The First Game

"There they are! The ones who fought the evil alliance and came out alive! They are our stars for today! From the Hero Course, The Students Of Class 1-A!!"

These were the words of Teacher Yamada, who plays the role of commentator, and next to him sits Teacher Aizawa, who said after placing his bandaged hand on his ear;

"You don't need to rip out my eardrums."

*Yeeeeaaaaah!!!*

The crowd's screams rose as they saw students entering through different doors, not only Class 1-A, but many other classes, a total of 11 classes from four different courses.

They were all walking towards the middle of the arena, where the person who would be assigned to act as referee in this sports festival, Midnight, was located.

After the students gathered around the platform on which Midnight was standing, she raised her hand after a wide smile appeared on her face, and said at a time when the audience was burning with enthusiasm;

"After hearing all these enthusiastic cheers, I can no longer prolong the introduction. That's why I'm asking the one with the best score on the Hero Course Entrance Exam to come forward and give the opening remarks. Step up to the podium now, Bakugo Katsuki!"

The students of Class 1-A were surprised to know that the person who would be giving the opening remarks is Bakugo, who literally began walking confidently towards the podium while placing his hands in his pants pockets.

As he walked, Kirishima said in a calm tone;

"Bakugo? Are you sure this is a safe and appropriate option?"

The yellow-haired Kaminari looked at Kirishima and replied;

"Of course not. He is the worst person who could speak at such a critical time."

Most of the students were able to hear this short exchange because the hall was filled with silence, as the crowd waited for Bakugo to arrive on stage. Meanwhile, Fulan said in a calm tone while looking at Bakugo, who was walking with confident steps;

"Why is he the worst choice? Isn't he the person who got the best grade on the entrance exam? You should all be proud that a talented person like him is studying in the same class with you and you should follow his example and try to catch up with him, not criticize him."

Both Kaminari and Kirishima were looking calmly at Fulan, whose line of sight was limited to Bakugo. After a very short silence, Midoriya, who was standing behind Fulan on his left side, said;

"Fulan-kun, none of us deny Kacchan's talent and that he deserves the 1st rank in the entrance exam. However, Kacchan's personality is a problem that cannot be ignored. He is now without a doubt going to cause problems for us with the other classes__."

Immediately after Midoriya said those words, Bakugo said through the microphone;

"Sensei, I swear to be the winner."

The place was silent and quiet for a few seconds because of those unexpected words, then the students from the other classes started screaming and expressing how upset they were because of those careless words.

Which made Fulan look right and left, as he heard the many criticisms while Bakugo walked back to his place very calmly;

"Class 1-A! You're arrogant as always!"

"When will you understand that you are not better than us!"

"Don't be arrogant just because you faced the villains before us!"

Fulan was hearing dozens of phrases, and he was unable to comprehend the situation and understand what was happening. While he was confused, Bakugo, who was returning to his place, stopped next to Fulan and said in a serious tone without looking at him, as he merely looked his way;

"Hey stranger, I don't need you to defend me from people's conversations and sayings behind my back, and I don't want anyone to follow my example, because I will be number one, and I will not allow anyone to be like me."

His words were proof that he heard Fulan while he was defending him, then Bakugo walked away after he said these words with calm features, leaving Fulan standing in his place, who was listening to the noise of the other students criticizing Bakugo and the students of Class 1-A.

"You did this on purpose right? Because of you, they now hate us more." Kirishima said these words after Bakugo passed by him, and the latter responded immediately;

"It doesn't matter, as long as I'm at the top, then it doesn't matter..."

The students of Class 1-A, including Fulan, kept looking at Bakugo calmly. At that same moment, Teacher Midnight said;

"It seems to me that you have a lot of vitality, that's good! Why don't we use this vitality in our first game?! Do you agree, audience!!"

[ The First Game ~ Obstacle Race ]

The voices of the crowd in the field rose. This happened simultaneously with the appearance of the phrase "Obstacle Race" on the huge electronic screen, and Midnight added to her speech;

"Pay attention, students, only 42 of you will qualify for the second stage! The obstacle race is a circular field filled with many obstacles, and the gate from which the race will start is the same gate where the race will end. Meaning, you will be running around the academy campus! Come on, come on, move forward towards that gate, getting a place at the front is more important than you can imagine!"

Soon the students began walking, jogging, and then running in order to reach the gateway.

The sports festival, the first game, has begun...
