"Dammit"

Those motherfuckers just took my remaining money.

I'm a college dropout. Not very proud of it but it's my life. My parents just abandoned me and disappeared when they amassed a large debt. Luckily the guy that my parents got a debt with didn't pressure me and extorted me as I wasn't even the one that has a debt with him. He just said that he'll find my parents and to settle their debt and offered me a job to keep myself alive.

But because my parents left with all the money we saved up for college, I was left with no way to pay for the stupidly expensive tuition and was forced to drop out.

Back to the current situation, I'm covered in bruises, wounds, and blood. Damn gangsters cornered me in an alley and stole everything I had.

Really wish I had those superpowers or quirks in that anime I've watched. It had an interesting story where everyone had special abilities. I'd give everything to get a quirk, not that I even have anything on me right now.

At that moment I died. It was fast, I didn't even notice the bolt of lighting that came crashing down on me. I didn't feel any pain.

Next thing I knew I was floating in a black void. A book right in front of me, glowing. It looked very ancient and scribbled with writing that I can't understand.

I flipped through it casually, curious that it may tell something why I'm in this place.

The booked then shook violently and flipped its pages to a single page right it the middle of it. It was still scribbled in that incomprehensible language.

Now I don't know if I'm being dyslexic, but the letters changed. It sort of 'danced', each stroke of each letter swapped and turned. Some new lines appeared and some disappeared. Until it finally stopped into something I can read, english.

That incomprehensible language just transformed into english. I tried to flip to other pages if the words also change but the book wouldn't let me. I couldn't flip the pages, it was like it was glued together, leaving the current page open.

All that's left was one phrase on the left page: "Choose your quirk" with the right page blank. Then a quill manifested in front of me, glowing just like the book. I suppose I'm supposed to write down a quirk I want on the right side.

I wrote down the quirk I wanted: "Psychic". I didn't make it overly specific. Something I learned from all the fiction I've watched and read, the more vague the description is, the more broader and powerful it is.

After I finished writing, the words transformed back into those scribbles including the word I wrote. And then I lost consciousness as a beam of light shot from the distance and covered me entirely, seemingly pulling me in.

Huh?!

A bright light. Hands holding me tight. A cloth covering me.

Am I a baby?!?! And is this my mother and father? So I just got reincarnated like in those isekai novels.

Hearing them talk, I could hear japanese. I can't understand what they're talking about. I never had the chance to learn japanese so maybe I'll learn it here as I grow.

4 years later and I'm living a very good life. My parents are great people. They named me "Takeo", and my surname is "Mikami". Right now I'm in kindergarten. My parents and I live in Osaka. My mom's quirk is being able to push things with her mind, but it's limited to the size of furniture like tables and such. My dad's quirk is limited telepathy, he can read minds but only surface thoughts, he can't read memories but he can talk to someone in his mind no matter how far they are.

From the looks of it my parents have psychic quirks so I'm looking forward to what I'm going to get. I'm at the minimum age needed for one to manifest a quirk. I don't expect to get one right now at the age of four, I'm guessing maybe next year when I'm 5 but it's wouldn't hurt to manifest it this year.

Currently in school, doing a recreational activity where we hold hands with each other and we circle around while singing a nursery rhyme about friendship. This is making me cringe so much as a former adult but I have to do this so I wouldn't make anyone suspicious.

My head hurts... so much... what is this...

I suddenly had this unbearable headache. It felt like my head was going to explode and I felt something enter my brain. It flowed in like a river and it wouldn't stop.

I couldn't take the pain and collapsed into a fetal position while holding my head. It just kept getting worse and worse. The pain muffled out the words from my classmates and our teacher. I know that they were being worried but I couldn't really understand what they were saying, all of my focus was the pain in my head. I've had severe migraines in my past life but you can't compare those to what I'm experiencing right now.

I don't know what's happening. I just want it to go away.

As the kid in a certain kindergarten in Osaka fell down in pain, the people surrounding him were incredibly worried. Some of the staff of the school thought it might be a quirk manifesting, and they were right. But what they didn't know that it would end lives.

The black haired child just stayed in his fetal position. Their teacher, naturally called for an ambulance.

A few minutes later and the ambulance arrived. The doctors inside came out and rushed inside the school where they saw the child wincing, crying, and screaming is unbearable pain. They ran towards him to try to at least relieve the pain he's experiencing, they knew it was a quirk manifesting but they believed that no child deserved to experience this.

