37 Tomboy

"So, what are you doing here?"

Mineta calmed himself and asked curiously, wondering why this girl could appear here.

"My apartment is over there."

Kendo pointed her finger at the building where she lived. Her family was living in Chiba, so she had to stay in the apartment after she was accepted into Yuuei High School.

Mineta nodded since even though they had often talked on the phone, neither of them said where they would be living in the Musutafu.

"How about you?"

Kendo was curious since she had just returned after buying a few meat buns at the convenience store for breakfast.

"My house is here."

Mineta pointed at the house behind him.

Kendo turned and saw a spacious two-story house on the side. The house was fairly old, but it seemed to be firm and secure.

"Eh? Didn't you come from Kamakura? Did your family move?"

"No, I rented the house."

"Rented? Isn't it quite hard for a boy to live in this spacious house alone?" However, Kendo suddenly realized something, and her face blushed. "Ah, don't tell me... are you going to live with Ibara here?" She asked this question quietly and carefully, even if only the two of them were here.

"No, if she lives here, her father might kill me."

Mineta shook his head and sighed in regret.

His answer caused Kendo to sigh in relief and laugh. "By the way, have you eaten breakfast yet? I bought some meat buns here."

Mineta looked at Kendo, who showed several meat buns in the paper bag in her hand.

"Not yet, but is that okay?"

He wondered why he felt like he was talking with his male friend, but he knew that it was kind of rude to think so, especially when she was so cute like this. Instead of being troubled, he also felt it was kind of refreshing since this was his first time meeting such a girl.

"Why not?"

"Well, why don't you enter my house? I will give you tea or juice."

"Thank you. I am also curious about your house."

"You're my first guest here. Come in."

Mineta turned and entered the house.

Kendo also followed Mineta with a smile.

The two entered at the same time, and Mineta gave her a slipper to wear.

"Wear this."

"Thanks again."

Kendo sniffed her nose and felt his house smelled nice somehow. It had a fresh, fruity-like smell, which made her comfortable. "Your house smells nice."

"Pervert."

Mineta rolled his eyes.

"Hey, what do you mean by that!? I am just praising your house!" Kendo fumed and felt slightly annoyed about being called a pervert, but she also couldn't deny her words were quite misleading.

"I was just kidding, but thanks for the praise."

"If you keep saying that, I won't share my meat bun with you."

"Sorry, sorry. I will give you the best grape juice then."

"Grape juice?"

Kendo looked at Mineta curiously and said, "Ibara often says that you're good at making drinks, especially grape juice."

They had often talked to each other after their last meeting during the entrance exam, and the relationship between the four was good. Even more than mere friends and less than lovers.

In other words, best friend?

Anyway, no matter what the shape of their relationship was, they were comfortable with each other.

Still, what he didn't know was Kendo, and Kodai often asked about Mineta from Ibara since they were curious about how their relationship began, which made them know how their relationship began. They also talked about what stage their relationship was at.

Ibara didn't hide it since she also wanted to talk with someone, considering her chest almost exploded every time she thought about him.

However, Mineta didn't know all of that since he had never shown much interest in their girls' talk.

Kendo glanced at Mineta and couldn't help but blush since if Ibara didn't tell her, she might not know what kind of rascal this guy was.

Still, she might seem calm, but inwardly, she was quite nervous and excited since it was her first time entering his house alone.

However, unexpectedly, she soon forgot all of that since she had fun with Mineta, talking to each other.

As they talked, they entered the living room.

Mineta let Kendo sit on the sofa while he went to the kitchen to prepare his grape juice.

On the other hand, Kendo looked around curiously.

"You know what? If you're a guy, you might have a lot of girlfriends, Itsuka."

This is what Mineta felt when he talked with Kendo.

"What do you mean by that? Are you saying that I am not girlish enough?" Kendo pouted.

"No, you're cute. I am sure you have many boys who fell for you in middle school."

"...Tha-thanks!" Kendo was embarrassed, but she said, "Are you not afraid that I am going to tell Ibara that you have been bullying me." She wanted to see how this guy was going to react when she was going to tell Ibara.

"Then, as an apology, please taste this grape juice."

"..if it isn't good, I won't forgive you."

Kendo sipped grape juice while pouting since this guy avoided her question.

However, Mineta wondered whether this girl didn't seem to be wary if he put something on the drink, such as an aphrodisiac, sleeping pill, or something.

'Well, it isn't like I need one.'

He was confident.

"Wow, it's so good!"

Kendo was surprised by the taste of the grape juice since it was so refreshing. The taste was rich, slightly sour, and sweet, which was kind of addictive.

"Where did you buy it?"

"I made it myself."

"Really?"

Kendo was even more surprised by him.

"You can bring some if you want. I made a lot of them."

"Eh? Is that okay?"

"It's alright. I have a lot of them."

He knew that with how good his beverage was, it might be good to create a beverage company in the future.

Anyway, with how crowded the hero industry was, Mineta thought that he had to be better than others.

Not everyone could be like All Might and other heroes who were at the top of the Hero Billboard Chart JP, making a lot of cash every month.

The hero was a civil servant, and even though they could take other jobs, the money received was high, but it was far from enough to satisfy his greed.

Soon, they were at ease and talked for so long until it was in the afternoon.

"Sorry, Itsuka, I have to go somewhere after this."

"It's okay. Where are you planning to go?"

While Kendo was slightly disappointed, she didn't force herself to stay. Staying in a place far away from her parents made her quite lonely, especially when she didn't have an acquaintance around.

School hadn't started, so she didn't have a friend to whom she could talk in this city.

Fortunately, she met Mineta, and he was also her neighbor, which eased her loneliness and made her happy. If possible, she wanted to stay so long, but he had something to do.

"Ibara is going to move out today, so I am going to help her move."

"Ah, sorry for staying too long then." Kendo only realized that she might have disturbed him.

"No, I am happy that you're here. Like you, I am also quite worried about living in this city alone, so I am glad to know I have a good neighbor."

"Hey, you sure know how to say something nice. It seems that not all the things that come out of your mouth are bad things," Kendo said with a laugh, feeling happy.

Mineta rolled his eyes and said, "By the way, do you want to visit at night?"

"Eh?"

Kendo was dumbfounded.

"I mean, we can have dinner together. Ibara is also going to be here."

"Ah, I see... that's what you mean..."

Kendo muttered while blushing, feeling his words were misleading. "No, I don't want to interrupt your time together."

"You're not bothering us, though."

"You have a girlfriend. What about me? Do you know how it feels to be a single girl before a lovey-dovey lover?"

"Haha... my bad, then. I thought you were not good at cooking, so you felt embarrassed."

"What?! I am good at cooking! I will show it to you in the future!" Kendo couldn't accept his provocation.

"Well, I can't wait for it."

"You should." Kendo nodded and said, "Then, I will go back now. See you later."

"See you."

Mineta waved his hand and sent her out. However, when she went out, he glanced at her back for a moment before he closed the door. He shook his head and let out a long sigh, feeling strange for some reason. He should be taking everything easy, but when he thought about the system and Kendo, he felt strangely uncomfortable.

However, he decided to throw this matter aside and ignored it since he didn't realize how his decision would change his life.

On the other hand, when Kendo walked out, she stopped and looked at his house in silence, feeling slightly lonely, before shaking her head and leaving since she knew it was wrong if she dared to ask more than this.

Still, looking at the liters of grape juice in her hand, her mood improved, and she thought of giving him something to thank him for.

"Yosh!"

Kendo clapped her cheeks hard and decided to do her best in the Yuuei!
