18 Chapter 17: Formal Introduction With The Yakuza

5 minutes before the explosion

Shin was standing on the building with the other three gazing down at the gangsters huddling up getting ready to raid the warehouse through their combined efforts.

"Start preparing Dabi." Shin chuckled at how perfectly gathered they were knowing it would only take one good attack to wipe them out, Atsuhiro shook his head twirling his cane while Inasa sat on the ledge building curiously not understanding what was about to happen.

Understanding Shin's intentions, Dabi held his hands up as a ball of light formed above his head before condensing and expanding again, repeating the action constantly.

The sudden light source caused the gangsters to notice seeing a blue light start to shine down upon them, the attention shifted to the source before their eyes witnessed a giant blue sun hovering in the air condensing and expanding rapidly.

"THERE'S SOMEONE ON THE ROOF EVERYONE FIRE!" The head gangster yelled pointing at the four silhouettes.

Shin immediately held up a hand as a large yellow barrier formed around all gangsters suddenly trapping them.

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

"Dabi take your time, make sure the attack incinerates them all." Shin had no trouble holding the barrier as it consumed stamina and he had an infinite amount of that and judging by their power he doubted they could break it.

"It's the eight bullets!" someone shouted seeing the familiar quirk.

"But there's only four!" Another shouted pointing out only four people.

"Shut the fuck up and break the fucking barrier!" The leader urgently ordered watching the deadly sun become increasingly blinding, filling him with more and more anxiety at every second he watched it.

They started to shout and giving orders while Shin just yawned at the gangsters futile efforts, Inasa was about to turn away before Shin jerked his head forward.

"You said you were ready, so don't look away or close your eyes." Shin told him and Inasa hesitated before reluctantly nodding his head, turning his full attention to the men trying to break away from the looming death.

"They should've stayed in their fishbowl; the ocean isn't a place for a mere goldfish." Atsuhiro sighed, shaking his head.

"Shin, I'm ready."

"Alright." Shin opened the top of the barrier much to the shock of the gangsters.

"STOP DO YOU KNOW WHO YOUR MESSING WITH!" The man shouted at the four.

"Incinerate them Dabi." Shin ordered not even bothering to answer and Dabi nodded, making a throwing motion with his hands.

The blue sun moved forward at a turtle's pace yet it was inevitable, the men stopped trying to resist and just looked up at their impending death as their retinas started to burn.

"Wait do you know who we ar-"

*BOOOM*

Shin closed the barrier around the sun as it collided with the ground, nothing was spared as the flames quickly devoured anything and everything in the enclosed barrier, the gangsters could only scream while hoping death would finally grace them to relieve them of this torture.

The barrier all of a sudden started to crack, surprising Shin forcing him to hold up both his hands to control the power distribution properly.

'He must have been training hard.' Shin had been impressed by how destructive Dabi's flames had become, and gave him a thumbs up for encouragement.

While the three were nonchalant about the mass death transpiring, Inasa eyes shook at unprecedented speeds seeing human life cease to exist in a matter of seconds.

The sight of seeing two hundred people screaming in agony while begging for mercy filled him with enormous amounts of fear yet he couldn't turn away no matter how hard he tried.

The light simmered down showing that the flames had cremated everything inside the barrier only leaving a massive dent in the ground.

Shin released the barrier as the smoke from the scorched and simmering ground finally rose up into the sky.

Shin changed his appearance growing two feet before changing his hair and eyes to brown, however he kept his facial structure while putting on a black face mask.

Hoping down from the building everyone except Inasa followed, Shin didn't have time to soothe the distraught kid as he had business to attend to.

Floating to the door of the warehouse it immediately opened showing a man dressed in a suit with a scar.

"The Yakuza thanks you for your help!" The man bowed 90 degrees while shouting respectively.

"THANK YOU!" The other yakuza bowed, copying their boss's actions.

The boss seeing the carnage didn't hesitate to welcome this person, it didn't matter if they were against them or not, the only thing he could do was hope they meant no harm while welcoming them.

"It's no problem." Shin replied, copying the voice from earlier causing the man to flinch from recognizing the voice.

"Please come in." The boss offered still not daring to raise his head.

"Thank you for your hospitality." Shin respectively returned the verbal gesture while stopping Atsuhiro.

"Check for rats." Shin ordered and Atsuhiro smiled.

"Of course." Atsuhiro bowed, walking to the side.

Walking in with only Dabi, they were escorted to a table where the higher ups or important members sat when they visited.

