace, and I'm your big brother!!", Aaand he starts jumping again.

I sigh as I complete my work and sit on the couch in my room.i just finished unpacking and setting up everything in my room. My room is beautiful. it has a balcony too. I just love it.

A knock on the door pulls me out of my thoughts.

"Come in.",I say. The door opens and revealing Mellissa.She comes and stands beside the couch.

"Hi",she said.

"Hi. Sit down."

"Finished unpacking?"

"Yep."

Both of us sit in rather awkward silence. After a few more minutes I couldn't take it anymore.

"Mellissa please don't be formal like this with me. Be open. Yeah? I always wanted a sister you know? I wanted to have sister whom I would have a special name for and I would hang out with. I wanted and still want to be her best friend. Now that I have you, I am soo happy. I can't even express in words how much grateful I am to god. So I would love it if you would be my best friend but if you can't atleast be a little open. Don't act formally. Please?",I say it all to her.

"Me too."

"Huh?"

"I too wanted a sister to be my best friend if I had one. Now I have you and you are my best friend."

"Really?"

"Really."

"Thank you."

"My pleasure."

"Can I not call you Mel? or Mellissa?I want to call you something else. Something special."

"Of course. As long as I can call you something special too."

"Yaaaaaaaaaaay"

"Lucas and Jace call me Lee. So that's not an option."

"Hmm.... How about.....L?or Ah?"

"No way are you calling me that."

"Hey Leah?"

"Hmm?"

"Can I call you Foxy?"

"What?"

"Foxy."

"Why?"

"I don't know. Just you liked it."

"You seriously googled nicknames for your sister?"

"You didn't like any of the names I told!"

"Fine, search for a good one."

It has been almost 25 minutes since then and I said I will call Mellissa as Lisa or Lizz. She said she prefers both so I could call her both and now she is thinking or more like searching a nickname for me.

"Leah"

"Ya?"

"Do you like Nomi?"

"Who is Nomi?"

"Do you like the name Nomi?"

"Umm..Yeah it's good. But why did you choose that?"

"Nomi is a name which means beautiful and you are beautiful. After all you are my sister. But yeah it is also sounds like a nickname and is cute. So why not?"

"Ohh."

"Sooo?"

"So?"

"Can I call you Nomi?"

"Yeah."

"Lizz?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

"I love you too Nomi."

Just like that I know that this is going to be the start of a very good life. With my family.
