Katsuki Blaze (Part 2)

Misconception

------

I, little birdie, and Aizawa-sensei walked along the pavement. After leaving the confines of my prison, I thought that I have achieved freedom.

It turns out that I was merely switching prisons.

An awkward atmosphere surrounded us as we walked silently towards our destination. With me casually swaggering, little birdie cautiously walking behind, and Aizawa-sensei looking bored.

"Do you have a car, Aizawa-sensei?"

"..."

I will take that as a silent agreement.

"Do I have a roommate?"

"..."

"How about pocket money?"

"..."

"Surely the school will provide–"

"–You're very talkative than usual."

I momentarily stopped walking.

"Bakugo."

Aizawa-sensei eyed me from the corner of his eyes as I continued walking like I didn't hear him.

"Well, I'm working on my hero persona."

"Hero persona?"

I nodded my head.

"Hm, All Might have one, so I thought I should also have one."

Aizawa-sensei.

"You've matured."

Out of all the people I encountered besides AllMight.

"That's good."

You are the only one I respect.

"Nezu wants to meet you. After you arrange your luggage go to his office."

I wonder why?

"Yes, Aizawa-sensei."

If you keep suspecting me like that then even if I respect you...

"Also don't cause any more trouble."

I might have to kill you.

"Okay..."

------

[Is UA nurturing criminals?]

[Student kills Villain live on camera while AllMight stood watching.]

[AllMight retiring. Is this the end of the Symbol of Peace?]

These words seemed familiar to me.

"...Wow~."

A sarcastic gasp escaped my lips while reading these headlines.

Mere sophistry.

"Wow, indeed."

These words were attached to an LED TV screen high above the wall. Every channel I switched to, my picture, AllMight's picture, and of course, All For One's censored corpse is in it.

"That's very concerning. 'Is UA nurturing criminals?'. What do you think Bakugo-kun, is UA nurturing criminals?"

A certain bear dog asked me. His black marbles kept boring holes into my eyes the moment I stepped foot in his office. 'Principal Nezu' was written on his wooden plaque.

"Certainly not principal."

Of course not. That's just the media spinning the story. It was all an accident. I didn't kill the guy- he killed himself. It's not my fault he let his guard down.

"Hoh?"

Principal Nezu made a gesture. "Would you like a cup of tea?" He asked while a barely noticeable smile appeared on his bear dog-like snout.

"No thanks..."

Your gaze scares me.

"Really? It's jasmine you know~?"

Please, this body doesn't have poison resistance yet. I wouldn't take my chances.

"I appreciate the gesture but I don't really drink tea."

"Hm, well, suit yourself."

Principal Nezu placed his elbows on the table. His fingers clasped together, hiding his lower jaw. In this dark and cold office, his figure was like a supervillain mastermind plotting something sinister behind the scenes.

"You seem different. Bakugo-kun."

"Really? Aizawa-sensei also said the same thing."

"Hm, it's not only your way of speaking. Even your body language and temperament changed."

"..."

"Can you tell me what happened? I might not look like it but I have a PhD in psychology."

...Shit.

"You were with them for a few hours. Can you tell me what did they do to you?"

"...They didn't do anything."

"You can tell me. Bakugo-kun."

Nezu stirred his tea while staring at me. The room was silent. Only Nezu's spoon hitting the corner of the teacup reverberated. The cold air felt stifling. This wasn't supposed to happen.

I'm trapped.

"Principal Nezu."

"Yes?"

"Can I ask what Quirk you have?"

"Hm~, why do you wanna know my Quirk?"

Another trap.

He's testing me. His suspicion will grow the moment I answered incorrectly. Does Bakugo know what Quirk he has? The more time I spend thinking the more he will grow suspicious.

"Nothing much. Just curious."

"Well, I'll answer it if you answer my question first."

"Okay."

I took a deep breath.

[Bullshit mode on!]

"They asked me to join them."

"Oh? I see..."

"They said I had villain qualities."

"Well, you really do~."

Are you sure you're a principal?

"I already knew that. But even so... I refused them."

