1 Prologue

In a dark late-night alley a man was getting off work from the night shift. He didn't have a car or any sort of transportation at that time since the latest train had just taken off. Such bad luck isn't it. Though he had his regular uniform of a salary-worker he still took off the tie and opened upfront two buttons. He had his jacket slung onto his right shoulder as it was the regular autumn night though it was slightly hot.

Walking by the road into the sidewalk and seeing the people who enjoyed the nightlife. He wasn't much of a night person because of work that made him exhausted. All he ever thought of as he was on his way home was his bed and how comfortable it looked in his mind.

As he was walking he bumped into somebody in an accident of course. The man he bumped into was a homeless drunk who probably wasn't right in the head at the moment.

"Watch where you're going, sonny! You're lucky I am old because I woulda whooped you right now!"

The man didn't really say anything other than muttering sorry under his breath as he bowed slightly towards the man. He couldn't make this night go any longer than it has been.

He walked some more and noticed a small park at his side and saw the many people that were there for some reason. Was there some sort of fight? He saw the cheers and the jeers of the people and decided to just not get involved with it.

That was until he saw a blind old lady at the road for no odd reason.

"Ugh, not again."

He muttered under his breath as he walked slightly faster towards the old lady. This had been happening almost every day since he gets off work and it seems the people had made it his job.

He speed-walked towards the lady as she was with her walking stick point to the road instead of the sidewalk.

"Okay, granny let's get you off this road."

Then a sudden car came out of nowhere with cops following behind it.

"Oh shit!"

He put his arm between the grandma's calves and then pulled her shoulder down while raising the calves up.

"Hup we go"

"Wauuuagh! What the bloody hell is going on!"

She was in a sort of panic and started swinging her arms.

"Ow my head, what the hell!"

He said as he was running across the street while the pile of cars was near them as well. It was a police car this time though he stayed in the middle of the street where it was sort of safe ground.

The cars passed and he had some small bruises here and there but it was mostly on the face thanks to the grandma.

"Put me on the ground now!"

"Okay! Okay! Calm down, lady."

He laid the old lady onto her two tiny feet.

"Where the hell is my white cane!"

"Oh, right here my bad."

The old lady went on and on lecturing to nobody. The man had simply slipped away from the situation.

He was now close to home. There were some trees but barely any as he was in the city. The sidewalk cold concrete and the road was his movie tonight. It might have changed the whole video with a pedestrian walking from here to there.

Then he heard a scream. It was of course a young woman's sort of scream. Like how many men are truly capable of pulling a scream like that off?

It was on the right alley to him as he heard some sort of beating going on as if someones just started beating a sandbag. He walked a couple of steps till he hit the corner.

He peaked his face in to see what was a pretty odd situation.

"Help! She's killing us!"

A teen girl was beating up three grown men.

He peaked his face away from the alley and just went back to walking. Then he felt a light tap on his right shoulder.

"Mister mister!"

"Huh?"

"I'm gonna fight you!"

"No"

"How come!"

"Too tired"

"Don't care!"

She then cocked her feet behind her back and locked it between a knee ready to explode.

The man simply just started running.

"Wha!? Get back here!"

It was an odd sight for the public. An adult running away from a teen.

The man ran and ran till he found his apartment.

He saw the girl was close to him and pulled out his key and inserted it. He then twisted it and opened it. The girl was closer now.

She was on his right side about to hit him with her right hand on the face.

Then the door opened and closed right behind her.

After slamming the door shut and hearing some small cries and banging on the door, silence came.

The man ignored almost everything around him getting around to his bedroom. His home is what you would expect for a lower-middle-class salaryman to be like. Cheap. Though the posters of marvel movies and some video games were shown.

The man entered his room and found a plethora of posters most of them were superheroes that he liked. Out of all the superheroes that he did like, one that he liked the most was Spider-Man.

The reason why he liked Spider-Man the most was that he never gave up. He dealt with human problems such as paying rent, dealing with work/life balance and lost even more.

He wanted to be like him and do the right thing. Though there isn't much you can do other than just help your neighbors out a little. He's quite lazy and doesn't work out that much.

He usually watches any sort of cartoon or anime that he thinks looks good. He plays video games as well. He usually uses up his free time during the time he gets off work though usually not the late nights like this.

He laid his back against the comfort of the bed and looked at the white roof on top of him.

Though with its little cracks it still stood. No wall is perfectly smooth.

