36 Chapter 32

TITLE: Pikachu mode?

"Huuuaaaaaa…"

Sora yawned as he walked past the U.A gates, for the first time in a while, he had gotten a good night's rest.

"Yo Menhera"

Sora's ears perked up as he looked behind, his eyes fell on the yellow-haired boy and the first words that left his mouth were

"Pikachu…"

"Fuck you! My name is Denki, D-E-N-K-I"

"Oh sorry, it's a force of habit"

Sora said but Kaminari didn't buy any of it, he decided not to pursue it as he noticed Sora's expressionless face to which he asked

"Everything okay buddy?"

"Yeah am perfectly fine"

Sora answered without missing a beat before he began walking forward

"Hey wait up!"

Kaminari shouted as he rushed to his side and when he was close enough, they began chatting.

Soon they arrived at class and separated as they both headed to their locker.

As soon as Sora sat down, a shadow blocked the light arriving him. Looking up, his eyes met Hana's cyan eyes and he said

"Yo Hana"

"Wow, you greeted me today, are you really Sora?"

"Who Knows?"

Sora said flat which slightly surprised Hana but this lasted only a second as she smiled brightly and asked "so how are you today"

"Good, you?"

"Great!"

"Okay"

As Sora's voice fell, Hana finally noticed the coldness in his voice and as she looked at his expressionless face and hollow eyes, she knew something was wrong. Her heart ached as she noticed this and she asked

"Is everything alright Sora?"

"…Yeah"

Sora hesitated for a while before answering, he didn't want her to worry. Having been with her for a while, he easily understood her feelings for him but he couldn't reciprocate them, at least not yet.

Hana's mood dropped drastically upon hearing his answer, she knew he was lying, it was clear heck smelling in fact but what could she do? She couldn't force him to answer, she could only resign herself and hope that one day he'll open up to her.

"Yo Menhera, you okay?"

They were soon interrupted by the voices of their classmates, Sora turned his head and noticed the people looking at him and he gave a reassuring smile as he said

"Yeah"

But when the students saw the bangs beneath his eyes, his slightly white skin, and his hollow eyes, they knew he was lying but they didn't pry, it wasn't their place to ask him and they weren't close to that point.

Moments later,

Standing before a humongous gate were the 1A students, all might stood before them as he said

"It's been a while boys and girls, I hope you're in good spirits"

Immediately the students began recounting their experiences and all might smiled upon hearing them as he continued

"Right! So today, we'll mix in different elements of play. It's rescue training race"

Immediately the students voiced out the fact that it should be carried out in USJ but all might easily responded to them as he said USJ was for disaster rescue before he moved back to the race topic.

"This is training ground Gamma, here there are densely packed lanes which make it look more like a complex labyrinth. Now make four groups of five, so we can do the training, one group at a time"

"Here, I'll give a distress signal somewhere in the area and when I do, you all will start simultaneously from outside the limit. The aim is to see who can reach me first but do keep damage to the surroundings to the minimum"

He said the last part while pointing fingers at Bakugo who didn't like it at all.

With that, the students formed groups and Sora's group was quite interesting

Group C: Denki Kaminari, Toru Hagakure, Fumikage Tokoyami, Sora Menhera and Rikido Sato.

The first team moved to the field and by the end of the race, Midoriya was the winner as he didn't trip like in the canon.

Everyone was slightly surprised by his improvement and many praised him. The next team walked to the stage, Hana was part of the team and by the time it ended, Hana had won.

Sora was slightly surprised by this as he noticed her increased speed and strength, but he felt this wasn't all there was to her quirk.

With that, group B's turn was over and group C walked onto the stage, Sora was among them.

He looked at the complex structure before him and as soon as the signal sounded, Sora rushed in but as he flew, he noticed yellow light from an area and when he turned his eyes, he was slightly surprised by what he saw.

Gritting his teeth and dashing through the field was Kaminari. Through the internship, he had learned of a way to increase his speed but the technique was very dangerous and painful, he didn't like suffering but each time he thought of Sora, he felt he was too weak so gritting his teeth, he decided to learn the technique and throughout the internship, he honed this skill to the point he could use it for 5 minutes.

Kaminari looked up and noticed Sora's gaze, he smiled as he said "I'm gonna beat you"

Sora smirked at this as he said "try your luck"

With that, he increased his speed and Kaminari followed suit as he followed, they were almost at the same speed but Sora soon overtook Kaminari as he rushed towards all might.

Kaminari groaned as he realized he had reached his limit but he gritted his teeth as he decided to push himself, go plus ultra!

He activated his quirk and rushed forward, reaching all might at the same time as Sora as he stretched out his hand to touch all might as that signified he had won but Sora was a tad bit faster as he touched all might first thus he won first place and Kaminari came out second, the rest taking the other positions.

Walking out of the field, Sora looked at Kaminari and said

"Not bad Kaminari"

Kaminari smiled upon hearing this as he said "thanks"

"So what's the name of that skill?"

"I thought about it for a while and decided to call it…"

"Pikachu mode?"

"Nooo! It's Godspeed"

"Damn, Pikachu mode was better"

They continued to bicker and before they realized it, they had arrived with their friends and began discussing though Sora didn't talk much.

The following day,

"Morning class"

Aizawa said as he looked at his students before continuing

"Okay, summer break is fast approaching and I hope you understand you have no leeway to relax."

Immediately, the student's ears perked up as Aizawa announced

"We'll be going to a summer break forest camp"

"I knew it! Aw yeah"

"Truth or dares"

"Hot tubs"

"However, if you're to fail the final test exams, then you'll be stuck in school for remedial classes"

"Let's do our best!"

Sora sighed upon hearing this, the final exams had finally come meaning he'll soon fight a teacher, thinking thus far, he sighed yet again as he began planning how he'll prepare for the exam but he soon paused as he noticed Hana standing in front of him, immediately he asked

"Is something the matter?"

What did she want?

He wondered.
