1 Enter the quirkless optamist
We live in supernatural society. Around 10 years ago a kid was able to do something science could not explain. Later, all over the world, people were able to do amazing things. These abilities were given a name. Quirks. Today 80% of the population has a quirk. Some people used these quirks for bad things, so a new profession came to be. Heroes. Our streets began to look like things in a comic book. And with heroes, one stood at the very top. All Might. All might be known as the symbol of peace. I looked up to him. I wanted to be a hero, just like All Might, but, "It's not gonna happen. Most people with quirks have only one joint in there pinky toe, Izuku has 2. He won't get a quirk." Said the doctor. After I heard that I thought that it was impossible, but I did not give up. No. Not in this story. I decided to stop crying. To stop thinking that I could not do it. I began to train. I trained as hard as I could. And then one day…
"Middle school is ganna end soon so you all should start thinking about high school. I was gonna pass out these registration forms, but… I know you all want to be heroes." said the teacher. There was one school I wanted to go to and that was U.A high, the top hero course high school.
"I going to U.A high so all you lowlifes stay out of my way" shouted Kaski bakugo, the class bully. I had once been friends with bakugo but once he got his quirk he became a meaner person. Then one kid called out, "Hey, doesn't Izuku want to go to U.A as well." I stared right back at him and said confidently,
"Yes. Yes, I do." The other kids started cracking up. "But you don't even have a quirk" shouted one of them. "I will try, and if I fail then at least I tried," I said back to him smiling. "Out of my way Deku, I am going to be the only one from this trash of a school to get into U. A" said Bakugo as he stood up. Bakugo gave me a nickname back in preschool. Deku. He meant it as useless. I took it as "you can try". I had also given him a nickname. Kachan. "Wrong." I said like I was a game show host."Punk" he murmured and sat back down.
After school ended I was on my way to head out when Baguko grabbed my notebook. This was not just some average notebook. It was my hero analysis notebook. I collected data on heroes so that I could learn from them. That book had everything on everyone's quirks.
"OI, Deku" he said smirking with to others next to him. I had known Bakugo since pre-school. He was the type who would use force.
I quickly got behind him and chopped his neck knocking him out cold. The other 2 backed off. I took my notebook and walked away. But I know what your thinking, how did a quirkiness kid just knock out a kid with a quirk, and scare off 2 others. The answer is simple. After I heard that I would not get a quirk, I worked hard every day and learned multiple types of martial arts. I know every vital In the body, and I could take down a low-class villain if I was ever in that situation. I took my notebook and walked away.
I began to walk home, using the daily route, but today some villain attack was going on so I took the long way.
After about 5 minutes of walking, I walked under a tunnel. It was a short tunnel that was only 15 meters. Studently something was coming out of the sewing under the tunnel. It was a villain made of sludge. I was about to scream when it quickly got on to my mouth. "If I had known that that hero was in town I would not of came here" mummer the sludge monster. I assumed his quirk must have been able to turn him into sludge and let him travel into people and manipulate them. Perfect villain quirk. "Hey kid," said the sludge monster to me, "thanks for giving me a nice vessel to poses. You a real hero to me."
I could not breathe. Since I trained, I could hold my breath for around five minutes. I continued to fight it for four minutes when all of the sudden, "Its ok strong citizen, now that I AM HERE." said a mysteries man.
"DETROIT SMASH." he said as he let out a giant gust of wind, knocking me and the monster out. About a minute later I woke up to him smacking my face gently. I got a good look at him and was shocked. This was no ordinary hero, this was all might, the symbol of peace and #1 hero. "Oh my gosh, All might, I am your biggest fan. Can you please sign my notebook?" I asked I looked in it and it had already been signed. "What about the monster," I asked. "I got captured on this water bottle," he said, "Whelp I will be on my way now." "Wait," I said. "See ya," he said and jumped off. I don't know why but I clung on to his leg as he jumped off. All might was a hero who used his strength to overwhelm his opponents. His quirk is still a huge mystery. As he was flying upwards I started to talk. "Uh, All might?" I said. He looked down and was shocked to see me hanging on. "One second," he said. "Crap" he whispered to himself. "what," I said confused. "Oh nothing," he said while laughing. We landed on a rooftop. "that was very dangerous of you" he said. "Sorry," I said, "there's just something I need to ask you." "Fine. What is it" he said. I turned around and started to talk. "I was born qurirkless, with nothing. I got picked on all the time, but I didn't let that stop me. So I have to know. Can I be a hero even without a quirk." then I heard a "poof" sound, and turned around to see a timid skinny guy. The exact opposite of All might. "Were did All might go" I said sadly. "OI," the skinny man said "I'm right here. It's me All might." "Lies" I shouted. "It's the truth," he said. I could tell he wasn't lying. "Here's the truth," he said "Now don't go posting this on social media or whatever. In a fight 3 years ago, my reparatory system was damaged." "you mean the fight with toxic chain saw?" I asked. "You know your stuff, but no. this was a fight that was not released to the public. The results of getting my system damaged are that I can only do hero work for 3 hours a day. After those 3 hours, I look like this for the rest of the day. " All might be explained. "And to answer your previous question. Can you be a hero, not without a quirk." He said.