They dare not say a word to Shin unless addressed first, they served them the best tea they had under the boss's orders trying to make his arrival as comfortable as possible so as not to induce his wrath.

"I would like to thank you again for helping us, it is rude of me to not introduce myself. I am Asahi, the leader of the 13th division." Asahi bowed again.

"Asahi, let's skip introductions and get to the reason why I'm here." Shin intertwined his fingers leaning forward.

"Yes of course." Asashi aggressively shook his head as sweat fell from his forehead.

"Who are you under?" Shin asked, already knowing the answer.

"The head of the Yakuza himself the oyabun-"

"Great, this will make things easier." Shin nodded, showing a wide smile.

"I have a proposal for the Yakuza that will save and push them to greater heights, please tell the head if he wishes to meet and listen to my proposition then paint a single red stripe on the warehouse door." Shin instructed and the boss took out a pen and paper while vigorously writing everything Shin said.

"Red stripe?"

"Yes and if you disagree then a blue strip, thank you for hearing me out." Shin then stood up suddenly along with Dabi.

"Wait ho-"

"We'll contact you." Shin didn't let the man finish and walked out of the door.

The head of the Yakuza was desperate and Shin knew it, and what he needed was to be in a close quarters space with only the head to start his plan to completely absorb the Yakuza.

Shin wanted the Yakuza since establishing his own gang would require him to build a capable force and notoriety which was time consuming.

Notoriety was the biggest aspect that made Shin want the Yakuza since everyone, even across the whole world knew of the Yakuza.

If for some reason the head rejected his request then he would just come back to this warehouse, read Asashi's memories, and then find the head and forcefully take over but Shin wanted to be courteous since this plan required a lot more effort.

Walking out he saw Atsuhiro doing a show for the gangsters who were nervously clapping at every reveal not wanting to upset him.

"Ah! It looks like my time is up! I am Mr. Compress and thank you again for attending my show!" Atsuhiro bowed, savoring the applause.

"How many rats?" Shin bluntly asked to which Atsuhiro revealed three marbles in his hand.

"Three people were trying to weasel themselves backstage but I apprehended them." Atsuhiro chuckled and Shin nodded.

"I only need one, dispose of the other two." Atsuhiro nodded at his words, dropping the two marbles on the ground before stomping on them.

A red fluid burst out from his force under the horror of the Yakuza, Atsuhiro frowned under his mask at the mess and used a handkerchief to clean the bottom of his shoe and after he finished tossed the handkerchief on the mess following Shin.

*Snap*

"Thank you once again and I do apologize about the mess on stage." When his fingers snapped, the area formerly covered enlarged showing the gruesome fate of the two squished bodies with the bloody handkerchief resting quietly on top.

The boss came out and a heavy expression encompassed his face seeing the two bodies, they were definitely showing off their might since they would do the same in this sort of situation.

"Boss, what should we do!" A bald man anxiously ran up to him.

Every single Yakuza present was shaken to their core at what just transpired, recalling the sight of two hundred people the same amount that could wipe them out was utterly decimated from the wrath of three people in a matter of seconds.

"We can only contact oyabun for a clear and concise answer." Asashi pulled a cigarette out of his pocket before lighting it.

"May god help us all."

The three of them arrived at the abandoned building, everyone except Inasa was calm after he witnessed death for the first time.

"Atsuhiro." Atushiro understood and threw the marble on the floor while englaring the contents.

"W-what?" The man rubbed his head confused at what just transpired.

One moment he was scouting for potential side entrances, then he saw someone unfamiliar approach him so he attacked him, then he was suddenly wrapped around a blue like color, and the next he was here.

"Argh!" Immediately a forceful wind pushed him down to the ground feeling as if gravity had increased tremendously, his whole body was plastered to the ground with all his limbs sprawled out unable to get up.

"Kill him Inasa." Shin ordered and Inasa flinched.

"Is he a villain?" Inasa stuttered out asking for a just cause.

"Probably not." Shin shrugged, not wanting to give him a concise reason.

"P-Please I h-have a family!" The man shouted, reaching out hand and upon his cry Shin doubled the pressure.

Dabi yawned knowing it would come to this and strolled over to the table, Atsuhiro shook his head in a sad manner before joining Dabi.

"1,000 yen says the kid doesn't do it." Atushiro sat next to Dabi who shook his head.

"Shin won't let him leave unless he kills him or dies." Dabi shook his head, causing Atsuhiro to take off his mask while raising an eyebrow.

"He certainly woul-"

"Shin will 100% make the kid kill that man today or let the man kill him." Dabi interrupted him before he could finish.

"Why?"