Nezu nodded his tiny head. "Hm," Even though I couldn't see his lips, I could feel that he's in a good mood.

Good. Now time to pull the finisher.

"AllForOne threatened me. He said he will steal my Quirk and kill me afterwards."

Nezu's closed eyes suddenly opened.

"I was afraid."

I smiled wryly.

"I was afraid they would take my Quirk."

"...You weren't afraid of getting killed?"

I stared into his eyes.

"Hah, getting killed?"

My smile turned cold.

"The moment I aimed to be the number 1, I already forfeited my life."

"Heroes are people who risk their lives to save others. Even if I die, as long as I could save someone then it wouldn't matter."

I am a hero.

"If I lose my Quirk, then how will I continue to be a hero?"

Naturally, I have to think like one.

"I would rather die than lose my Quirk."

Self-Sacrifice.

"At the last moment, he tried to steal my Quirk. I only acted on reflex. I thought he would be incapacitated or get burned at worse. After all, he tanked my hits like it was nothing."

That's right. It was all an accident.

"I didn't expect him to die..."

Tears welled in my eyes.

"I-I didn't want to kill him...!"

It was just self-defense.

"I-I... I still want to be a hero..."

Before I knew it, Nezu's paws were already around my neck.

"I see... don't worry. You will be."

He comforted me. Like a troubled teen meeting his teacher, I cried in his arms.

"I'll make sure of it."

Sure you will. After all, you still haven't even answered my question yet.

Even after I cried my eyes out for you, you still suspect me.

I'm hurt Principal Nezu.

How could you doubt your student like this?

------

Fun Fact:

Killing intent is a form of weapon for killers. It triggers the instinctual fear in living beings. An example would be if you are trapped in a cage with a lion. You cannot kill someone with killing intent unless they have a frail heart.

------

After crying my way out of Nezu's grasp, I immediately headed off to the nearby school library. I didn't know where it was but I eventually found it.

Pulling up my seat and cracking my knuckles, I began imitating a hacker stalking his childhood crush.

Pulling up the tabs, what greeted me was a hero fan website. It was full of merch, creepy pictures of ass and boobs of famous heroines, and of course, All Might.

"Let's see... Aizawa-sensei. And search."

Well, that didn't work.

That's weird. If they were trying to hide their identity from the public, then why did they introduce themselves to students—much less their family?

Wait. I'm limiting myself here. This world has advanced technology, so their internet is probably ten steps ahead of my old world.

Let's keep it simple...

"Guy with a scarf and dry eyes..."

Immediately, a picture of a guy with a scarf and golden goggles appeared.

Eraser Head - Pro Hero

Quirk: Erasure

ERASURE - allows to cancel out other Quirk powers and abilities simply by looking at the target.

"Oh."

What the fuck?

What is this overpowered bullshit?

And here I was thinking I could take over the world now that AllMight is gone. As expected, this place is a breeding ground for danger. I wonder what kind of dangerous Quirks are gathered here.

Wait.

Why am I searching this online? And on school grounds at that? Wouldn't they be able to trace this back to me?

Picking up my stuff, I immediately opened other random heroes' information and searched Quirk counter and training. I wouldn't have to do this if I used incognito in the first place.

Misdirection 100

"I wasn't here."

And with that, I headed off to Nezu.

With a change of plans, there has to be a change of approach. Since world domination is out of the equation, then I will have to take the second-best option.

Total World Domination.

After all, with the power of explosions—

"Who can stop me?"

------

Two days later.

"Good morning citizens of japan. My name is Katsuki Bakugo, a student of UA High School."

My voice reverberated in the halls of UA auditorium. Beside me is my teacher that I just knew of, Aizawa-sensei. On my left is some sort of white bear-dog that gives me the creeps whenever he stares at me. While in front is a group of news reporters, journalists, etc. That couldn't get a life. Basically they're salty failures that didn't succeed into becoming a hero.

In my old world they are those journalist that hates someone just because they weren't able to achieve their dream job when they were kids.

Like an astronaut for example.

Why would you even hate an astronaut?