He laid there thinking of the whole day.

The day went by like this.

He woke up early at around 6 AM then he made and ate breakfast till 6:30 AM then he took a shower and brushed his teeth till 6:50. His work started at 9 AM so he got his usual gaming/anime session in at 7 AM till 8:30. During that session, he read a couple of chapters for My Hero Academia and watched some Jujutsu Kaisen as It just came out.

Later on, he would get on the voice chat with the boys. The people he talked with were probably the only people he has real conversations with and laughs with ever since middle school when they all met in a random game and messaged each other. He had almost spent half of his life with these people and though it seemed sort of a sad tale, he did not care.

After that, he would log off the computer and do some chores. His apartment was pretty small. He liked it because there weren't many chores to be done.

Then it was 8:50. He had a 15-minute walk to work as it was pretty near luckily. People would die for this distance towards their jobs. He would be a little late but it didn't matter to the employees. He had bumped into his fellow neighbors as he waved and said his hellos/goodbyes to them.

He later saw a cat on the ground near an alley and decided to pet it as he was going to work. He was near a shop and decided to get it some milk as well. After that event, he got to work. He had spent almost a couple of hours in overtime because he was late and his boss seemed to not care about what his excuses were, like giving cats milk was a good one right?

As he was working and sorting through documents and sending callers into their main places he got an odd ad.

[If you had the chance to reincarnate into another world would you do it?]

There was a yes or no button at the bottom of it.

Normally he would press the X button on the top right of the pop-up and just ignore but something was different this time.

The thought of reincarnation came into his mind a lot when he was a teenager going through the motions of puberty. He always thought he would have a better life and that he would be way happier that way.

Then he thought about what he had at that moment and what could he lose?

'I could lose my parents, friends, and computer..."

The thought of doing it vanished from his mind right after in his teen years. Though it had now come up during adulthood.

His father and mother died of old age but that was because they had him when they were around 40-50 and odd age to be having babies but it was still done. They cared for him. They didn't understand what he was doing in college but the thought of him being in college gave them pride instead.

He was sad when they had passed away as he hadn't spent that much time with them in the 21 years they had together. Though he always did figure out that they wouldn't want him to be focusing on them his whole life though he did know he still thought of them.

The friends he used to have from High School and College are both scattered and don't really remember him that much. Though some would call and text and rare moments of the months. Though he had friends online and it felt real to him that these people were his friends he still wanted to meet new people.

His computer was the last thing he wanted to part away with before he died. It's safe to say his addiction to computers started when his parents and he moved to the states. His father's old busted-down laptop gave him access to it.

It felt like a whole new world he had gone into and he wanted to enter it again and again. To be honest the first game he had ever played was called ROBLOX though this was in 2012. He's been ever since, he used to be super addicted to it to where his parents had to confiscate the laptop from him.

Though as life went on the game sort of got too young for him. The mass amount of children who play it today is insane, well to him since back then barely anyone paid attention to the game at all.

Though no he barely plays it. Some of his friends online still play and sometimes he joins them and remembers the nostalgia from it.

Though losing that nostalgia and experiencing it all again would be the best feeling for him.

He had decided to press the yes button for the jokes of it though it's just an ad from his work computer.

[Choose World to Reincarnate in]

This seemed like a hard choice for many but he was pretty simple as he only had some in his mind at the moment.

'A modern world with powers would be the best let's see...'

He had many choices of superhero worlds that were there. Then he thought of one, this was the one he was reading chapters for.

He clicked onto the button and then a list fell upon him. It seemed to on forever and never-ending... how would he find his world?

[Search]

Then his flashing line showed on it.

He searched the world up and pressed enter.

[My Hero Academia]

Below that option then shown a text box.

[Choose what quirk you want below]

He typed into the textbox with the excitement of a child writing down what they want for Christmas.

He wasn't really the smartest and didn't really care for conquering the world or having power amongst all. He just wanted to live the life of it.

[I want powers like spiderman!]

Then the last button of all came.

[Submit]

He clicked submit as quickly as he saw the button.

Then the ad closed.

After that work ended and he began his journey home.

He is sleeping.

This night would be the most comfortable night of his life as his body slowly faded and went more transparent as the hours go by.

It started with his toes then up to his calves then all the way to the stomach. It kept on coming onto him that he felt his legs were floating.

Then slowly as for sure, it reached his face. A sense of bliss was shown till there was nothing anymore.

He slept.