"Where do you think Shin got the quirk that let him control wind?" Hearing this Atushiro understood to a certain extent.

"But he's only a child."

"So is Shin."

"You cannot compare a simple naive child to someone like Shin."

"True." Dabi agreed as he had never seen someone as young as Shin do the things that he did.

"The question still stands is to why-?" Atsuhiro couldn't understand until it dawned on him.

"It wasn't my choice to begin with was it." His heart shook at this answer knowing no matter what happened he would still have played into Shin's hand.

"No you had two choices but when you entered this building they were already decided for you, either you joined or die, you just didn't know at the time." Dabi rested his chin on his hand.

"What about you? How did you come to find Shin?" A flash of anger lit in Dabi's eyes before suddenly disappearing.

"I died then was given a new life by Shin." Atsuhiro understood that this was his way of telling him to stop asking questions.

"Well in any case let us watch the show." Atsuhiro clapped his hands as the show was about to start.

"Kill him Inasa."

"I CAN'T!" Inasa fell to his knees, the air suddenly felt thin causing him to pull down his mask feeling a sudden heat consume him.

"Inasa you said you were ready, now prove it." Shin gestured and the man reached out again.

"Please kid, please-ARGH!" Shin pushed on his legs with whirlwind causing him to grunt in pain.

Inasa started to hyperventilate, his breathing became fast and his body became excruciatingly hot.

One by one he started taking off his disguise before he showed his appearance, only leaving on the ninja costume.

*Huff*

*Huff*

Inasa gripped onto his heart while Shin calmly waited, no matter what happened today Inasa couldn't die as Shin wouldn't let him.

"You're right I'm not ready so please." Inasa finally managed to huff out a complete sentence only for his heart to drop seeing Shin shake his head.

"You wanted to prove yourself, well this is how you're going to do it. You want to incite change? Well to really change the world you're going to have to get your hands dirty, no matter how much you try to remain ignorant with those rose tinted glasses of yours they can only shield you from so much." Shin sighed, walking a ways away.

"Atsuhiro, does he have a quirk?" Shin asked and the latter shook his head.

"No, he tried to stab me when we met." Atsuhiro shook his head.

"Good." Shin nodded, releasing the wind that was pushing down the thug.

"Alright, I'll give you a chance to live." The man looked up at Shin's words, his body was aching however the adrenaline rushed through him hearing his captors words effectively releasing him from the pain.

"Kill that child and you can go." Shin pointed at Inasa who flinched.

The thug hesitated for a while until he thought about his family, his wife was raising two kids alone and she needed him.

"Sorry kid, nothing personal...…but I have a family." The man pushed himself to his feet, it didn't matter if he would die after killing the kid, it was a chance to survive and he wasn't going to let this opportunity go.

"Stop! Wait!" Inasa showed a look of horror seeing the man rush at him.

Inasa scrambled to his feet as the man hurriedly limped after him, wind started to condense below his feet however before he could take off into the sky the man grabbed him.

*GASP*

Inasa gasped feeling the air forcefully rush out of his lungs from the man throwing him onto the pavement with all his might.

"No…..stop….Shin…help." Inasa felt like he was unable to breathe as he crawled over to Shin asking for help.

"Inasa right now you can only help yourself." His pupils shrank at Shin's ruthless words.

"I'm sorry." The man spoke as sadness filled his voice, flipping the kid around before grabbing his neck.

"ACK! S-S-S-STOP!" Inasa choked out feeling his air intake dwindle before suffocation followed.

The man started to cry as he repeatedly said the same two words 'I'm Sorry' over and over again.

Inasa's face started to turn blue as his eyes started to roll to the back of his head while Shin was calmly watching this.

'I guess he's going to experience death first.' Shin was about 89% sure that Inasa would succumb to his fears and die by this random grunts' hands.

Inasa's eyes rolled back as he thought about his life before Shin, everyone ignored him since he was classified as a S rank potential threat along with being the son of a heinous villain.

No one wanted to even talk to him, not even the head of the orphanage Mrs. Whitworth acknowledged his existence, that was when Inasa felt the worst feeling he would ever feel, loneliness.

Everyday felt the same, he woke up then was ignored, he brushed his teeth while people gazed at him in disdain, ate while everyone avoided him like a plague, and slept with no one even carrying if he woke up.

Then one day a kid with white hair and red eyes actually talked to him and asked to be his friend.

At first Inasa thought it was a cruel joke however when he saw Shin sincerity he became ecstatic.

The loneliness washed away after finding someone who wasn't afraid of him, and after that he hung out with Shin all the time.

