(Three months later)

The appearance of Number 1 Hero, All Might in the city attracted all the media attention. There were bunch of rumors here and there about the reason why All Might appears inside the city and so on. But Kurayami didn't care that much about them.

There wasn't much to talk about during these two months other than the All Might appearance and the sludge villain incident. Of course, there have been some minor crimes, but they were swiftly handled by the Pro Heroes.

Besides attending school like usual, Kurayami put most of his focus on the quirk training in preparation for the Entrance Exam. He attended the Musutafu Private Middle School. His first impression of the school is very good, the school really strict when it comes to the quirk discrimination and bullying, not like the school that protagonist attend.

Obviously, there are some students who are inspired to become a hero, but only himself and two other people out of all the students who are brave enough to apply for U.A. High School which was a popular hero academy that has produced a lot of popular high ranking Pro Heroes. While the other students who wants to be a hero too decided to apply for other hero academies that have a slightly lower requirements.

(Four months later)

"Hahahaha finally! I made it!" Kurayami laughed madly while panting heavily. Right now, his body is covered in armor made of shadow with large round pauldrons and two large shields covering the arms. Two pairs of devils' horns protrude from his head through the enclosed helm. His hair hangs loose and wild out of the back of the helm. A spiked dog collar with a chain made out of shadows can be seen hanging around his neck.

The area around him can only be described as total destruction. The trees were destroyed and there were many different shapes of craters on the ground everywhere showing the result of his training.

"Fuuu... luckily no one wants to come to a place like this these days." Kurayami said as he dissolved his technique and plopped down on the ground. He took out a bottle of water from his shadow and proceeded to drink it all at once.

Kurayami was now in a forest far away from the city. He used to come here every weekend to practice his quirk, especially his destructive techniques. He didn't want to destroy his house. Naturally, he also didn't want people to know the training he was doing, so he went to the forest in the middle of the nowhere to training instead.

The forest here is also dense with various shapes and sizes of trees and plants. Needless to say, it was a perfect place for him to train his high speed movements and reaction speed. He will come here and start running around the forest at his maximum speed and try to avoid crashing into trees as much as possible.

It's freaking hurt at first, but he could now confidently say that the training was working just as he had imagined. He can now easily run around the dense forest at maximum speed easily without crashing into any trees at all.

"Finally, I have mastered all four Shadow Devil Mode transformation. I also managed to master one of the combinations as well. But, the stamina consumption for the combination mode is huge, I can only last for about 15 minutes in the combination mode. I guess I will have to increase my stamina before trying another combination for the time being." Kurayami muttered while unconsciously looking up at the sky.

Shadow Devil Mode or it's original name was Devil Union Mode. Kurayami didn't host any kind of devils inside him, so he really couldn't say the 'Union' part, that's why he changed the name of the technique. Even though he wasn't a devil host, that didn't mean he couldn't mimic their abilities.

He worked hard to complete all four Shadow Devil Mode transformations. Finally after 5 years, he managed to master them just in time before the U.A. Entrance Exam. All four transformations he recreated are almost identical to the original except for one:

[Shadow Devil Mode: Canis] is basically a balance type mode with the additional clones ability.

[Shadow Devil Mode: Equus] is a tank mode that greatly enhances his physical defense to a high degree while lowering his mobility.

[Shadow Devil Mode: Felis] is a speed mode, he abandons his defenses in return for high physical speed, allowing him to dodge fast attacks. He also managed to replicate the second ability that allowed him to peer through shadows. But the headache he would experience after using that ability was very heavy and troublesome. The first time he managed to use the ability, he immediately passed out due to the feedback he received.

[Shadow Devil Mode: Corvus] is a flight mode. For the original mode, he doesn't know the inner workings of the ability (a loud crowing sound that momentarily paralyzes those who hear it). His quirk was about manipulating shadows so he was a bit confused about the loud crowing part. After nearly an hour of brainstorming, he decided to rename the technique, make some changes to the wings and managed to gain the ability to fly while in this mode.