They reached the child and they reached out to carry him and put him on the stretcher.

But the moment one of them touched him on the arm, the doctor's hand exploded. Blood and flesh everywhere.The doctor couldn't speak or react from the sudden shock.

One of the doctors accompanying him immediately wrapped a cloth on his friend's stump where his hand once was.

The children on the scene were crying and some of them even fainted from the sight of something gory.

The child, meanwhile opened his black eyes and it started glowing an electric violet light. An aura of the same color at the same time covered his body. The air surrounding swirled violently.

He started to float, he seems to have no control over his body and what he's doing. His body now stood upright. The people that were near him were blown back and was injured, the children that were included, unfortunately died.

The child continued to levitate higher and higher while the air surrounding him continued to become more and more violent and grew in size. The people that were fortunately not affected by what happened earlier tried to rescue the injured people and recovered the bodies of the few children that died. They had to evacuate from the place unless they have a death wish.

It continued to grow stronger and bigger. The buildings around were being picked up and thrown around by the massive telekinetic storm. Casualties piled up one by one as children, women, and men died. Crushed by flying debris, bodies exploding randomly, blown back by something powerful and dying from the impact, no one was spared.

A figure wearing blue clothes with white and red streaks, yellow-golden hair flowing in the wind was seen "flying" in the air. It was the world's number 1 hero: All Might. He's come to stop whatever was causing this calamity.

At first he thought it was a a villain, but the second he heard that it was a mere child awakening his quirk that was causing this, he immediately rushed out to save this child. He believed that the child is not in the fault and he has to save him from himself.

As he arrived at the scene he saw something that could only be described as monstrous. Purple lighting struck everywhere, originating from a giant swirling tornado. Bodies of unfortunate souls littered everywhere. The remaining citizens were already evacuated from the area, including the boy's parents.

Seeing that he has to act now, the hero jump towards the center of the tornado, obliterating the obstacles that stood in his trajectory, cars, buildings, furniture, etc.

Soon, he arrived inside the storm. There he saw a small child, crying, and visibly in pain.

He knew he had to act quickly. He can't fly and he's soon about to fall to the ground. Reorienting his body in the opposite direction he shouted. "NEW HAMPSHIRE SMAAASH!!!"

He accelerated towards the kid as he reoriented himself again to face him. As he arrived near him he felt searing pain in his body, threatening to rip him apart.

He moved swiftly and hand chopped the kid at the back of his neck, careful not to break his neck and only render him unconscious.

It worked and the kid limped and was about to fall down. All Might caught him and landed, holding the poor child in his arms.

The storm stopped and everything it was flinging around fell down. It rained rocks, concrete, wood, and metal.

Seeing this, All Might hugged the child knelt down, shielding him from all the debri. His injury starting to hurt him and deactivate his muscle form, but he held on. He has to protect the child.

The next day, everything that happened was on the news. How the child caused the calamity from his quirk manifesting, how thousands died, and how All Might stopped him and saved him as well.

Everyone that was watching had mixed feelings and opinions. Some were pitying the child, they knew it wasn't his fault and he couldn't have done anything. Some were being neutral and was indifferent. But the majority looked at the child named Takeo with remorse and hatred. They thought that he was a demon, a killer, a future villain. They wanted him locked up, they didn't care that he was just a small kid. Some even wanted him to die.

The child parents however, knew that their son is a good kid and wouldn't kill anyone intentionally. They didn't listen to their "friends" that told them that their son was a demon. They didn't listen to all the hatred and remorse. Takeo is their son, even if he is a monster, he's still their son. They'll accept him for whoever he is.

Takeo was confined in a specialized hospital in Tokyo. Experts continually monitored him for any abnormalities, to prevent the incident from happening again, and if it did, they would be ready.

All Might also visited frequently. He saw talent in Takeo, he knows that he can wield his power for good and prove the masses wrong.

His parents kept thanking the #1 hero for saving their son. They were extremely thankful that All Might didn't view him as a demon like the others.

...

Months passed. The child is still in a comatose state. Monitored by experts day and night and his parents sleeping by his side.

And then, he woke up. He opened his eyes. Everything he's done, all that he has killed he remembers. It pains him, not physically, but emotionally. The burden of being a murderer weighed down on him.

He cried, and cried and cried. His parents heard him and they woke up. They didn't say anything and just hugged him. Glad their son is alive and well.