"I am here to apologize for the villain's attack a few weeks ago." I can't remember when it was nor do I care. "On that note, I am also here to make a statement."

"Statement...?"

I could hear a few murmurs of surprise beneath me. It's not surprising because I was the one who arranged this press conference. Just last week my idol(?) AllMight-sensei retired, and now I'm saying something about apologies and such.

"A few weeks ago... our school was attacked." I eyed them one by one. "Some of my fellow classmates were injured, and some of the heroes that were assigned to protect us were also injured."

"The League of Villains." I spat.

At this point, I don't even know what I'm saying.

"A group of individuals who are targetting the future heroes." I pointed at myself arrogantly. "Me specifically."

"I'm the reason why our 'Special' training was attacked." That's a lie, I have absolutely no idea why they attacked us. "Therefore, I could only come upfront and apologize."

I bowed.

"I apologize."

That's all you will get from me you low lives.

"I apologize for being weak."

At this point, everyone in the room had their mouths agape.

"I apologize for implicating hundreds, if not thousands of people because of my weakness."

I could feel a firm grip touching my shoulder. I took a glance and saw Aizawa-sensei glaring at me. I merely smiled politely and continued speaking.

"If I wasn't weak, then I wouldn't have been kidnapped. If I could've taken them down, then people wouldn't have died."

I raised my head.

"Therefore I apologize."

My tone of voice didn't sound apologetic.

"But..." I glared at the cameras. "I will not apologize for killing that villain."

"Oi, stop." Aizawa-sensei's gruff voice reached my ears.

I ignored it.

"Ever since the dawn of Quirks, he has ran rampant in our society." I raised my hand and gestured to myself in an explaining manner. "Do you know what he is called in the underworld?"

"Villain's call him... the Symbol of Evil."

That's bullshit. I can't believe I just transmigrated and I'm already spouting bullshit in front of millions of people.

"He ruled the underworld, kidnapping kids with powerful Quirks and stealing them."

I laughed.

"Just like me. If I didn't defend myself, he could have stolen my Quirk!"

I raised my thumb to myself. Aggrieved.

"Now?"

Clap!

"Puff! He's gone!"

Ever since All For One's defeat, a lot of people have been bugging me lately. Not just the Gods even the humans are bothering me.

Some people call me a hero,

While some call me a villain.

Even my supposed classmate looked at me strangely.

All I did was kill some motherfucker that reminded me of a certain someone.

And they call me the bad guy!

"I saved you."

I loomed over them.

"You should be thanking me!"

Even though I sounded angry, I still had a permanent smirk on my face.

"I know, I know." I nodded my head. "I know you all are really grateful to me. After all, I saved thousands if not millions of people dying in the future."

At this point, the entire auditorium grew quiet. It was a cold and dreary kind of quiet. Only my voice, the sole sun that brightens the mood.

"So... since I'm a hero, I'll give you all a break."

I smiled generously.

"I forgive you."

Slowly, my words were like a sword scraping a metal wall. It was so grating that some of those who were listening looked like they were ready to tear my head off.

"After all... now that you lost your Symbol of Peace, you would need a new one right?"

I combed my hair using my bandaged fingertips. My hair slid back as I caressed it slowly.

"Blast."

Like a villain who succeeded in his plans, I smiled gently at the cameras while opening my arms wide and puffing my chest.

"You may call me Blast in the future."

With a wave of my sleaves, I turned around. My steps struck the ground like marbles, walking steadily towards the exit.

"I'll be your Symbol of Peace."

Katsuki Blaze

Unstable* Schemer

Quirk: Explosion(Awakened)

Former child soldier turned gangster. Aspiring number 1 hero that wants to be like AllMight.

(A/N: This just got derailed. This was not the plan at all. I was writing based on the Main Character's perspective and see how it goes, but I didn't think it would go this way. I was planning on making Viktor become some anti-hero and play Bakugo's character in front of his classmates, now I don't know where this is heading. I might need to pull some plot powers to salvage this. Viktor might become a villain at this rate. Well he already was.)
