Chapter 29: Unrivaled

After the short break, the crowd indeed scattered as bathrooms got filled to the brim.

Midnight and the heroes had to do damage control or a stampede will happen.

The match ups were then decided.

Match 1: Alex vs Momo

Match 2: Izumi vs Katsuki

"Yosh! Are you readyyyy!?" Hizashi screamed and the crowd was eager to see teenagers beat the shit out of each other.

"People are too excited to see us try to kill each other with our powers." Alex sighed.

"That's right... I'm even tempted to just give up here and now." Momo nodded.

"Ohh? What changed your mind?" Alex smiled at her.

"Kirishima is the strongest person in our group physically. Only Melissa and Izumi can last against him. And that's only because they can fly." Momo clapped.

"So I want to show you as well, what I've learned. What I was able to gleam. To show you how far I've come." Momo squinted her eyes.

"I like the look in your eyes." Alex nodded at her with a smile.

"Start!" Hizashi screamed and Momo busted out a support item.

An arc reactor. She then sweated a bit as she formed thrusters and power supplies for it.

"Amazing, you memorized that? As expected of a genius." Alex was impressed. Momo's memory and recall is next to none.

"Come and get some!" Momo charged as she flew right to him.

Large metal arms formed on her limbs and Momo tried to squash him with a hammer fist.

Alex blocked it with his tigrex paw and his feet got sunken into the ground as a crater formed below him.

"Amazing momentum and power, but that's a mistake against a cqc specialist." Alex schooled her as he sunk his hands into the metal and pried it sideways.

Momo was open for an attack and Alex kicked her on the chest.

"Gah! Not yet!" Momo shed the metal fists and she had a detonator on hand.

A couple of kilograms of c4 exploded and she instantly formed two gatling guns filled with armor piercing bullets.

Firing them for thousands of rounds a minute, she unloaded all of the bullets she made with her quirk and Alex's wings took out the cloud of dust.

His green scales and shell were damaged, but it was pretty negligible.

"Tsk, how hard are your scales?" Momo clicked her tongue.

"Hard enough." Alex went purple as he used his great Jaggi form and Momo formed a lance.

She used Soru and went for a thrust at blinding speed.

Alex dodged it like he had no bones and Momo hardened her muscles with Tekkai.

Her world still got rocked as he hit her right on the chin.

"No! Not yet! I can do more! So much more!" Momo made two palms of metal and smashed it together with him in the middle.

It was filled with napalm and she used some flint to set it on fire.

Alex burned and everyone gasped, but he just stood there.

"Temperatures like these do not harm me, Momo. But it was certainly a good try." Alex nodded at her.

After all, rathians walk through molten lava without any issues.

"Then take this!" Momo created a one-time use railgun and she fired it at his torso.

Alex went wide eyed at the vicious attack as it crashed against his scales and shell.

Like a piercing round in monhun, it went through him. Though before it hit his flesh, the round's kinetic energy got decreased a lot.

Midnight hissed and she was about to call the match.

But Alex formed some thick vitajuice and slathered it on his wound. The crowd got creeped out as it regenerated his critical wound.

Momo was about to make another, but she suddenly went limp as she was brought to her knees.

"You're using up too much of your lipids Momo. Nemuri, call the match." Alex sighed as he gave her some vitajuice as well to make her feel better.

"W-winner is Alex." Midnight can't believe a damned teen just walked off a bullet-hole the size of a fist.

"Did I do well?" Momo was still a bit out of it, but she managed to ask him.

"You did, rest now." Alex smiled at him and Momo went unconscious with a beaming smile.

*+300 affection with Momo for enabling her to go this far. Relationship status changed to Idol? Crush? Or a heart disease?*

"Momo's amazing, I can't dish out that amount of damage even with my exo suit." Izumi frowned.

She was getting cold feet, facing against Katsuki.

It wasn't that easy to forget how the blonde dominated her.

"Izumi..." Katsuki locked on to her and Izumi went wide eyed at her expression.

'Kacchan's taking me seriously...' Izumi closed her face plate and her arc reactor whirred.

They stood there sizing each other up for a solid minute.

Then Izumi fired her repulsor at Katsuki. She immediately took the skies as the blonde would definitely try to run her over.

"Ohhh! An aerial dogfight! You don't see this every day!" Hizashi was amazed at the sight.

The crowd went wild as Izumi tried to shoot down Katsuki. But her wild instincts was unmatched.

Katsuki dodged her blasts with precise explosions on her torso. Changing her trajectory before she could get hit.

'Tch, Kacchan's too good at dodging.' Izumi engaged her shoulder pads and it revealed miniature rockets.

"Deku! That won't work on me!" Katsuki released an explosion.

Seeing Allmight do it in America. Using a Detroit smash against missiles.

Izumi's vision was suddenly clouded by smoke and she tried to get a visual frantically.

"Ora!" Katsuki appeared from above with an axe kick and Izumi was sent spiraling down on the ground.

"You've done well Deku! But I'm here to win it all!" Katsuki chased her like a heat-seeking missile.

Izumi went into a stance as the metal plates of her armor rearranged for physical combat.

The hydraulics of her suit released steam and she used a modified version of gun kata. Using her repulsors instead.

Katsuki sent a barrage of blows at her and their speed got equalized by her armor.

The both of them having a martial arts display as Izumi tried to give palm strikes to fire her repulsor.

While Katsuki attempted to give a devastating explosion.

