Chapter-14 : Battle Trials [1]

The first week of the training went exceptionally well; I was able to improve on many things, though the improvement was little, it was still more than what I could achieve in this timeframe by myself

I really loved the training facilities, I had even issued [restriction belts] for myself along with some of the other equipment.

These things were very expensive and rare to even find outside, though I could buy them somehow, it would be a waste of money as UA already had many of them which I could borrow.

Apart from me, my classmates were improving at a fast pace, they had never trained like this and had much unexcavated potential which was now showing.

They were improving well in physical department, it was estimated that in 4 to 6 months they would reach peak human physical power, after which their real benefit of having a quirk will show itself.

In martial arts, we were only taught the basic self defense along with disarming techniques. Though not that great, but was a nice start for beginners.

It was Saturday today, the hero training day, today was what All Might considered the real hero training, The combat trials.

He came in like he always did, and pointed towards the wall as long shelves came out of the wall, shelves were well distanced as each one had two cabinets it it.

Each cabinet contained an electronic box which were numbered from 1-20

"These are the hero costumes and weapons that you all requested, all are made according to your specifications along with enhancements that the support team thought would be best." All Might said as he instructed on how to open these cabinets and take our costumes out.

I went to the cabinet which had my roll number on and pressed my ID card in the slot as it took my fingerprint and retinal scan.

The cover slid up as two small briefcases were revealed, I took both out and moved to my desk.

Putting the password in the first one, I opened it as four neat rows of brand new throwing weapons were revealed.

First row consisted of 25 small shurikens, only an inch and a half wide; I requested them to be made of a special, durable but also heavy material, each one weighed 400g.

Second row had 4 neatly arranged karambit knives, each one had a diamond hard but also insanely sharp edge, these were personally made by Matsuda yaoyorozu, Momo's dad, the whole set was priced at almost 1.15 million yen that I had to pay for. Any extra detail, enhancement and specialty would cost very high, and these were one of those things, It would be nearly impossible for me to get them personally made by Momo's dad.

These knives had a special composition which could only be achieved if someone had a creation quirk.

Only by UA's referral could I get these.

After these were two small throwing axe, each one was made of a dense allow which weighed 5kg.

And at last were 50 super light throwing needles, these were best for stealth missions.

I smiled as I closed the briefcase after inspecting each and every thing.

I opened the second briefcase, after seeing which my smile widened even more.

In this briefcase were two identical Pistols, each one cost around 400000 yen, these were specially imported from France, were made in personal factory of the 'Mechanic'. These were specially made guns, each one turned all the energy of the propellant into kinetic energy for the bullets, made less sound than clicking spacebar on a keyboard.

They were extremely rare and regulated, so much so that even through UA referral, I needed to go through much verification to get license for these, and I wasn't allowed to take them out of UA premises until I had a provisional hero license, but that was fine for me.

I needed these things because when against a large number of enemies, I would need to clear them up quickly, and these would not only save me time, but also power and energy.

I won't be fighting enemies head on until these methods prove ineffective, because why waste time and energy on cannon fodder class enemies??

And with my senses and range I would be precise everytime.

Taking our briefcases with us we all moved to the ground beta, everyone went to change while I was standing in the command room with All Might and a few other support staff.

I decided to prank All Might again, "All Might 'sensei'….."

"Yes Kira-shounen?"

"Do you perhaps have a small brother??"

He frowned as he asked "Why would you ask that queston Kira-kun??"

"Nothing, I have seen a man like you around the campus many times, the only difference is that he looks like a skeleton version of you…."

*cough**cough*

Almost instantly he coughed in a dramatic way, his reactions every time were priceless, and in this all might form, they were even more exaggerated.

"Well, never mind…" I said as I looked towards the entrance of the room.

People were back after changing, everyone had almost same costumes as they had in anime, only ones who had a change were Izuku, Bakugo and Momo.

Izuku did not wear that green monstrosity of the costume which looked just a bit better than Gai's green spandex.

He wore a grey color skin tight fabric with light armor around chest and back, a utility belt around the waist, that gas mask thing that he had in anime with boots and gauntlets.

Bakugo had almost the same costume but the two grenade things he had were not here this time, because he had explosion energy as quirk, his sweat was not nitroglycerin, so instead this time he had special boot and gauntlets that I think would help him use his explosion energy to become more powerful in close combat.

And lastly Momo, she didn't wore a leotard this time, this time she wore a sports bra along with mini skirt, this looked way more better than her revealing costume she had in anime, along with that she now also had her back uncovered which gave more area then that costume.

As everyone arrived, Tetsu looked at me and said "Hey, Kira…. Why don't you have your costume on??"

"I do have it on…." I said as I let my symbiot cover me in passive state, in this state it consumed almost no energy and only when my instincts and senses detect something even a little hazardous, it uses energy and goes battle mode.

Everybody's eyes widened as they saw the symbiot cover me.

"That was so cool!!!" Kirishima blurted out.

All of them unknowingly nodded in that moment.

"What was that??" All Might asked with a frown on his face.

"It's my second quirk, it covers me as a defensive armour, though it uses a lot of stamina in battle mode" I said while saying as little about it as possible.

All Might nodded as he gave a small speech on how usage of quirks was more important to boost the morale.

He then continues to explain the trial.

"You guys would be divided in teams of two, the scenario would be that heroes have secured a special man who has crucial information with him, and villains would want to retrieve that person or kill him to stop that information leak"

"Heroes would have to defend the person along with themselves for five minutes, Villains have to retrieve or kill the person in five minutes for which they will have four minions to do that"

The minions and hostage in the scenario were humanoid robots which took certain commands.

After all might explained this, he inputted the roll numbers in random pair generator as pairs were revealed…..
