4 Chapter 4: Practical Exam (1)

Okay, over the past week or so, I've been sick. As of releasing this, I'm getting better. So, thanks for waiting!

~~x~~X~~x~~

So, I've thought about how I can pass the Practical Exam. The best way to pass would be to use my fire quirk to melt the robots. Robots are metal and depending on the metal, they can melt at high temperatures. Their insides are mechanical and therefore can be overheated.

So, I concluded what I should do for the exam. I should also test other things out. I can also use the Practical Exam to train my quirk more. It's like free real estate, just up for grabs.

My thoughts soon came to an end as I reached the auditorium, the place where Present Mic made his first appearance. I opened the door to the auditorium. From what I saw, most of the examinees haven't arrived yet.

According to how everyone was seated by schools, I sat at the back. Fortunately, this gave me a good view. I could see all the examinees, which meant I could see the main cast.

Soon after, more and more examinees entered the auditorium. Some familiar faces from the anime. Since it hasn't started yet, I thought about the slight mistake I made.

While I graduated early, the main cast had not, eight months ago. I guess remembering all the scenes from the anime or manga is impossible.

Not being able to remember parts of the story was worrying, but it wouldn't matter. The moment my presence entered this alternate universe, it had delved off into a different universe. Who knows if it was already a different universe, or if it delved into an entirely different universe?

That's enough of those thoughts. It'll only keep going deeper and deeper into madness. That is not my cup of tea.

I soon realized the auditorium was packed full of examinees. If I had to guess, there were more auditoriums since there were so many students who came to take the exams to get into Yuuei.

Soon enough, Present Mic had entered the auditorium. He stood in the middle of the stage and soon began to talk.

"For all you examinee listeners tuning in, welcome to my show today!" Present Mic announced using his quirk so everyone could hear.

"Everybody say "hey"!" Present Mic said, wanting people to scream, "Hey!"

That prompted him to turn his head away from everyone, with his hand on the side of his head.

In response, no one said anything. Almost like in the anime, the word "Silence!!" appeared above his head. I rubbed my eyes, and it seemed I was hallucinating.

I wasn't going to respond and be the odd one out. Now, there was nothing wrong with responding, but I'm not going to be the outlier here.

"What a refined response." He quickly said while shaking. He quickly followed up with an explanation of what the exam was about.

"Then I'll quickly present to you the rundown on the practical exam!" He followed up while pointing his finger out while grinning.

"Are you ready?" He almost screamed out, wanting a response again. He had done yet again a weird pose.

I would've thought he had learned his lesson the first time, but he did not.

"YEAH!" Present Mic yelled But, yet again, there was silence.

Soon after Present Mic yelled, I could hear mumbling. I'm not joking! I heard fanboy muttering.

"As it says in the application requirements, you listeners will be conducting ten-minute mock urban battles after this!" Present Mic had exclaimed.

After he had said that, something had appeared on the smart board behind him. [You Are Here] was in the middle, and the [You Are Here] 'box' pointed to seven locations, Test Site A through G.

"You can bring whatever you want with you. After the presentation, you'll head to the battle centers, okay?" Present Mic explained, yet again, waiting for responses from the examinees.

Of course, no one had responded. Everyone began to pick up the Exam Tickets that were given.

"Okay?!" Present Mic had yelled in frustration.

All I could think of was, 'What a tough crowd.'

According to what I remember, Midoriya had Battle Center B, and Bakugo had Battle Center A. It seemed I had Battle Center D. I wonder if anyone from the main cast will be at my Battle Center.

"Three different types of faux villains are stationed in each battle center. You earn points for each of them based on their difficulty." Present Mic explained while on the screen behind him, three blacked-out robot sprites appeared, along with a drawn example of a battle center in the middle. The blacked-out robot sprites reminded me of Pokemon. 'Guess That Pokemon, it's PIKACHU!!!!!' Good old days.

"Your goal, dear listeners, is to use your Quirks to earn points by immobilizing the faux villains." Present Mic continued while an 8-bit game appeared behind him, giving us an example of what it'd be like.

"Of course, attacking other examinees and other unheroic actions are prohibited!" Present Mic finished his explanation.

Soon after, a blue-haired boy stood up and raised his hand while speaking.

"May I ask a question?" The blue-haired boy asked.

"Okay!" Present Mic quickly gave a quick response.

"On the printout, there are four types of villains. If that is a misprint, then Yuuei, the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake." The blue-haired boy, who I recognized as Iida, sternly reprimanded Present Mic, wanting an explanation.

"We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes." Iida continued not giving Present Mic a chance to respond.

"In addition, you over there with the curly hair--" Iida called out to Midoriya. Midoriya's response was to point at himself.

"You've been muttering this whole time. It's distracting! If you're here on a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately!" Iida sternly told Midoriya.

I heard Midoriya mutter; if I had to guess, It'd be him apologizing. People then began to giggle and laugh. Do I blame them? No. Is it right? No. But that's life.

"Okay, okay, Examinee Number 7111. Thanks for the great message." Present Mic called out to Iida. After he spoke, the Zero-Pointer Robot Sprite appeared behind him. I think it was Mewtwo though.

"The fourth type of villain is worth zero points. The guy's an obstacle, so to speak. There's one in every battle center, an obstacle that will go crazy in narrow spaces. It's not impossible to defeat, but there's no reason to defeat it either." Present Mic had explained. Of course, I knew just how important the Zero-Pointer Robot was for points.

"I recommend that you listeners try to avoid it." Present Mic concluded his explanation to Iida's question.

"Thank you very much! Please excuse the interruption!" Iida thanked and apologized to Present Mic.

"That's all from me! Finally, I'll give you listeners a present, our school motto! The hero Napoleon Bonaparte once said:-" Present Mic continued, silence followed for only a couple of seconds.

2 versions appeared in my mind, 'There is nothing we can do' and 'With great power comes great big booty bitches!"

" 'A true hero is someone who overcomes life's misfortunes.' Go beyond. PLUS ULTRA!!!" Present Mic said with enthusiasm.

"Now, everyone, good luck suffering!" Present Mic said his last words to everyone.

Everyone stood up and began to head to the locker rooms to put on their outfits for the Exams. After that, everyone would go to the buses that went to their specific battle centers.

The outfit I changed into was just a white shirt and white sweatpants.

After I was ready, I started walking towards the bus that would drive us to Battle Center D. But as I walked, a black translucent screen appeared before me.

Alright, Author Polar here.

In the previous chapter, someone told me how I had gotten the date for Midoriya's graduation from Aldera Junior High. Now, it doesn't change much, so it's more of a mistake that's there. It's my bad, so yeah.

Also, I should mention this. I write on Grammarly (without premium) and I go over to see if I have any mistakes. I also check the reading time on there. I usually follow that for how long my chapters should be.

While writing this, I think I should point out that I'm going to be using the subtitled version of the anime. Everyone seems to use the dub, so I think it'd be unique to use the sub instead.

It was unexpected for me to be sick. I'm starting to feel better, but I'm still a bit sick. I should be fine by the end of the week.

Also, gimme more shit, I want more. I'm greedy, but I think that was obvious. Also, criticize this more as it needs more criticism to evolve into a better story. Both the Author and the readers have to have some form of communication on what should be better. In order for both sides to be happy and enjoy the finished project.

Bad Take: Mina was one of the best girls in MHA. You can't tell me I'm wrong.