Izumi's armor was receiving too much chip damage from Katsuki's explosions and she opted for another strat.

Wires suddenly stabbed on Katsuki's skin and she got fried by electricity.

"Gah! Y-you fucker!" Katsuki headbutted her helmet and an explosion made Izumi fall to the ground.

Katsuki punched her right on the chest, frying her arc reactor as a crater formed below Izumi.

"Kha!" Izumi felt all the air in her lungs escape and Katsuki ferociously put the beat down on her.

Izumi's armor powered down and she could only stay there on the ground.

Midnight then used her quirk on Katsuki to stop the fight.

"Stop, stop! Winner is Katsuki Bakugou!" Midnight pulled her from the waist and Katsuki was breathing heavily.

"Hmph, you did well reaching the semis Deku. But you're still an extra, I'm going to be number one." Katsuki huffed.

'Ahhh, I lost.' Izumi's face plate was opened by Melissa.

"Izumi..." Melissa looked at her in worry. "It fricking hurts Melissa. I still lost even with Alex's training and our suits."

"It's okay, Izumi. It's fine, you did well." Melissa hugged her and she was given some vitajuice by Alex.

"Good work Izumi, I expect even more upgrades next time." Alex ruffled her hair.

She then saw him enter the arena. "I... I will." Izumi sniffled.

A short break was given for Katsuki and Alex. They then went to the arena after Cementoss fixed it again.

"Alex, you motherfucker." Katsuki glared at him. She was personally motivated.

"Yeah, I am. I just clapped her cheeks last night." He deadpanned at Katsuki, it was getting old.

"You! I'm gonna beat you up! You think I'd lose!? Nah, I'll win!" Katsuki screeched.

"Are you READYYYYY!?" Hizashi screamed his loudest for the finals.

"3." Midnight raised her arm and Katsuki's heart was beating loudly.

"2." Alex breathed in deeply as he went into his stance.

"1." Midnight dropped her arm and Katsuki immediately launched herself at him.

And with Katsuki being his hardest working, best, student. Her immense talent combined with her work ethic.

She is the only one amongst them who can use the six powers as well.

Combining geppo and soru with her explosions, she went supersonic in no time and released a kick at him.

Alex bent backwards with inhuman flexibility, expecting her to attack immediately.

Katsuki diverted her momentum upwards as she would face major backlash.

"Bunker buster!" Katsuki charged at him again and the dome shook with an armor piercing explosion she concentrated.

Alex's pupils turned to slits as he waited for her to try and bomb him.

He then smacked her arms sideways with impeccable timing. Diverting her special attack sideways.

"Hngh!" He grabbed her arms and released a vicious knee at her chin.

Katsuki got rocked and while she was midair, Alex released a roundhouse right at her temple.

She bounced on the ground like a pebble and Katsuki was out.

But before Midnight could call it, she stood up on shaky legs.

"Ahhh!" She slapped herself and she glared at him even with a blurry vision.

"Come, Katsuki." Alex gestured for her to come at him.

"Raaaah!" Katsuki overclocked her body as she used multiple focal points for her explosive acceleration.

An onslaught of blows that were sped up by her quirk being activated on her joints assaulted Alex.

He blocked them on the thickest parts of his armor and parried the rest.

Their fight entered blinding speeds as Katsuki cancelled her momentum from time to time for feints.

Their blows crashed against each other and Katsuki didn't care if her knuckles got banged up.

"Alex!" She roared as she released an explosion on the back of her head before headbutting him.

"Your instincts are top notch! But mine are good too!" Alex roared as he did a flip sideways.

Katsuki got swiped by his tail and she flew like a bullet.

"Fuck!" Katsuki got hit by spines and she froze. The pain made her knees buckle. Not expecting how bad it was.

She broke into a cold sweat and she saw Alex walking towards her menacingly. With fire burning inside of his mouth.

"Tch! Fuck everything!" Katsuki jumped and she flew to the sky.

Pooling all of her sweat, Katsuki gathered as much as she could.

Alex breathed in air as his flames got more and more concentrated.

"Oppenheimer!" Katsuki screamed and Alex released a massive fireball.

The dome went kaboom and thankfully, Cementoss already formed multiple walls of thick concrete.

UA got shook and even the other years stopped, thinking there was an earthquake.

And when the dust settled, everyone peeked through the barricades. Seeing Alex in the middle of the ruined arena covered in thick, green scales.

He looked at the sky and Katsuki was falling down, unconscious. Being flung upwards by the explosions.

"Not there yet Katsuki, but I would say that would be enough to level an entire city block." Alex flapped his wings and caught her.

Though he noticed that he had internal bleeding due to the shockwave. And his insides were definitely damaged.

He coughed up some blood as he put Katsuki down gently.

"Ahhh, I love me some vitalily juice." Alex drank some and he started healing.

Though he sat down as well after giving Katsuki some as he was swamped.

Fighting a lot and healing himself and others multiple times took a lot of energy.

"You okay? Nemuri?" Alex looked at the side where Midnight was hiding with Cementoss.

"Barely. T-the winner of the UA sports festival is... Alex!" Nemuri shouted because the speakers don't work anymore.

"The undisputed winner! The strongest among them! Unequaled! Unrivaled!" Hizashi screamed and the audience loved it.

"Hah, Nezu is insane. Overworking teenagers like this." Alex sighed heavily as he waved at the people tiredly.
