May I have a chance too?

"Okay, let's continue talking about the UA Sports Festival..."

These were the words that Teacher Aizawa spoke as he looked at the students. This happened after Iida left the classroom in order to bring an extra table for the transfer student who named Fulan.

When the purple-haired boy, Fulan, with the same color eyes heard those words, he quickly remembered many exciting events.

UA sports festival is a television program that is broadcast throughout Japan, and all Japanese people know and watch this program every year. Full of games and challenges, as well as exciting fights.

Before Fulan could delve deeper into his thoughts, Teacher Aizawa added to his speech;

"There is only one week left until the festival, and as I previously told you, it is your chance to shine. Most of the professional heroes are watching the UA sport festival, and all the spotlight is on the new students. To them, you are like boxes of surprises. Heroes agencies will snatch you up if you have enough talent."

Fulan had just entered the classroom, but he heard something interesting.

UA Academy Festival, a huge event that generates a lot of media buzz every year, now Fulan has the opportunity to participate in it as well.

When this idea took hold in his mind, even he couldn't help but smile, as he smiled subconsciously and involuntarily.

But this smile had an effect that could be considered negative, as the students were all looking at Fulan, who was standing next to Teacher Aizawa, and he had that strange smile on his face.

Some of the students' reactions were similar, indifferent, because they also were excited to the sport festival. But Bakugou, who was looking at Fulan, gritted his teeth, thinking;

'Tch, why do I feel that there is great confidence emanating from that smile?"

Almost similar feelings were overwhelming Todoroki Shoto, who was thinking with a cold expression on his face;

''Am I imagining, or did this smile appear after he heard about the sports festival? He is bold enough to think about participating in it since he just joined the class.'

After a few seconds, Tenya Iida entered the classroom carrying a wooden table with a chair placed upside down on top of it. And when Fulan saw this, he quickly placed his hands on the table and tried to hold it, saying in a tone full of respect;

"Sorry for the inconvenience, I was supposed to carry it myself."

Tenya Iida refused to give the table to Fulan, as he started walking towards the back of the class, saying;

"What are you saying? You are now a member of the class, and since I am the class representative, I must handle this matter." Then he placed the table at the end of the row, behind Kirishima's seat, then added, smiling while looking at the face of Fulan, who was walking behind him;

"If you encounter any problems, be sure to come to me first."

Fulan smiled after hearing these words and shook his head once in agreement, then he grabbed the wooden chair that was above the table, put it on the ground and sat down while Iida returned to his seat.

After this, Teacher Aizawa began talking about the details of the sports festival and explaining to the students everything they needed to know about that festival.

During Teacher Aizawa's long speech, Fulan could not contain his feeling of excitement, as he wanted to make sure whether he would have the opportunity to participate as well, considering that he had become part of the class, for this reason he raised his hand and said, trying to remove the doubts from his mind;

"Sensei, may I also participate?"

All the students looked at Fulan, who was sitting in the last seat, thinking that it was a strange question, as the natural answer should be "yes" since he's now one of the students of this class.

But Teacher Aizawa's answer was unexpected, as he said in a calm tone;

"All students have the right to participate in the Sports Festival, including students from classes that do not belong to the Heroes courses. But when we talk about a student who transferred to UA Academy one week before the Festival, the matter may seem strange."

These words made Fulan feel a little frustrated since he might be banned from participating in the festival, but Teacher Aizawa added, trying to cheer him up;

"Anyway, there will be a meeting at the end of the week between the teachers and the principal to prepare the program for the sports festival and plan the competitions. I will suggest your name in that meeting, and if most of the teachers agree to allow you to participate in the festival, then there will be no problem."

It seems that the answer that Fulan was waiting for was not this, but he had no choice but to accept this answer and wait for the result of the vote that will take place at the end of the week.

Calm features dominated Fulan's face after hearing those words that came out of Aizawa's mouth, but Kirishima, who was sitting in the seat in front of him, noticed that those features carried a kind of frustration. That's why he smiled and said in a low tone, addressing Fulan;

"Don't worry, the teachers at UA Academy are more open than you expect. They will unanimously approve of your participation in the festival."

Those simple words made Fulan smile and respond in a calm tone;

"Maybe you're right, thanks."

Kirishima quickly extended his hand to Fulan and said;

"By the way, I'm Kirishima."

"Fulan Nanaimo," Fulan replied after shaking Kirishima's hand with a smile.

After that, teacher Aizawa finished talking about the sports festival and began explaining some other lessons.

The week that separates the students from the sports festival passed normally, just educational lessons and without undergoing any training in the academy. Of course, some students were secretly training in preparation for the festival, but the academy's curriculum did not include any training in preparation for the festival.

For this reason, Fulan spent his time calmly, from home to the academy and back to home again, a normal routine and a quiet week in which his relation with his classmates did not develop, meaning they were still strangers to each other.