(Note: What a load of bullshit skill explanation, but who the heck care, I'm writing this for fun anyway xD)

"Hmmm... time to go home I guess." Kurayami said as he slipped into the shadows and headed home. He needs a shower and a healthy meal after a long training session.

(Two months later)

There was nothing worth mentioning in these two months except that he had started his katana training. The progress wasn't that good or bad, it was just that he didn't put that much effort into his katana training. He puts most of his focus on basic things like the manipulation and creation of his shadows. Basics are important after all.

Besides, using a katana as a weapon while being a hero is kind of a red flag to some people. He would probably use the katana as a last resort or in a dire situations like when his opponents are either Nomus or a villain that already fallen deep inside the rabbit hole.

The idea of making a new mode based on a katana or blade also came to his mind, but he decided to try it after he entered the U.A.

(A month before the exam)

Kurayami decided to take it easy for the rest of this month, he had been non-stop training for almost nine months, he has his limit too.

"Hmmm... as I thought, places like this are usually crowded with teenagers." Kurayami muttered as he entered the new arcade he last saw during the sludge villain incident.

He didn't have the luxury of entering a place like this in his previous life so he thought, he might as well try to enter a place like this at least once, he did plan to enjoy this new second life after all.

So he wandered around the arcade, tried some games like the classic shooting zombies, racing games and some fighting games too.

'Well, this is pretty fun, I won't lie, I might visit this place once in a while on my days off.' Kurayami thought as he tried to get a hero plushie from the crane claw machine.

'Cute.' Kurayami thought as he squeezed the miniature Midnight plushie in his hand a few times.

"Well, that's enough fun for today." said Kurayami as he put the plushie he won inside his shadow and decided to go home. He need to study and review his homework.

'Should I go and see what happened with All Might and the protagonist..? Hmmm, maybe I can prank them a little bit... Nah~ I'll just spy on them on the last day, I can't miss the chance to witness the legendary 'eat this' scene live. I definitely need to film that scene though. Not only that, I can show the video to others after they know about the secret of AFO and OFA. It will be super hilarious.' Kurayami thought as he walked out of the arcade.

Bruh.

(The exam day, early in the morning)

[Dagobah Beach]

-Izuku Midoriya P.O.V-

'This is it... the moment I've been waiting for. After 10 months of intense training, I was finally able to take steps to become a hero, just like you.' Midoriya thought as he looked at his idol, All Might in front of him.

Finally, after giving Midoriya some advices and words of encouragement, All Might pull out a strand of hair.

"This is power that you earned because of your own effort. Be proud of yourself, Young Midoriya." All Might said as his hand that holding his hair slowly moved towards Midoriya.

Midoriya was confused by the gesture but his face immediately filled with determination thinking about his future after receiving the OFA.

But then...

"EAT THIS." said All Might with the most serious face he had ever shown.

"Huh..?"

"Well, it doesn't really matter what it is, as long as you take in my DNA." replied All Might sheepishly seeing the super confused face that Midoriya have.

"It's too different from what I imagined!!" He immediately retort All Might.

So where is Kurayami?

-Mc P.O.V-

"Well, these guys sure make a quite pair of comedians. Yeah, a pair of wholesome comedians" Kurayami said as he holding his phone while recording the whole event that transpired just now.

Right now, Kurayami is sitting on the top of the highest pile of trash while gazing at the duo down below.

"Luckily, this world's technology development is very advance. The video is very clear and good even after I zoomed in from this far distances." Kurayami murmur as he sweat drop looking at All Might and Midoriya little argument about the way OFA transferred.

After he finishes recording the duo. He put his phone back in his pocket and gazed at the spectacular view in front of him for a while.

"Well, my work here is done. Heh, I guess I'll see you at U.A. then." He continued as he gazed at Midoriya and slipped into his shadow slowly. He need to prepare for the entrance exam.

"Sigh, there goes my peaceful times." He said one last time before his body fully slipped into the shadow.