People stopped looking at him like he was a nuisance and finally acknowledged his existence, for the first time in his life he felt seen.

'I can't die here.' His eyes rolled back into place as he put his hand on the man's stomach..

"I'm sor- '' The man who was crying immediately stopped as he felt a piercing gust come from below him, looking down he saw a large hole suddenly appear in his abdomen.

"Told you." Dabi muttered under the suspense filled Atsuhiro who was shocked at the sudden turning point in the show.

"W-what?" The man still in shock touched his stomach as his hand went through as blood suddenly gushed out onto his hand.

Inasa gripped the arm that was holding him down using an air slash to cut away from his grasps before using air to propel himself backwards.

"Huh? What?" The man couldn't understand the sudden events as even his brain wasn't recovering from the shock thanks to the heap of adrenaline.

*Cough*

*Cough*

Inasa threw the hand from his throat while clutching his crushed throat, then after feeling the air current rush into his lungs he stumbled up.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry you have a family and you seem like a caring person." Inasa's voice was husky and scratchy as his vocal cords were somewhat crushed, blood started to seep from the edges of his mouth signaling him to stop talking.

"But...…I'm sorry." Inasa couldn't find an excuse nor could he find a reason, only replying with the two words the man kept saying to him hoping it was enough.

Holding out his hands his heart shook before he forcefully steeled his resolve as the man stared into his eyes in a daze.

Then with a swift motion a vertical slash flowed into the man, a second later the man became two instead of one as he split in half.

Both halves fell in the opposite direction, blood poured profusely from the halves pooling down onto the floor while Inasa lifelessly gazed at the man's dead body.

*Clap*

*Clap*

"Good job." Shin smiled walking over to Inasa while patting his shoulder.

His wounds were healed instantly yet the latter didn't notice, still staring at the man he just killed thinking about his child that would go without a father like he has.

"C'mon let's go." Shin slung his shoulder around Inasa reverting back to his original appearance.

"Dabi, Atsuhiro take this paper, it marks some of the other gang hideouts that I received from Overhaul's memory. I want you two to erase these places from the map." Shin took out a folded piece of paper from his back pocket using whirlwind to float it over to Atsuhiro.

Atsuhiro grabbed the paper and upon unfolding it he saw six addresses, turning his gaze he saw Shin's cold smile and understood his intentions.

"Looks like we get to put on a second act!" Atsuhiro cheered and Dabi rolled his eyes.

"Listen to Atsuhiro Dabi, he knows what he's doing." Those were Shin's last words as Dabi reluctantly nodded his head as he wouldn't have listened to him if Shin didn't say so.

Walking back to the orphanage Shin observed the lifeless appearance of Inasa, he didn't expect Inasa would kill the man but he did expect him to act like this.

"Why did I have to kill him?" Inasa turned his head to Shin who smiled.

"Peace is forged from blood, no matter how you operate to truly bring peace you need to spill blood."

"But All might-"

"Has only stopped the influx of crime only temporarily, in fact the second he dies or shows a weak front is the day people will rise up, it's false peace you'll eventually see his failure." Inasa's gaze turned to the ground.

"Inasa you're naive, it's the reason I kept telling you you're not ready yet you didn't listen. This is reality, this is the real world we live in, this is what happens when you don't listen to me." His words were like the devil's whisper wanting to show Inasa what happens when he doesn't listen to his words.

"But I'm proud of you." Inasa jerked his head at his words seeing Shin's serious face.

"Really?"

"Of course, you proved how much you wanted to bring change. This is your first step in helping the world for the better." Shin reassured and Inasa nodded.

"First step." Inasa whispered and an evil smile formed on Shin's face.

"Well let's get back to the orphanage, you're still not ready so keep training alright?" This time Inasa was going to listen to Shin's words nodding his head.

Shin complimented him while reassuring him of his purpose before they arrived at the orphanage, Toga was sleeping at the door again and he once again carried her to the girls room even though he knew she would sneak into his bed like always.

Inasa quietly climbed into his bed before closing his eyes, wanting this day to just end, Shin also closed his eyes with a smile.

'It's nice to delegate stuff to subordinates.'

[Authors Note: I don't know if it bugs people or not about the whole getting subordinates but it will slow down for the next couple chapters, I do it since it only makes sense for a boss to have trusted subordinates to delegate stuff too. I do the whole convincing thing with whole speech thing so it can make sense idk I just wanted to put this out their, this doesn't mean Shin won't get future subordinates but it feels like I'm forcing it too much so I'm going to be more subtle.]
